I've been going to Dr Van Wagenen for over 20 years now. Over that time he has performed a total of…read more7 implants for me. Four days ago, I had an appointment with him and had 2 teeth extracted in preparation for 2 additional implants. What can I say... I was not blessed with healthy teeth. As in prior visits, the extractions were painless and surprisingly quick. Today, I was thinking about how nicely the recovery is going and how that has been the case with every recovery from every procedure he has done. Then it occurred to me that I have never left him a review. Of the 7 implants he has performed over 20+ years, they are all still in tact. I've never had a problem with a single one. He is cool and calm during the procedures with occasional humor that had both me and his assistants feeling at ease. Most importantly, the results have been spot on perfect. Simply stated, he is the best! His support team is customer focused, his equipment is state of the art and the office decor is professional. I would recommend him to anyone.

For my procedure I had multiple broken teeth pulled and 2 implants. I had IV sedation and would highly recommend it for anyone who has fear of dental work. I am so impressed with the work he did I would refer anyone to him. Thank you Dr. Wagenen for taking such good care of me!

They sat me in a quiet comfortable room specifically designed for watching the informational film about the procedure. And then into the room. I wasn't made to wait very long after getting the numbing agent. They left me for 15 minutes while it spread and numbed and when I told them I wasn't confident that I was sufficiently numbed they took their time and better numbed me out. The entire time everyone spoke with very soft voices which was very helpful in keeping me calm. I was in tears. An emotional mess over the loss of my tooth and they were incredibly sensitive with me and took their time. I honestly wish I could make this my primary dental office. But I also don't want to have primarily dental surgery haha. So while I will hope to never have to return to this amazing office I will be in search of a primary that makes me feel just as good as they did today. Y'all really set the bar high and I appreciate it.

Horrible customer service and billing !…read more My wife needed to have her wisdom teeth pulled. Their billing department first tried to tell us that our dental insurance was tied to our medical insurance. We told them that isn't true. They told us they had just spoken to our dental insurance. My wife then called our dental insurance and they informed us that wasn't true. My called the billing department back and they told her what our insurance said and they told my wife they didn't believe her. They finally called our dental insurance back and confirmed. Then on the day of surgery when my wife gets there, they inform her the procedure is $685 but that the insurance might not cover it and it might be $16000. My wife asked "Didn't get you a pre-authorization when you spoke to our insurance?" They said no and that they were going to try to bill our medical insurance first and if they didn't pay, then they would try our dental insurance. We told them we were not going to do the procedure with them unless they had a pre-authorization for insurance, they refused. They said it could take days or weeks to get the pre-authorization. We had scheduled this appointment over a month ago. Horrible, lazy and shady business practice on their part. A patient should not be going into to surgery without knowing if their insurance is going to cover the procedure and the total out-of-pocket cost. They should have gotten the pre-authorization weeks ago and if they needed us to do anything on our end, we should have been informed when we made the appointment. Needless to say, my wife walked out and she will not be having her procedure done with them.

I knew they didn't take my insurance, but after my consultation with Dr. Fimbres, I was willing to pay out of pocket to have him perform the work on me. He is honest and actually saved me money. At my "regular" dental office, I was told I needed something would cost me $600 (with insurance). With Dr. Fimbres, he explained to me why that procedure would be inappropriate with my condition and that he was not going to do it on me. At the end, I also ended up paying a few hundred less than what I was quoted because the tooth came right out. He and his staff still could have easily charged me at what I was quoted at, and I wouldn't know the difference, but they didn't. Yes, I recommend him!
