I have a constant reminder 6 years later of Dr. Andrew's "work" every time I look in the mirror at my deformed body. My belly button is almost non existent now, a hump, yes, a huge hump, not a lump, on my right flank after liposuction and a breast reduction that left my nipples too high on my breasts and my left breast shape is botched and different from the right breast. I have been very self conscious and dealt with depression over the way I look. I deeply regret the mistake I made when I chose this Doctor. He was working in Cedar Rapids and this was just before he left to open his own business. I consulted with a very well reviewed surgeon months after this surgery and was advised not to have any more surgery by his hand. Please get a 2nd opinion before seeing this Doctor. He not only botched my surgery which will cause me pain for the rest if my life, but did a extra procedure that was totally not necessary according to a plastic surgeon at Mayo and UI. One of these doctors said it was a shame I didn't get a second opinion. Had I, any good plastic surgeon would have advised against it!! I get accidents happen during surgery and that's a risk we all take, but when a Doctor severs a main nerve in your body and doesn't admit it and get you help shame on him!! If a surgeon is working that close to nerves and doesn't recognize the fact he has damaged one should he be performing the surgery in the first place? Or maybe he just didn't want to admit it. Having cancer is bad enough, but then to have permanent nerve damage for the rest of your life because this Dr messed up?? Be VERY careful.
