We brought our vehicle to a Buick dealership in Florida. After they performed a dye diagnostic check of the system, they said the front and auxiliary evaporator cores were leaking and needed to be replaced and quoted $5266 for the repairs. The estimate seemed excessive so we decided to get a second opinion. Brought our vehicle to Grinnell Motors. Had the same dye diagnostic check done. The technician at Grinnell Motors said only the rear evaporator core was leaking and needed to be replaced; the front evaporator core was fine and not leaking.
