But the one issue which became a greater issue came up when I ordered breakfast. After ordering and looking at my receipt, I noticed that the price I was charged did not match what was stated on the menu. After the cashier validated that the prices indeed do not match, she recommended I speak to the front desk. I talked to the front desk and she said that the prices will be changed on the menu the next day. I ordered breakfast again the next day and the prices still have not been updated. During checkout, I discussed the issue with the manager and told him that it was not right to charge customers more than what was stated on the menu. I recommended to him that the hotel should let customers know that they are being charged higher prices than what was advertised on the menu. In addition, I asked him if he would honor the prices stated on the menu. He proceeded to tell me that he is new and that he doesn't know how to fix this issue, even though he the General Manager (GM). He mentioned that he does not have the power to fix issues nor provide any adjustments to the folio. He took my number down and said that the owner will have to call me in order to assist me with this issue. After returning from my trip, I called Marriott customer service and asked if it was normal for Marriott GMs to not have any power to make things right. They told me that GMs should be able to resolve these kinds of issues at their level. They created a case for me and now I'm just waiting to hear back. All in all, I would recommend this hotel for anyone in the area as long as you are okay with being charged higher prices than what is stated.

Additionally, the new doors on the shower would not stay shut they continue to slide open and water splashes every where. We did let the front desk know about this issue and how we had to use towels and the bathroom trash can to "lock" me in the shower so the door would stay shut lol hopefully they will get that issue fixed since they now know about it. They offered cookies in the lobby at 7pm, we didn't get to partake because we were gone out for the evening. There is an outdoor pool (of course it was closed) with a pretty fountain. A wellness center, a business center, and a nice lobby area. The breakfast was until 10am. we went down around 8am and everything was pretty empty, but once we told them they came and filled each thing as we needed it. The hot breakfast items were underwhelming. The potatoes tasted sort of old and they had Canadian ham instead of sausage which wasn't for me, but I'm sure other people love. There was plain and blueberry waffle batter and oatmeal with toppings and fresh fruit. They had 24 hour coffee and hot chocolate complete with whipped cream, sprinkles, and marshmallow options which was very nice! Construction started at 7am (this was on a Sunday) and was VERY loud so if you had hoped for sleeping in like we did then wait until they're no longer renovating. They said with us on the 4th floor at the end of the hall we probably wouldn't hear it, but it was like it was in the room next to us it was so loud. They did have shampoo, conditioner, body wash, liquid hand soap, hand lotion, and facial soap bar in the room which was very nice improvement for Hampton. Overall things were fine. The biggest issue was the hairs all over the shower and there was the disappointment of the super early wake up call of drilling and banging

Horrible Experience - Stay Away From This Hotel…read more We booked Sleep Inn, Spring Lake, NC, based on good reviews. Still, our experience was nothing short of a nightmare due to the unprofessionalism, power-tripping, and outright harassment by their so-called "supervisor," Chanel--who has no business in any management or customer service role. Unprofessional & Hostile Staff Upon check-in, our room smelled musky and damp, but we were too exhausted from driving to deal with it. The actual disaster happened at breakfast. We went down in pajamas and socks, and while the staff were too busy loudly chatting to restock plates, we waited. When we finally got food, a kitchen staff member said we needed shoes but immediately followed with, "Go ahead and eat." No sign or policy was posted anywhere. Not even five minutes later, Chanel aggressively approached us, demanding we put on shoes. When we explained we had just been told to sit and eat, she immediately escalated the situation, saying: "Well, there's no sign, but I can call my GM and make you leave." From that moment on, she was on a power trip, more concerned with threats than solutions. Rather than argue, we took our food to our room--only to have hotel staff knocking on our door 10 minutes later, demanding we leave the premises entirely, despite our fully paid stay and checkout being three hours away. Retaliation, Lies & Incompetence on Full Display Before leaving, I requested a zero balance receipt--a standard request to ensure no additional charges. Chanel initially agreed to print it, but when my wife clarified that we needed a receipt for standard paid service, Chanel suddenly refused and spitefully denied it to us, citing it's 3rd party. While on a speakerphone call with "manager" Stephanie, it became clear that neither intended to de-escalate or assist me as the customer. Instead of resolving the issue, the conversation was nothing but: Telling us what they "couldn't" do Rude, dismissive, and unprofessional behavior No effort to help, only to argue At one point, Stephanie had to tell Chanel how to do her job--reminding her to stop getting loud and aggressive with customers and to answer the front desk phone, which she ignored. It was embarrassing to witness firsthand how incompetent Chanel was at basic responsibilities. Even when the police and I asked for the written "shoes required" policy, Chanel could not produce one. She also lied about speaking to the GM when talking to Stephanie--who wasn't even on-site. Chanel Has No Business in Any Customer Service Role. This woman is utterly unqualified for any supervisory or customer-facing role. Rather than de-escalate or assist, she was more focused on power-tripping, being rude, and making threats. Final Verdict: Do Not Stay Here This hotel is poorly managed and employs staff with no idea how to handle customers professionally. Chanel should never be in a position of authority, and Sleep Inn should be embarrassed to employ someone this incompetent. The misleading good reviews do not reflect the reality--avoid this place at all costs.

The reason why I'm rating this a 4 is because of the kids who ran up and down the hall throughout the night. So SIL kindly booked a room for me to stay here, away from the chaos ;) Such a nice place! Kirby checked me in and was delightful. The lobby (as everywhere else I wandered) was clean and well-appointed. SIL booked using his points, and Kirby immediately changed everything to my name so that I wouldn't have any difficulties - in case I lost a key! My room was on the 1st floor, and as I looked at it I began to wonder if many/all of the rooms here are ADA. There were grab bars in the bathroom as well as fold-down seats in the shower. Speaking of shower though, that was my one disappointment. (My new thing: not a complaint? Minor, it's a disappointment.) The pressure was pretty low. And worse, the heat was inconsistent. I set it to my comfortably hot temp and after about 2 minutes, it grew tepid. So I bumped up the heat and in 2 minutes it was nearly scalding! I went back and forth for a while and finally settled on a temp that wasn't really as hot as I'd like, but didn't cool down enough to make me grimace. I enjoyed the shampoo, conditioner and body wash from the installed dispensers. The bed was extremely comortable. I'm glad they use coffeemakers with little pods instead of k-cup style (no plastic waste, yay!) The coffee was pretty good, too. The free breakfast was predictable: lots of carbs like muffins, cereals, bagels, toast, and a wafflemaker. But the scrambled eggs (from powder?) were decent, as was the bacon and sausage patty. There were hard-boiled eggs, too. Juices, milk and some fruits were also on offer. There were airpots of coffee and decaf, with a choice of half & half, plain and flavored, the usual sweeteners and maybe some tea? I didn't look carefully. I didn't interact with any staff except during checkin & checkout, but other folx I passed in the halls were friendly. All in all, this is one of the nicest Fairfield hotels I've ever stayed in. I was impressed! Oh, PS- I've been in many hotels in a "non-smoking" room but as I'm really sensitive, could smell the odor of stale smoke permeating the furniture and walls. This room was pristine!!

Surely there must be a protocol where cleaning staff report broken wall plates (or anything else) to maintenance and it's addressed immediately. No tangible benefit or even acknowledgment of elite Marriott status with my stay. This sounds a bit pretentious but with over 500 lifetime night stays at Marriott why choose a Marriott property over a competitor at this point? Many Marriott properties have put together very thoughtful elite status packages upon check in or even had complimentary waters in our room. Nothing here. 3 Up....3 Down 1. Staff was friendly 2. Free parking 3. Comfortable bed 1. No USB ports in room, just electrical outlets 2. No bottled water available in rooms 3. The all too familiar 'stray hair' in the tub and frayed threads on the towels.

Friendly staff, and that's about all I can say that's positive…read more Pros: The entire staff. You have a good-sized fridge. There's a microwave. You get a 2 burner stove. A kitchenette sink There are plenty of food choices around. Cons: Very outdated Beds are hard, and pillows are way too flat. The sofa/bed the cushions are so old that you sit and feel the bars for the bed inside. There's no cooking or eating utensils (never witnessed that with any Quality/ Comfort Inn I've stayed at). The carpet/ floors are sticky dirty. Wear socks the whole time. The cleaning crew misses obvious items, such as a dead roach on the TV in the bedroom. The worst thing I have to say about this location is the water pressure for the bath and shower. Trust me when I say you're better off taking a shower in the rain outside. The video shows the max water pressure, but sadly, it fluctuates to be even less as you take a shower.

This review is going to be all about sounds. Why? A little humor and pizzazz always makes reading…read morefun (wink). Pshhhhh is the first sound that comes to mind, followed by a close thbbft (raspberry). All those sounds are to say that I wasn't impressed with the joint. I know face masks definitely take away from customer service but the only indication the guy who checked me in had a pulse, was that he was standing. Bahhh!!! Hardly any words exchanged, aside from the prerequisite, "I need a credit card. Here are your keys." We get to the room and it's really clean, ahhhh (heavenly choir). That is definitely high on the priority list, especially with coronavirus. So that is why this place gets the three stars over the two star rating. Aside from that, I only wish that I would've taken a picture of one of the signs in the room. It would have been epic in two ways. One, it was kind of that polite passive aggressiveness that makes me hnpfh aka smirk. Two, it highlights the overall experience-insert eye roll here. So the sign goes something like this...snort, huh huh huh (chortle): Each room is equipped with wonderful items and as a result, many people may want to purchase them. Here are the following items one may want to purchase with the associated costs. Pillow ($30) Hair dryer ($35) Towel ($20) If we find that any of these items are not accounted for upon your departure, we will take that to mean we are authorized to charge the card on file. Psssss...what?! Hahahhaah! It sounds like sibling were fighting and then came up with intricate rules as to how to proceed!! It reminds me of that "Simpsons" episode when Bart and Lisa are fighting. Bart starts kicking the air then Lisa stars swinging her arms in a circle and they both start coming at each other (neither responsible if the other person gets close enough to get kicked or hit). I digress...but I love that scene (blink eyes, tilt head slightly to the side, look romantically into the air as to reminisce about a favorite childhood cartoon). First of all (insert soundless neck movement), I'm not gonna steal your stuff. This is not the Ritz Carlton, this isn't even the Holiday Inn....woweee it's the Quality Inn aka probably not as good as what you personally own. Just sayin' folks, just sayin'. But thanks for the laugh....tehee! It was some good comic relief from the four hour car trip I just made with a four year old. Okay, I'll get serious. The room had the bare minimum of everything. One towel per person, one bar of soap, no extra blankets, etc. I'm all about not wasting but if your towels are so great, give me another one for my hair! The lighting left something to be desired, no standing lamps either. Not a big deal if you didn't rock those sparse 90's eyebrows. Big deal if you need a good light source to correct the above mentioned 90's eyebrows (gotta throw in a little self-deprecating humor). The room we stayed in made it challenging to get a good night's sleep because I kept hearing car chirps and beeps, along with rhythmic door slams and a blast of headlights to the window and door that didn't seem to shut all the way (thank goodness for those latches). All in all, it was clean and very close to where I needed to be. It served its purpose. The end! Bonus info: I called the main drag near the hotel "the grease strip." Every imaginable fast food restaurant chain exists on both sides of the road. I didn't indulge but a word of caution...the toilet paper is one ply (rimshot and hee hee, ha ha, huh huh)!

I am a big fan of black and white pictures and many were displayed throughout the hotel. The hotel featured a fitness center, cashless store for snacks and a heated pool. The elevator entrance was illuminated and the floors were bright. Our room was spacious and inviting. To operate the lights in the room, a key card was needed (like on a cruise) but there were switches to turn off as well as an on/off switch on the bedside lamps. The room included a kitchen (standard sized refrigerator, microwave, electric stove top, and dishwasher). The bathroom was well lit and it was easy to do my makeup at the vanity. One of the things I missed, was the body wash, shampoo, conditioner. I usually bring my own body wash but as of late, the hotels have some really nice fragranced ones. I didn't like that the shower door opened on the same side as the shower head. It's usually on the other side which allows me to step in and out without getting my head wet. Sometimes I like to keep the shower running so that my husband can jump right in! The bed was comfortable and the TV was a nice size too. Check out was easy breezy and the morning desk associate was just as pleasant. Though I had one or two things I wanted to be different, this new hotel hotel would still get a five star review from me. I definitely recommend guests staying here and I am sure I will be returning.
