Since school is out for the winter break, you can find garage covered parking or outside parking. Both parking options require a short walk to the performing arts center. When we arrived we were able to take our annual picture inside with the six foot tall nutcrackers, then headed to our seats. I'm pretty sure every seat here offers you a decent view of the stage. This year we sat one row away from the stage. I will say for me and this was our own doing, that was a bit too close and my neck was starting to bother me. The location is beautiful, the seats are comfortable, and the acoustics are great.

UNF and Jax World Affair Council provided this experience free to the public (as long as you sign up in advance). The Fine Art auditorium was very nice where the lecture was held; acoustics were wonderful too. It was a miserable weather night to be out but hundreds of people came out in support of this program! After 5 years at another dance studio, we had to face facts and make a change. Not an easy task…read morewhen you're looking for solid instruction that offers real progress (especially since the trust put in the last school was misplaced). Open house tonight was an eye opener. There's no question that moving to The Florida Ballet was the right decision. The attention to proper form, the patience, the barre work---all stellar! Explanations on what your body should be doing, the mechanics of correct position and posture was illuminating. The instructor was hands on, changing incorrect form as it was happening and giving concise and clear tips on how to fix whatever move they were learning/practicing. Instructor was friendly and very professional. Kind and patient with the girls but never relaxing the high standards she obviously expected. We are thrilled with what we witnessed tonight and are confident this studio can make up for the wasted year or two at the last one. Viva ballet!

Lazzara Performance Hall seats 1300 for shows, has plenty of parking either in the parking garage…read moreadjacent to the hall or the lot across the entrance road. I had the opportunity to see The Nutcracker Ballet here and will now keep a look out for future performances! The seats are spacious, the theater feels more intimate than others in the area. They do have a small concession stand, however food and most beverages must be consumed outside the actual theater. Only bottled water is allowed inside the theater. The Florida Ballet performed the Nutcracker with guest ballerinas from the Boston Ballet- the show was lovely, spectacular and elegant scenes with so many dancers. Even the youngest of the show were amazing and very cute. Compared to other venues in the Jacksonville area- this was one of the better theaters I have gone to a show at. I look forward to returning for more!

The space is perfect to take in a show, as you have a great seat whether you're sitting right up front or in the balcony. The staff is wonderful, they were kind, and showed us to our seats. Parking is also a plus at this theater, as you don't have to pay for parking and the parking garage is pretty close to the theater, which is great. All in all, I'd return to Lazzara to see another show. Pros: -Clean facility -Great seats wherever you sit -Nice bathrooms -Intimate -Helpful staff Cons: -None that I can recall Tips: Arrive early to get a good parking spot.

I went here for a movie. It was great until.... These high…read moreschool kids were being obnoxious from the beginning. He had a laptop open at first. I didn't say anything because I was going to wait until the movie actually started. Then, when it did, he tried to shake a 2L of soda, to do who knows what .... Spray it I'm sure. I made a comment. He stopped for a bit. Later on my girlfriend and I were still being bothered by them. He kept farting on her and turning to her going, "Do you like the smell?" I finally (half way through), spoke up and said something. A tenant followed me in and then didn't say a word to them. We ended up leaving the theater. I DID get a receipt to come back to another show time, which is great. HOWEVER, I tried calling to talk to someone about some other things I witnessed, and I was placed on hold. Then I called back and was hung up on 5 times and placed on hold another. Whoever was working during this shift really didn't give a shit. I get it man, you're working a low paying job, in school, young, but most of us did all that too. Grow a pair and do your job. Mind you the staff was great in the beginning and friendly. But when it came down to it, they weren't answering and hanging up the phone on purpose.
