Where do I start? My old dentist no longer was accepting Delta as insurance so after 10 years I had to look for another. I was referred to Dr. Smith by a friend of mine and scheduled my cleaning. I visited the office on 11/4/24 and was immediately asked by the dental assistant if I needed gas/drugs to calm myself or if I was afraid. Ive had many cleanings before and declined the gas. She asked me 3 more times in the 40 min appointment. I was not in any pain or in fear so I was annoyed she kept asking. Then she started talking politics, thankfully our appointment was over. They did xrays in this session and I stated I had one tooth that was giving me discomfort. We rebooked for a filling on 12/9/24. When I arrived on 12/9/24, Dr Smith came in the room, barely said hello, and before the topical numbing cream had time to set he started poking me to numb me. I assumed he didn't have good conversation skills which is fine. He then drilled out an old filling he said needed to be redone. Mind you the pain I originally had and we discussed did not have a filling, so in that moment when they said they were redoing a filling, I assumed he is the professional, he knows best. He drilled the filling out then left the room. Joanie the "PA" as she called herself then says -"Here in our office I do the fillings..are you going to be okay, do you want gas to calm you?" I again declined. Ive had many fillings and am not afraid of the dentist but the fear I felt when I just learned in that moment that the DENTIST doesn't do the fillings the "PA" does? That would of been great to know before booking an appointment, or hey even before drilling out my filling and leaving me no choice but to have this assistant do my filling. She became visibly annoyed because she said I had a "defensive tongue" and she was having trouble filling the back tooth that they decided needed a new filing. Mind you this tooth never bothered me before this appointment. She asked multiple more times if needed gas to calm down, I declined each time. She retrieved a dam to hold my tongue down without telling me and finished quickly. The other assistant did an xray, Dr smith came in, said looks good and left the room. I asked the other assistant if I was done since Joanie wouldn't even acknowledge me and I was. As I was leaving the room, I thanked Joanie and she ignored me, I thanked her a second time and she responded "you're welcome." I knew immediately I was not coming back for any additional work at this office. Unfortunately 2 days later that filling that was redone that was not bothering me before began hurting. On 12/17, I went back to Dr Smith because the pain had gotten worse and he said to give it 3 more weeks and that if it was really bad it would be a rare situation. He looked in my mouth and said everything looked fine. He polished the filling because it felt like maybe it wasn't filed correctly and sent me on my way. The pain did not go away. I could not eat on that side and it continued to get worse. On 12/30 I was in excruciating and went back in yet again to see Dr Smith, and he said I needed a root canal. I asked why that filling was redone when I wasn't experiencing any pain there and he said "hmmm Im not sure, your teeth look worn..Im sorry that happened." But he offered me Norco for pain which yet again I declined. It was obvious at that point I didn't trust anything anymore he had to say. I called my old dentist immediately and he saw me the same day. Low and behold part of the old filling was left on the tooth DR Smiths assistant did and the new filling she did had a crack. My old dentist redid the whole thing and the pain is gone and I had to pay out of pocket for that emergency visit in full. I was not put under nor was I asked multiple times if I needed gas for this. I will be sending the bill for $340 to Dr. Smiths office. I cancelled all future appointments including my 13 year old sons. The ladies at the desk were extremely nice and helpful and I have nothing bad to say about them. read more

I have awful teeth, a terrible jaw and a side order of anxiety. Put all these together and going to the dentist is a marginal nightmare with a giant helping of "doomsday" feeling. That said, I have never had an experience (in either the medical or dental field) as patient, kind and caring as what I experience when I finally have to succumb to dental procedures. I can't state my appreciation enough for someone who treats people like people and sincerely cares about your well being after leaving the office. I was raised to just grit and bear pain and never ask for anything, but with the tremendous jaw, tooth and anxiety trio, I have to request additional help that lends to more work from the dental team and I appreciate so much this team that makes it a safe environment to do so. Due to many negative past experiences, I really hate going to the dentist. After reading a lot of good reviews, I wanted to give this place a try because they have so many options for sedation. My first appointment was spent getting X-rays, going over my dental history, and meeting Dr. Smith. The hygienist took the time to ask me about my anxiety and the options available. Having laughing gas for my cleaning helped tremendously. The hygienist frequently asked me how I was doing and was gentle. Overall this was a very good experience. read more

Years of fear and dental neglect had left my teeth a mess. My husband found Dr. Smith and convinced me to just try. I am so glad that I listened. Dr. Smith has helped me create a plan to get my smile back to pain free and beautiful again. I have done IV sedation a couple of times in his office. Every staff member I have met has been caring and kind, even holding my hand when I cry. Melissa is also amazing at answering my vast amounts of questions and reassuring me that I will not feel a thing. Dr. Smith has invested a lot of time and effort to save my teeth. And when some couldn't be saved, he was so kind and sat with me for quite some time to comfort me and come up with a plan. They are always willing to do as much as safe for my mouth at a time to maximize the money I am spending on the IV sedation. I am having a couple implants placed and they have saved me several thousand dollars after getting a quote from an oral surgeon. I thought I had reviewed this office already. It's time! I had a pretty unpromising experience at another dentist in town and it put me off getting dental care for a bit. I had a great lifelong dental surgery back in the UK who were big on preventative dentistry and avoiding unnecessary treatments, so that's very important to me. Early last year I had a look here on Yelp and came across Rob Smith's office. As you can see he's pretty popular, and everything I read on this Yelp page bore out. The reception staff are very friendly and were quick to get me registered. I signed up around February 2020. I think I waited a couple of weeks for an appointment. Everything is well run at the office. Masks are required, they have air purifiers running, and everything is sanitary. The office space is kind of hub and spokes so the dentist can kind of roam between rooms but there's enough privacy in each treatment room. On my first visits I had an x-ray, exam, and cleaning. Mouth x-rays are never particularly pleasant but they did a great job of making me feel comfortable and getting it right. The dentist came in and checked my x-rays and teeth and let me know about minor areas of concern. He did ask about my wisdom teeth, as dentists here always do, but he wasn't pushy about getting them removed unless I encounter issues. I have some bonding on a front tooth that needs replaced every 5 years or so, and he was happy for me to schedule that whenever I'm ready. He wasn't pushy about any treatments which I trust based on my own knowledge of my history and the x-rays we looked at together. The hygienist was incredibly thorough - I've never had such an intense teeth cleaning. I was a little sensitive after but it was so worthwhile. I've seen two of the hygienists here now and they both did a great job. I'm glad to be on a regular schedule now. My husband registered more recently and is thrilled with the experience so far. He was also really pleased with the cleaning process and they've got him set up with a treatment plan. Highly recommended. read more

You hardly even see this guy when you're at his office....walks in, barely says hello with no expression or welcoming demeanor what's so ever. My old dentist (Dr Johnson) whom unfortunately retired was the friendliest happiest guy ever! Office staff is really nice and I really liked them. Dentist doesn't talk much. Not really personable. In and out. The one thing that surprised me is that his nurse finishes up the fills. He comes in, opens up, then his nurse comes in to finish up. She drills, fills, and reshapes. You don't see him anymore after he opens up. I'm not comfortable with that practice. The nurse isn't a dentist who went to dentistry school. It was a very small cavity. Don't know what went wrong but tooth was sore and couldn't chew on that side for a few months. Lucky for me they are still accepting new patients--although there is a little bit of a wait. I told them to contact me if there was a last minute cancellation and I got in within one week :) The office is pretty centrally located and it's very nice. The customer service is excellent and everyone is tremendously friendly. Rob Smith DDS is efficient and on time--no unnecessary waiting! I had my teeth clean, X-rays, and was inspected by Dr Smith. There was never any up sell, the dental hygienist was very empathetic, and Rob might be the nicest person (and definitely nicest Dentist). I've ever met. He is the only dentist, in my experience who makes himself available after hours and holidays. His cell number is on the answering machine and if you leave him a message, yes he does call back. This office made sure to make me feel confident and content before during and after the procedure. They walked me through every step and took their time with myself as a client, to ease as much fear and hesitation that they could before the actual procedure. I personally chose to go with sedation and it was a breeze. Something I would recommend if you are getting any major work done. They are very careful with sedation as will make sure you know exactly what to expect and prepare for. Take a minute, give them a call, give them a chance they are great people and really want to make you feel as comfortable as possible no matter what the situation is. Best dentist office ever!!! I am so incredibly grateful that i found this place. I've had bad dental/doctor anxiety all of my life and have never had an amazing experience until now. My first appointment with Melissa was fantastic and she explained everything very well and comforted me every second of the way because she had fears of the dentist herself. After coming up with a plan to get all of the work i needed to get done with sedation, my appointment finally came and I was super nervous and crying. The anesthesiologist was great and enlightened the mood due to his sense of humor while also maintaining professionalism and making me feel very comfortable. The nurse even gave me a blanket before i was about to sleep. The game changer for me was being able to have my fiancée in the room. I've never been to a doctors office that allowed outside members to be there while I was about to go under, and being able to hold his hand while everything was going on took SO much ease off of me and allowed it to go smooth. Amazing Dentist!! was going to him every 6 months for 7 years, with the same receptionist and hygienist. They are always kind and polite, send appointment reminder card. He removed my wisdom teeth on a Thursday and gave me his cell number in case I had any issues over the weekend and saw me first thing Monday morning to make sure I was healing correctly. Went above and beyond to make sure I was being taken care of. only problem, he's so well liked you have to book a couple months in advance for a cleaning but they do have a cancellation list and call you with openings read more
