Run far far away, save yourself the stress and financial loss!…read more I will preface this review by saying this is an account of personal experiences, and does not mean you will absolutely have the same experiences. If you have been a victim of this company, or are involved in legal action, contact me. This is one of those reviews where I wish I could leave zero stars, but alas, we work within the confines of the star rating system. First of all, this property management company is deceitful. They rented me an unsafe property, did not inform me ahead of time of the problems with the property (which I found out they knew about prior to signing a lease), and did not correct the dangerous living conditions. Things you may find when renting from these unethical scam artists: (these are an account of personal experiences, and I do not speak for any one else) 1. First, they told me the property would be cleaned prior to move in. Then after a lease is signed, I moved in to a filthy dirty property, carpets, floors, walls, pretty much everything. They said it was professionally cleaned prior to move in. They could not produce any proof of cleaning (because it did not exist), would not hire anyone to clean, and then charged for cleaning after move-out, even though it was cleaned. Pocketing the money themselves? It's possible. 2. Don't expect too much of anything fixed. It doesn't matter if it is a safety issue or not. They might tell you "the landlord doesn't want to spend the money..." After reading other reviews, I'm convinced they are not speaking for the landlord, as any sane property owner knows you must fix dangerous safety issues. Expect maintenance issues to be a giant, frustrating runaround with a carousel of excuses. Trying to maximize profits at the tenants expense? It's possible. 3. The staff is a hot mess. Completely unprofessional, and flat out rude. Incompetent? It's possible. Recommendations if you must rent through Touchstone for whatever reason out of your control (it would be insane to rent from them by choice): 1. Check for safety of the property. Pest inspection, termite inspection, structural integrity. 2. Ask to see a housing inspection report. One was likely conducted (especially if the property has been on the market.) 3. Ask if there are any known issues with the property. If they claim there are not, require that they put that in writing. 4. Test EVERYTHING before signing a lease. A/C, heat, lights, stove, fridge, freezer... absolutely everything... even more that you normally would. 5. DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. Dates, times, every conversation, pictures of everything. Save voicemails. Ask any repair techs that do come to the property for copies of receipts and their diagnosis in writing. Talk to people about your experiences. This can prove to be very helpful if they lie after you move out. This is a tiny slice of the pie, but I'll leave it at that. If you are a victim involved in or considering litigation, please feel free to contact me. I also recommend going to the BBB if you've been a victim of this company.

Then after 30 minutes of waiting one of the realtors decided to escort us to our property. He claimed that they had to be careful seeing as they have had a lot of burglaries. What the hell were we going to still in a Sudan with baby on board stickers on the car?!!!! We felt racially profiled. If you are a minority be mindful of the way they do business.

He gave us great advice about picking out a lot, with special attention to the location, orientation, and lighting. We're delighted with the way the house turned out! In addition to his expert real estate advice, Steve is a joy to work with. He has wonderful interpersonal skills and is an excellent communicator. He knows how to communicate a client's needs and did an excellent job of advocating on our behalf. Even though we were living out of state, he helped us keep track of the construction process. He was more than generous with his time and did everything possible to see the process through to completion. Steve Doyle came highly recommended through a trusted friend. It was obvious that Steve had a lot of experience. His depth of knowledge was very impressive and eased our concerns regarding new construction. Steve's attention to detail was second to none. More than once, we were able to avert a serious problem because Steve noticed it early on while it was easier to address it with the builder and have it fixed. It was during these times that we were grateful to have a realtor that not only had an eye for detail but also the experience to know what to look for. Steve was also invaluable in our dealings with the builder; he has great communication skills and always gave us great advice each time an issue arose during the build process. I highly recommend Steve Doyle to anyone who is looking for a realtor in the area. I'm just sad that I can't hire him to sell my house in Arizona. We worked so well together that it felt like I knew him much longer than I did. He guided us through negotiations around inspections and shoring up loose legal ends, and he even helped us with a raw land opportunity that popped up halfway through our purchase. When my husband and I…read morewere first looking to move to the area I did a quick search for real estate agents on Yelp, Ryan's paged looked great and since it said he responded to Yelp messages typically within an hour (because who wants to pick up a phone?!) I figured I would reach out to see if he had any last minute availability to show us to a few properties and he did. Although Ryan's office is based in Chapel Hill don't let that deter you, we were only looking in Raleigh. He knows all the ins and outs of the Raleigh neighborhoods and can get here quickly when you need him. We went under contract only two weeks after working with him. He uses Patrick with a local home inspection company to do the inspection and he did a thorough job. After the great inspection Ryan said the only thing left he could think of was a metal detector test of the property, since the house was older and there was a small chance of an underground oil tank. We did the test not thinking much of it and turns out there was an underground tank and it had extensively leaked. Ryan and his assistant Karen headed up making all the appointments and getting the right people out there to deal with the issue. Sadly the seller didn't want to really deal with the issue so away that contract went. Since Ryan knew what we were looking for was kind of niche he sent us a property here and there and we kept our eyes open as well. When a house popped up on the market on a Thursday night we text him if he could meet us there the next morning to take a look. He did and we feel in love. We put an offer in that day and started the process all over again. The second time around we worked with Karen a lot and she is great to work with as well. We successfully closed on this house and love where we ended up. An additional note since Ryan works in a group with a few other real estate agents if you need to see a house in a hurry and he isn't available, he will coordinate with someone in his office who is. Team work for the win!
