Traffic flow and management never seemed to be an issue, as roads and roundabouts are thoughtfully engineered. The soccer fields feature really nice grass and level, good quality playing surfaces. The turf fields were in good shape, and it was brilliant to have my son's games continue despite 2 inches of rain the night before. I can't speak for the restrooms or concessions, but the park itself works great for soccer, and we enjoyed our visit.

I used to feel safe in this park but when the car club is tearing it up they will try and run you over while your crossing on a crosswalk on purpose, they pee out in the open so people can see, they toss their trash in the grass and in the parking lots including glass and just speed through and tear up the entire park and they harass the elderly that use that park to exercise! Stopping here afterwards, I was pleased that the trail goes through the Hudson neighborhood and connects with Tiffany Park along with Copperfield Lane. Plenty of trees and the landscape of homes give a nice view as you cut through the neighborhood. Also the trail is well-kept and covers a good amount of ground. Great for dog walking/jogging. Another great one in Bryan/CC!

The trails are also well-kept although don't be surprised if you find some debris and trash floating around on the grounds and the trail. Seems like it's gotten worse over the past few years. It's a shame as this area provides lovely views during nature walks when the sun is out and the breeze is blowing at a lovely pace. In addition, there is a playground and a softball/baseball diamond tucked here. You'll hear the sounds of bats connecting with balls and kids shouting since baseball games are played here often.

Under sunny skies and amid a festival-like atmosphere, the City of College Station on Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011 officially opened and named its newest attraction: The G. Hysmith Skate Park. The park's namesake is Garrett Hysmith, an energetic College Station boy who, by the time he died in 2005 at age 13, had bravely fought brain cancer for four years. He loved music and Boy Scouts, but was most passionate about skateboarding. Two years after his death, his closest friends embarked on what they would dub Operation Garrett: Convincing the College Station City Council to include a skate park as part of a bond package that would go before voters. In 2008, 65 percent of those voters embraced the idea at the ballot box. Operation Garrett would, indeed, create a proper place for skateboarders -- a $920,000 facility -- to safely practice and perfect their sport.
