Really enjoyed my experience here! Especially for the price, I'd say it's pretty worth for not only a three course meal, but also a show. The workers are all super friendly and helpful too. I liked that you get to eat your meal before the show starts, allowing you to just enjoy the venue and chat with your table as you eat. And you don't have to worry about servers being in the way, or dining too loudly. That being said, eating and then having the show after does eat away a big chunk of the evening. As for the food, you're paying more for the experience rather than the best food of your life. There were some things I loved like the bread and butter and the squash casserole. But other things like the salmon was super fishy, or the pork cutlet was kind of dry and tough in the middle. The show was amazing and really funny. The cast performed so well, and I like that the venue is on the smaller side. Definitely makes for a more intimate and interactive experience. read more

As a (nearly) lifelong resident of northeast Florida, I've visited Alhambra Dinner Theatre numerous times. As a matter of fact, I even told my in-laws of my first pregnancy in 1996 at dinner/before a show. I've nothing but fond memories no matter the reason for the visit nor the show that we saw. While my kids were both in elementary school, I chaperoned numerous field trips to the Alhambra, as well! I can remember seeing Winnie the Pooh $ Christopher Robin, in particular, because Pooh Bear was one of my children's favorite character. Most recently, I've visited the theatre with a large group of girlfriends! We had a blast catching up with one another and laughing throughout our meals.... And then throughout the show! I cannot remember a time that I've ever been disappointed with the dinner service, bar service, nor the presentation of the show! The only thing I could possibly complain about is that it typically seems to be ridiculously cold inside! But, lesson learned..... I now take a jacket or sweater with me. They have a bar and nice area to wait before you sit in the theater. There are 4 and 6 chair tables. Highly suggest 4. 6 feels crowded. Everyone is real nice though. Acting was great for 1776. The food was good. Everyone at the table liked what they ordered. The seats are pretty uncomfortable. Do not sit at a table of 6. Table of 4 and on the aisle or open space. Much worth it. I felt kinda chlaustrophobic at the beginning of the show. All of this said. I would totally go back at a more open spot. read more

Show-Jacksonville locals put on a great show. Went to see the show menopause this time. My mother and mother-in-law particularly enjoyed the show. We had a great time and laughed a lot. I've been here several times before and it's a hit every time. Dinner and a show was a lovely celebration of my mother-in-law's girls night out 80th birthday. Photographer-We also had our picture taken together. We purchased a package, and the photographer had keychains and a photo ready to go before we left for the evening. When we finished taking our professional photo (which I bought two,) the photographer wouldn't let me snap a quick photo of my grandson standing in the backdrop to send my grandson's mom. So rude. We wouldn't know about this theatre if it wasn't for my cousin inviting us and im glad he did! The production is great for a small theatre like this. I love how the food can match themes of whatever is showing. The ambiance is dark but since its a show it has to be. There are lights on the table so you can see while youre eating. The servers are so friendly and accommodating. This is a great spot for entertainment to have in Jacksonville. Im from NYC so this hits the spot in craving some kind of elevated entertainment (like broadway etc). The Come From Away production was well done, I enjoyed the enthusiasm and ingenuity of it. This was our first time at Alhambra. We had an awesome time! My husband and I took our son, daughter-in-law and two grandkids to see Shrek. We all loved the show!! It was funny, the singing and dancing were excellent. All of the actors did a great job. We absolutely LOVED the donkey!! :) The food was delicious. Several options, as well as a great kids menu. Our server, Andy, was great. He was such a nice young man with a sense of humor. His service was topnotch and nothing was too much trouble for him. All of the staff in the theater were very nice and accommodating. Parking was more than sufficient. Even with a long line for the ladies restroom, there were enough stalls to get everyone through quickly, and the bathrooms were very clean. We just had a great experience all around! I always enjoy going to the Alhambra to catch a show and dinner. The food is typically pretty good and the stage productions are very entertaining. They open doors at 6:00 pm for dinner and the production typically starts at 7:30, so the service is pretty efficient to get people fed and dishes cleared away prior to the start of the show. They recently updated the interior from red to blue and it is soothing. However, the carpet in my opinion needs to be replaced with hardwoods because it's old and musty looking. Their Black Friday sale is always a plus where they promote their annual 2 for 1 ticket sales. I always take advantage of these sales. read more

I had high hopes for this place after coming off a five day excursion with entertainment. Unfortunately, it fell short in both the quality of the food, and although the entertainers were amazing and talented and had wonderful voices, I feel like the show lacked luster. There were four entertainers and recorded music. The theater has great potential. Tickets are not cheap and does not include gratuity. So if you pay with a credit card in advance, you need to know to bring cash for gratuity as you will be presented with an empty check just for that. I feel that there could've been more props on the stage and that a high school musical has more. Out of the three dishes, the only one I enjoyed was the salmon. The pork steak was on the tough side, and the chicken was very bland with overcooked orzo pasta. there's also a photo opportunity when you walk in for $30, you get a 5 x 7 and two keychains. read more

Bought tickets months prior to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I heard they sell out quickly. It's a cute theatre and I liked how they created cocktails that aligned with the show. You were served a three course meal prior to the show start. My bf and I ordered different items on the menu so we could try each other's. The appetizer Cesar was ok (needed more dressing) and the charcuterie was really small. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs which was pretty good and my bf ordered rack of pork. The pork was a bit dry and overcooked but the sides were tasty. The dessert was probably the best (chocolate roulade especially). Service was amazing. They came around pretty often to refill your drinks or for anything you might need. The show was lively and fun. It's a bit pricey but it's a treat. read more

We saw Joseph and his Amazing Technicolor Coat, it was awesome! We arrived around 12.15pm for the Sunday matinee. I ordered the pasta salad, lamb chops and berry cake. It was delicious. My friends ordered the lasagna and they were satisfied too. Our server was so sweet and she ensured our needs were met for the entire meal time. I didn't know what to expect of the show but it was nothing I could've imagined. It was so good, the singing and different genres of music was hilarious. The acting was good as well as the singing. My husband bought me a gift certificate years ago and after a couple bookings that had to be cancelled we finally went. I was blown away and am mad at myself for waiting so long! Many times when you go to an entertainment venue with food, you end up with rubber chicken or buffet type food but their meals were delicious. I loved my meal but envied every other plate I saw and feel I would have been happy with any of the meals. My favorite place in Jacksonville! The food is phenomenal. You get to choose from four different meals that are each three courses. Generally, you get to choose from the following options for your main meal: vegetarian, fish, chicken or beef/pork. The three courses are either soup or salad, main meal, and dessert. They also provide bread and butter as an appetizer upfront. The wait staff are exceptional. *Inside tip- please be sure to bring some extra cash to leave as a tip for the wait staff, as the tips are not included in the cost of the show.* The staff work hard and deserve a good tip. Also, they have a step-and-repeat area inside the front door, where there is a photographer waiting to take your picture for keepsakes. There is also a bar and piano area if you wanted to get a beverage before the show started. The shows are phenomenal with great actors performing. Sometimes they will feature a celebrity. It's a great place to go on a date, with family, friends, or even just by yourself. Everyone is friendly and helpful and the ticketing office staff are amazing. If you need to make changes to your reservations, they are more than helpful to accommodate. I can't say enough good things about this place, the staff, the food and the shows. We attend dinner show Morning after Grace at Alhambra 5/8/25. It was a great experience, show and service! I got Braised Lamb Shank it was good but very fatty and not much meat. My wife got the Cod and like it very much. The other couple both got Chicken Barbonara and like it as well. The presentation in the bowl however seemed to be more like a soup. Dessert We all got the chocolate moose per recommendation but none of us liked it. Waitress was kind enough to bring double fudge chocolate cake and peach crumb cake which was on the menu, was very good. Should have stuck to the menu. :) Very nice seating arrangements for all to see the show. Look forward to another show. read more

Why did I wait so long to try out the oldest dinner theater in the US, Alhambra? What an awesome experience! I went with some friends from church to see Beauty and the Beast. We were served dinner first. You get to choose an appetizer, two options, main course, four options, and dessert, two options. I went with a wedge salad with tomato, cucumber, cheddar cheese and croutons. The main course was BBQ pork ribeye, with baked beans and potato salad. I had the grey stuff for dessert, which was oreo cookies made into pudding. The salad was good. It stated it came with thousand island dressing, but I was able to get ranch instead. The ribeye was delicious! Nice and juicy with great flavor. I wasn't sure about the potato salad on top of baked beans, but it worked well. They were both yummy! And the grey stuff was good too. I also loved the sweet rolls. Now to the show. All the performers were fabulous! The show was non-stop, high energy from start to finish. I will warn you, the wolves came in from the back of the dining area, and they creeped me out. They had these spooky red eyes. We were seated near the stage and they passed right beside our table. What a lovely night my hubby and I had at the alhambra! Never been before and I live right around the corner. Get you tickets early- shows often sell out. We ended up having to switch shows due to unexpected work travel, but it was easy to change our tickets over the phone. I think the value is spot on for dinner and the show! Drinks are not included, but it's a generous wine pour, or the bottles were reasonable too. For our show the wedding singer I enjoyed a salad, seafood newburg, and wedding cake. The seafood newburg was a bit of a heavy dish, but I was very impressed at how much seafood was in the dish (delicious scallops, shrimp & white fish! Perfectly cooked too!) My husband LOVED his chicken cordon bleu. Our waiter was very polite & attentive & accommodating. The show was fun, funny, and entertaining. Very well cast! Loved all the costume changes. Good acoustics. Easy to see & hear everything. My only complaint is the chairs are pretty uncomfortable. Between dinner & the show we were sitting over 3.5 hours. Also I would have been nice to have water pitchers on the table during the show. Def rec going at least once. I know lots of folls that buy season tix. read more

The food: on most occasions the food has been 5+ stars, this last visit during Beauty and the Beast was not my favorite. The selection was a bit thrown together it seemed. Slightly lackluster. The service was not the best. I will chalk it up to probably an off night, the show started and our tables were still filled with our dishes, not only at our table but every table in the place. I have seen several shows here and that was the first time that had happened. Ambiance: truly the quaintest place to go see some local theater. The biggest problem is something only a major renovation probably could fix, is the table positions. Especially those toward the tip of the "u" shape, closest to the stage. Depending upon the props, you may or may not be able to see the stage at all.get your tickets early and closer to the middle of the stage view. Still one of my favorite places for local flare and a night of dinner and a show, just minor tweaks or upsets from my last experience. read more

Experience overall was a 4.5 Show was a 5 of 5- Legally Blonde. Great performers, super talented. Service was also a 5 of 5, both at the front bar and while dining. Super nice and genuine. Drinks were great, and strong. Espresso Martini was delicious- plain or with cream. Food was good- 4 overall. Steak was more like a pot roast consistency- good, just not what I expected. Asparagus was very good- still some crunch and not overcooked at all. Mashed potatoes and gravy were wonderful- creamy and buttery. Chocolate mousse was good, normal with lots of whipped cream. While I love Banana Cream pie, I didn't love this kind. It was more like a baby food consistency and texture- firm not fluffy. To be fair, from the very beginning the server let us know that if we didn't like something just let him know and he will happily replace it. Will be back!
