His pricing, according to him, was mostly based on the time it would take to get to the job site, the gasoline burned and the wear and tear on his vehicle, having to stop along the way to purchase the necessary materials to do the job, and him deciding that I was an hour away based on my zip code. Actually, I live in Sherman not Tom Bean, about 15 minutes away, based on the location that was given for his business. And, I already had the necessary materials. If only he had actually made some inquiries about the job and my specific location before quoting me such an absurd amount. The one star was given sole on the impression I have of the text message he sent me.

I informed him it was just cut by another person and when asked to trim around a vehicle in the back area of the house he was rude and acted like I asked him to cut another acre. This is why I was looking for a replacement. The owner of Timberjack Steve was the person I had contact with. I had called Steve after he came out, a couple questions and he wanted to come back out again. This was not convenient for us to repeat. It's just mowing grass. So he never came out again or called the owner to reschedule. The home owner called him and after telling her to text him. He never got back to her. When I texted him he tried to tell me the whole we have to come look at it. I told him we already did that. He text me back and told me it wasn't him!! ‍ YES it was!! This guy is real nice but it just doesn't seem like they can get it together enough to take new customers. I finally responded maybe we should look somewhere else because it seems like you don't want the work he basically told me that would be best because he has to many tree jobs. Frank is an exceptional "handyman"! This review is specifically for those who live out of state…read moreand have property around Denison, Sherman, Pottsboro, etc. and for those who are local who are looking for a handyman they can trust with impeccable work ethic! I had purchased a home that I thought was a flipper and thought the remodel "solved" all my issues prior to rental. There were more issues than I had anticipated! Frank did a walkthrough of the home while I was on the phone with him and was able to point out things that needed to be worked on and took pictures for you to see. I have a property manager and they have a "crew" that makes repairs. However, when you are charged for every drive out regardless of repair or not, it can become expensive. The markups from the property managers also add up. I am by no means rich but a middle class American trying to make ends meet. Frank is the same way. Faith, family and country. With that said... Frank is reasonable and won't gouge you when buying parts. His labor per hour is on par with what I would have been charged by my property manager. Since rates are an area that ebbs and flows with gas prices and the economy, I will refrain from posting his hourly fee. What I can tell you is it's under $100 an hour.
