I love that Andy's found a way to re-open after all this time. On one side there is apparel, Knick-knacks, kids toys, postcards, etc. On the other side they serve coffee and pastries. There is such a nice view of the bay. I frequent the light house and this is exactly what has been missing. read more

I stopped in here the other day to see what products they had since I had never been inside. They had a lot of Knick knacks and ornaments and souvenirs. I was expecting it to be more of a vintage store so was disappointed in their products. It is probably a good store if you want Knick knacks that are modern though. read more

Well I was very excited to come to the end of the island in order to see the lighthouse and I came across this nice little gift shop that had souvenirs of the island. I was able to see all the different kinds of postcards they had. Of course they had the photo style postcard but they also had some pretty little drawings/painting/sketches of the island and the lighthouse. Beautiful little images. I definitely like sending postcards so this is right up my alley. The wonderful shopkeeper let me know that the lighthouse was under construction for another month. So I look forward to coming back. In the meantime they had sweatshirts and T-shirts and I'll sorts of things for sale here. It's a pretty big store and it was nice to look around at everything. I also picked up some cold drinks here. read more

If you're an LBI old-timer like me (50+), you probably already appreciate Andy's for what it truly is: a local icon steeped in LBI lore and wonderful memories. It's been around longer than I have, and that's saying something. If you're looking for some kind of bougie poser "curated" island experience with culinary snobbery, then just keep walking; there are plenty of those popping up around the island every season. BUT, if you want a good cuppa, a fresh pastry, some friendly company and good service with simple, well-cooked fare - with unbeatable views of the bay/inlet/Old Barney, then Andy's is your only choice. Went here with my family as part of our long beach vacation on Sunday June 9th 2024. This store is conveniently located near the Barnegat Lighthouse, since we were coming from there, we browsed here. We came sort of late, and the store was closing in 10 minutes. Stores around here seem to close early for some reason. It is a nice big shop with lots of souvenirs and t-shirts and many other things. My dad brought a bottle opener here. We then went shopping at other places such as schooner's wharf, on the other end, where we did find more souvenirs. read more

We have been going to Barnegat Light for over 40 yrs. renters at that time now own. We always went to Andy's to browse and get a hermit crab to bring home. It was so much fun for my kids and I always the tourist had to get a t shirt or something. I still have a navy blue sweatshirt thats probably 35 yrs old like new with a little light house on front that I cherish. At that time you could go in the back and get like a hot dog or something it was so much fun for us and the kids., My grandkids are not 6 and 9 and of course we got the picture in front of Andy's, they come down every year and visit their moms haunts and now they can experience Andys at its best. Please dont judge the building as being old (where are you from anyway) not everything has to be new. I cant wait to go down in a few days to get my Andy's shirt and send one to my son (now 43) . Some fishing tackle, half empty refrigerators, loose shells, tchotchkes. Nothing wrong just a dated business with some nostalgia for some.

The people in the store were so personable! They took time to talk with me, and I felt like I was the most important visitor to come through that day. I kept finding one more thing to buy... They had to ring me out 4 times, and seemed excited to help me every time I found something! I will be back next ttimttime I'm atat the beach read more

Carries Barnegat Light souvenirs, bait and tackle. Some t-shirts and gift items. While slightly overpriced, good for the bait and tackle you forgot before you went fishing in the state park next door. The souvenirs are run of the mill. None of the shells are local. Good stuff for kids. The back room has t-shirts and sweatshirts of the lighthouse, Barnegat Light, and LBI. Also carries cold drinks. read more

I have been coming here my entire life. When my parents would take me to the lighthouse as a child, we always stopped at Andy's so that I could get a shell to remember the experience. Now that I have daughters of my own, we have been keeping up with this tradition. Today we went into the store with our 3 year old and our 1 year old. My girls were so excited to pick out a shell. The baby dropped a shell that cost $.39. If it broke, we would have paid for it. The cashier snapped at my kids telling them to be careful right after my husband said, "Be careful girls." I understand that kids can be such a pain and can break things, but all my kids wanted were two $.39 shells. They were well behaved and so excited. I'm sure that things break all of the time because accidents happen. My husband was so annoyed, that he just grabbed the kids and left. I know that our less than $1 purchase won't make or break your business but we won't be back. Teach your employees not to be cruel to toddlers. They are people too. They were not running around or being loud. Just one little shell dropped one foot to the floor and was picked up. read more

I have been going to LBI for years and definitely disagree that Andy's is "overpriced." They do have a lot of "made in China" souvenirs but it's still a "must-stop" when you go to the lighthouse! For those of us who aren't millionaires and can't afford some of those pretentious (and truly overpriced) LBI art shops, Andy's is just fine. read more
