i called Rick's after the towing service my roadside assistance contacted failed us by dropping us off their service list from the day before (when a tow ban prevented them from completing our winch out). They picked me up in 15 minutes, diligently worked to get my car out of the ditch off I-80, and had us back on the road in no time. They clearly communicated at every step of the way, made us feel safe and taken care of, and the price they charged was very reasonable. Additionally, they are compliant with IA DOT regulations and carry liability insurance, which can't be assumed with all towing companies. Definitely recommend Rick's! read more

Rick - amazing! His staff- terrible. Zero communication. I have had to call three times over three days to get information about a tow however minimal if any information was given, there was no interest in my call or the purpose and when they found out another wrecker picked up the vehicle there still was no call or communication however they had no problem charging my credit card for their time. I heard only great things about them hence the reason they were my first call.​ I recommend that they provide the service before you give them any payment information. Driving from Boston to Denver, we stopped for gas and noticed the wheels on our Uhaul RV rental were tilting inward on both sides. I dropped down to the ground to see what it looked like underneath the trailer and sure enough, the axel was in a v shape hovering inches about the ground. We headed to ricks towing shop where he also rents uhaul trailers and within less than 30 minutes Rick had us setup with a brand new uhaul trailer at no additional cost. After transferring all contents of the broken trailer into the new one, we were out of there in little time. Rick saved our day. read more
