There were rows and rows of vitamins and supplements as well as a full pantry-stocked grocery! All sorts of trusted organic and gluten-free brands were available for very good prices. They even had a section for pets! There's another small refridgerated and frozen area for eggs, cheese, cheese-replacements and ice cream. While I was aware we're in a pandemic, I wore a mask and kept distance from others around me. (Mind you, the isles are very tight and, I would guess, not ADA compliant. While I was looking for the capsules I needed, the employee brought another customer to look for an item and had the audacity to look at me and say "could you move six feet away? You need to social distance." Even though I was there first, the employee was more interested in attempting to upset to a random customer than someone who had two bottles of pills in their hands. While it's a good store, I'll order online in the future. Let them pay their bills by ignoring one customer over another.

But today is my last trip to FF for the duration of this pandemic unless major changes in health policy are made with the staff. No one wears a mask, no staff practices social distancing, they work in close proximity (inches!) of each other without any protective gear, and they openly wonder about the merits of social distancing. Staff will walk into your personal space when focused on another customer. The store is cramped and so social distancing is difficult to practice with other shoppers. I don't want the staff to get sick. I want a unique local business to survive. But I don't feel safe shopping there, and I also don't want to support a health food store that won't actually engage in proper emergency public health policies! If the price is good for you, then take advantage of their curbside pickup, pay over the phone, call them to say you're outside, but don't go inside. It doesn't feel safe.
