Dr. Andrews and his team care deeply for their patients. I went to Dr. Andrews for a medically necessary procedure and everyone was extraordinarily patient, helpful and kind. From Kelly's help navigating insurance to Emma and Stormy making me laugh through "awkward" appointment moments, Alexa's willingness to answer my never ending questions and all the support from the lovely ladies at the ReCenter, it has been a wonderful experience. It's clear the care comes from the top down. Dr. Andrews checked on me several times between appointments, including a call the night after my surgery. I could not be more grateful. Now, nearly 9 months since my operation, I can confidently say the results are even better than I had hoped! read more

I went to Dr. Andrews for a breast lift, but he insisted I needed implants. After surgery, I experienced delayed wound healing and ongoing pain. When I brought up my concerns, he dismissed them, making me feel unheard and frustrated. After a year of struggling, I sought a second opinion. The new surgeon discovered an external suture inside my breast, which explained why my incision kept reopening. I ultimately had the implants removed. If you're considering Dr. Andrews, think twice--my experience was incredibly disappointing. read more

I have a constant reminder 6 years later of Dr. Andrew's "work" every time I look in the mirror at my deformed body. My belly button is almost non existent now, a hump, yes, a huge hump, not a lump, on my right flank after liposuction and a breast reduction that left my nipples too high on my breasts and my left breast shape is botched and different from the right breast. I have been very self conscious and dealt with depression over the way I look. I deeply regret the mistake I made when I chose this Doctor. He was working in Cedar Rapids and this was just before he left to open his own business. I consulted with a very well reviewed surgeon months after this surgery and was advised not to have any more surgery by his hand. This was a very costly mistake that I had saved for as a 50th birthday gift to myself. I now live with the consequences for the rest of my life and will forever remember Dr. Andrews when I see my botched body in the mirror. read more

Please get a 2nd opinion before seeing this Doctor. He not only botched my surgery which will cause me pain for the rest if my life, but did a extra procedure that was totally not necessary according to a plastic surgeon at Mayo and UI. One of these doctors said it was a shame I didn't get a second opinion. Had I, any good plastic surgeon would have advised against it!! I get accidents happen during surgery and that's a risk we all take, but when a Doctor severs a main nerve in your body and doesn't admit it and get you help shame on him!! If a surgeon is working that close to nerves and doesn't recognize the fact he has damaged one should he be performing the surgery in the first place? Or maybe he just didn't want to admit it. Having cancer is bad enough, but then to have permanent nerve damage for the rest of your life because this Dr messed up?? Be VERY careful. Please go to UI or Mayo if you need a plastic surgeon!! read more
