I graduated in 2019, and throughout my time there, both students and teachers displayed extreme racism that the administration continuously ignored or excused. Students on the worship team would call us "monkeys" and tell us to "go back to Africa." When we reported it, the principal's response was, "I don't think they meant it like that." This dismissal became a pattern,every racist act was brushed aside instead of being taken seriously. During my senior year, a teacher, Todd Manske, physically and verbally attacked my friends and me in the school parking lot. We were listening to clean music in our car when he ran up, slammed on the door, and screamed: "Do you think little kids want to hear N-word, N-word, this early in the morning?!" He actually said the full racial slur multiple times, with rage in his face as he hit the car. I was terrified he was going to hurt us. The school did absolutely nothing. This teacher is still employed there today.Another student, Austin Strandlund, repeatedly threatened my sister's life, saying he would lynch her and shoot her if she ever came to his house. Once again,the school did nothing. This same student and another mocked George Floyd's death as if it were a joke. When students of color stood up and told them it was wrong, another student, Mark Ustimchuk, told us to "LEAVE AMERICA." The school ignored it until we exposed the incident on social media and it went viral. Even then, the students only received a light slap on the wrist. Austin also brought a Confederate flag to prom in 2019. When we reported it, the secondary principal excused it by saying, "Well, his parents said it was okay." Yet, in the same breath, the school forced me and another Black student to remove our "Black Excellence" shirts. Austin would also "joke" daily about shooting up the school and said that my sister and I would be the first targets. Despite reporting this, nothing was ever done to protect us.This school is not a Christian school,it is a breeding ground for racism, hate, and trauma. The administration enabled both students and teachers to degrade and threaten students of color without consequence. To this day, I am deeply scarred by how I was treated there, and I am speaking out so no other family has to go through what mine did. Do not bring your kids to this school.

We had just moved to the area and I couldn't find the help to find a better school right away. the middle school principal was hands-down the WORST. I kick my daily for not calling the police on him for what he did (a whole traumatic other story). my daughter was in special education support, but in mainstream classes. The Special education teacher at the time was disgusting - she would call and LAUGH that my child was crying in the corner, and then would shout profanities at the children in her class while I was on the phone with her. She would tell them to "Shut up" and "F-ing go back to their seats... I thankfully found a better fit for her and got her out of there. along with the absolute unbelievable parents that would protest daily in the parking lot, over the school trying to be more inclusive to the LGBTQ community, my child was scarred, traumatized, and fell behind in everything. If your child is neurodivergent, or has any kind of special needs, this school is NOT for you. They will only care about the children that don't need extra help, or care.

I would strongly encourage parents to do thorough research before considering this school…read more In our experience, leadership has created an environment where concerns raised by parents, students, and even staff members are often dismissed rather than addressed. The director frequently shifts blame instead of taking accountability, creating a culture that feels manipulative and unproductive. Staff turnover appears to be very high, which raises serious concerns about internal leadership and overall stability within the school. When it comes to student progress, there seems to be little willingness to evaluate whether the school's teaching methods or support systems are effective. Instead, concerns about a child not advancing academically are quickly attributed to the child's learning disabilities, rather than examining whether the school is providing the proper resources and accommodations needed for success. What is most concerning is the apparent inconsistency in how bullying situations are handled. In situations where certain families appear to have influence within the school community, concerns can be minimized or ignored altogether. In our case, serious concerns involving bullying were dismissed with the message that "nothing really happened," leaving us feeling unheard and unsupported. A school should be a place where students feel safe, supported, and given every opportunity to succeed. Unfortunately, our experience did not reflect those values.
