It was early , so there were only about 25 people in it. The food was still as good as I remember, especially the chicken pastry and roast beef. The pastry is like your grandma's old style cooking with thickness and plenty of chicken. The roast beef was juicy and tender. The collards were tasty and fresh. The dessert cakes were delicious. The sweet tea was a mixture of MacDonald & Chick Filla. The buffet style is too much and will make you hurt yourself. You must pace yourself. Good eating in a country town.

There are so many things that can go wrong with a blind selection but this one had not one disappointment! The house was built in the early 1900's and has been restored to the grandeur the original owner envisioned. Alan and Patti are the owners and they have worked hard to fill the house with furniture and art appropriate to the age. I believe every guest will be pleased when they first walk in the door. The bedding is very good and very comfortable made up with nice linens not high count cotton thread but very nice. The breakfast served each morning is wonderful. We had scrambled egg, perfectly done, bacon and toast. Fresh fruit and a fluffy croissant filled with chocolate and whipped cream. Sound decadent? It is! The next morning we had quiche with cinnamon raisin toast, fresh strawberries and yes yet another croissant. Just wonderful but breakfast was not the best part. The best part is the caring attentive inn keepers..! Patti and Alan are welcoming, caring and just great people. We talked and the conversation took on the style of friends conversing not acquaintances exchanging small talk. There is an art to that and each of them possess the prompt skills to engage strangers. Jordan answered and was extremely helpful answering all my questions and understanding of the fact that I was planning the reunion from another state. I also appreciated her thorough follow-ups ensuring that I receive the contract on time, letting me know when she was going to charge my credit card and following up with a floor plan for the event. She is obviously an experienced event manager as she had great suggestions for our event. It's a flexible venue and it's nice that you can rent tables, chairs and linens directly through them. My only hangup was the price of linen rentals which were quite expensive (coming from a wedding planner in Hawaii). I also wish they had a vendor that rented out lounge furniture. Other than that, setup and cleanup were a breeze and they were so flexible with our caterer, Pierro's Italian Bistro, who was right next door. Our reunion went off without a hitch! Everyone had a great time and was pleasantly surprised by the venue since many of them had never been to the Rainbow Room before.

The Fairfield Inn in Dunn is conveniently located close to I-95 and dining options are a short…read moredrive away. The front desk clerk was friendly and helpful during check in and check out. She made sure my room was ready and that it was feather free. The hotel is on the newer side. There is a small indoor swimming pool (It was always full when I was near it so I didn't get a photo) and a small fitness room with a variety of equipment. The hotel had two elevators but just one seemed to be working and it was very slow. The left elevator never seemed to be operating during my stay. Breakfast was nice with a large variety of hot and cold items available. I'd stay here again if in the area.

The bed was extremely comfortable and the suite came stocked with tons of books, magazines, and a few board games. We had a delicious breakfast served to us Saturday morning that was hand delivered by the owner Lindsay. Lindsay was incredibly sweet and an amazing host, I would highly recommend staying here

We stayed at Tanglewood Farm Bed & Breakfast in July this year over a long weekend and it has been…read morefun experience! 1) the suite is very cute - rustic but modern & updated with high ceilings, very clean, the kitchen is well stocked with utensils and condiments, the bed super comfortable; 2) Lindsey has been extremely welcoming and helpful, not to mention the delicious breakfast with amazing presentation she cooked and delivered to us on Saturday; 3) the farm is very peaceful and fun - my son was smitten by the chickens. Will definitely plan to stay there again next time I am at Pinehurst.
