I was told that they had no way to check if my insurance would be accepted until I came in for their complimentary initial visit. Wait. What?? I've never heard of this before. Feels like a scam already. Get the patient in, convince me I need all sorts of uncovered services to get well, then I'm stuck with a huge bill I can't pay. There are plenty of highly qualified endocrinologists around who, coincidentally accept my insurance and are happy to confirm that during an initial phone call, so I'll be seeking help in that direction. He not only creates a plan for supplements, but also diet, exercise, etc. I have to say that I know a lot about health and nutrition, and Dr. Joe really impressed me with his knowledge. He is extremely pleasant, caring, and also is willing to work with you as far as insurance and budgeting.
