They were totally upfront about the lead-time and actually beat the original projected finish date by a week. I have an older Sunsetter Awning and needed the fabric replaced on it. It's approximately 14' x 9'. He asked me several questions about it. I told Steve that I needed replacement fabric installed, and would be happy to get a price on the fabric itself from him, as well as the installation. He told me that it's really not that hard to change myself. He suggested I call Sunsetter and order it... then just get somebody to help me install it. Steve said "I just can't really make any money doing that." Honestly I was a little surprised by the response. I had even asked him about potentially purchasing a new awning in my original voicemail. Steve was polite, but I just got the impression he was not interested. Just a suggestion though... If I was interested in doing it myself, I would not have called. In my own business, if someone calls and it's not something that we can handle, we at least try to refer them to a local company that can help them. Also, small customers that aren't spending as much money initially, often times worked into loyal customers who spend more money down the road.

I have never had a business "ghost" me before like R B. I called on several different occurances during business hours to always get a voicemail. My messages have never been returned. I then went to check out the place to see if maybe I had a wrong number or something and got there about 2:00 on a Thursday afternoon. The worker in the shop next to them told me to look for a truck which was there and that their location was on the end of the building. What I found was unlike anything I've seen before. There was no one there but the door was unlocked. The lights were off and I stuck my head in to see if anyone was in the back area. The place is a huge mess. It looks like it got hit by an earthquake. It's dirty and just felt like chaos. I still left my card on the door and now, 2 weeks later, still have not been contacted. I can only image what it must be like to get your furniture back from this place if they can't even return a phone call. I'm going to find another upholstery shop.
