did an absolutely horrible job setting up my SG. I had a issue with notes not sustaining and dying out in the high frets and they didn't fix that issue at all. I mean even my strat which has a bolt on neck still has more sustain than my SG which they were supposed to have fixed. read more

If percussion is your thing they seem to have it covered, Acoustic pianos they have a connected store just for that and a big selection of keyboards, synths, and other electronic devices. First and foremost anyplace that gives the customer service I got deserves the stars, especially if not on commission sales as I took 30 minutes with them on the parts alone and they still helped other customers at the same time. Needed Accoustic strings some replacement parts, gave me a better price than I can get on the net this is for my sons beginner basic guitar from a tag sale. The guy at the counter dropped his jaw when he saw it turns out it's a budget line that was put out in the 70's from Martin that's now a collectible. Gave me a rough estimate of value & told me if ever wanted to sell it he wanted Dibs(lol) didn't try and push me to buy other items not needed, suggested that a set of strings on clearance was better deal than the others. They were saved me about $6.00 and better quality just discontinued stock. I needed a Trombone mouthpiece for an old one I pulled out of the closet from high school 40+ years ago, rather than $60 online or $49.95 in store he had a display one that needed to be polished ?20 out the door. Just picked up a 1920's trumpet on auction needs a mouthpiece, also bought another used cornet needs a little work but I'm just getting back into playing after a LONG hiatus. They have sheet music specific to the instruments, if I need one they don't have (bittersweet symphony) they can download and print what I need already arranged for less than I can. I found an upright school piano on craigslist asked them if it was worth purchasing learned it was one they had sold years ago said if it was still in tune go for it otherwise save my $$$ as it would cost a fortune to tune or if a string broke they were nonstandard & would be next to impossible without changing a ton of stuff. Yet they didn't push to sell me one or an electronic keyboard my Son was looking at. NO PRESSURE SALES unlike some other places. It's called excellent customer service, a very rare thing in Myrtle Beach and Worldwide. If I was playing professionally I wouldn't think twice about dealing with them. As someone just getting back to playing & needing everything was treated like I had spent a million dollars with them. Even suggested a better fingering technique than I was being taught on guitar, since I have arthritis in my hands and wrists super important tip. Now if all the brass instruments come back to me I'll buy the city licenses an play on the boardwalk this Summer. Get it off my bucket list. read more

I just went to the store for guitar lessons. First my lesson began late and I didn't learn anything. I must admit I'm not totally a beginner but damn can I leave today with more musical knowledge I came in here with. The old guys behind the desk told me I'm not supposed to learn anything my first lesson and that's the time to get to know me. $35 per half hour let's skip the introductions and get down to business. read more

Horrible customer service, went in to buy a new or used piano for my son. He was no help at all. I asked if he could help me, he said well some are newer and some are older. He would not even get out of his chair. Oh well guess I will spend my money elsewhere, so that's what I done, I would have purchased it there if he would have even tried to be a little helpful. His excuse for why one of his products doesn't work properly is the customer doesn't know what the hell he's doing. Check their return policy. Once they get your money it's over for you. You're not getting it back. You may get a credit if you're lucky and then charged a restocking fee. Find another store or shop online. read more

Phenomenal Music Store in an era of the "Internet Rules" Store is spacious and everything is well organized. The staff for the most part are long time employees and are knowledgeable which says a lot about a mom and pop retail business. They match and sometimes beat Internet prices. The after sale service is worth paying the tax. BTW we bought a Yamaha Baby Grand from Andy and could not be happier read more

Staff was friendly, and the selection was good. I am a left handed guitar player and they had at least 4-5 of each class (Acoustic, Electric, Bass) to chose and play from. Most stores have 1-2. They had a descent sized selection of sheet music and Hal Leonard books that I was pleased to go through. I would recommend checking them out if you are in the Broadway at the Beach area. read more

Wants to be Guitar Center, but without the fun or good prices. Management was cool, but the sales guys were aloof to me, but I saw one sales guy being friendly to a guy at the counter. Maybe I hit them on an off day, but they had ZERO used guitars in a huge mall storefront. They also didn't have any sales to speak of and most guitars were up there near MSRP and higher prices than my local new stores. This shop could be great, but they also put the expensive guitars 20 feet up and behind the counter. Which is cool and all, but with nobody to help show you one, how will I ever be enticed into the purchase? It was my birthday and I was in the market too. Seemed cold to me. So, I went and rented, yes, rented a guitar from Guitarzan which was awesome - and I liked it so much, I decided to buy it! Sorry wannabe Guitar Center, I wanted to buy from you, but you didn't want me to from what I could tell. read more

Nothing special here. Unfortunately, it was the only music store around. I was here while on vacation. Some of guitars were more expensive than I've seen at other stores and online. There was a Taylor Big Baby that retails just about everywhere for $419, but here it was $449. That's just ridiculous. Go in, try out some stuff, then go buy it somewhere else. read more

Worst music store ever! I am visiting from New York and as an avid music store shopper, I have never felt so unwelcome while shoppig for guitars. I walked around the store for 10 munites without any acknowledgement from the four employees that were working the empty sales floor. As I walked around the store, I was not at all impressed by the limited selection of guitars and gear which was more suited for beginners rather than intermediate to experienced players. Not to mention the fact that this is a MUSIC store and there was no music playing at all in the store. After finding a guitar that interested me, I asked one of the employees for a cable to try it out. The employee did not give me a choice of which amplifier I would like to try it through and seemed unenthusiastic and disinterested in making a sale. I played the guitar at a low volume for about two minutes when another employee who was helping an older customer interrupted my playing and told me to stop playing for a bit while he worked on his sale. Shocked that an employee would treat me like I was less important than another customer, I put the guitar down and walked out. I can't believe that with the big competition of music stores out there that this store can't train its employees to help customers while others are trying out their merchandise. All music stores that I have been to encourage their customers to try their instruments and not once have I ever been told to stop playing. I guess this store cares more about quick sales than customer satisfaction. This is why people buy everything online. I would rather take my business elsewhere. read more
