My husband went to pick us up some custard tonight at Andy's. We live approximately 8 minutes away. When he returned, we had received liquids. I get that Texas can be warm, but it's November and we have gotten frozen treats from other restaurants many times before that are even farther away with no issue. After 30 minutes of attempting to freeze, it's still a soupy mess. My husband was trying to give them the benefit of the doubt and thought they may firm up once he put them in the freezer as he noted how melted they were to start. My first time there so I was expecting it to be great. It was not. The ice cream was soft like a thick soup. I think they were expecting a crowd and made it up before I got there. Came here for the first time with my family. We ordered the S'mores, Cream Soda Freeze, Snowmonster, and the Strawberry Oreo shake. The Strawberry Oreo shake, S'mores, and the Snowmonster were all pretty delicious. The Cream Soda Freeze tasted like vanilla milkshake with a hint of cream soda, nothing special about it. Overall, the flavors were typical delicious desserts, but it is pretty pricey and the portions aren't that big. I was a little disappointed that each of our desserts that were the same size, did not have the same portions. The s'mores were about an inch less the top of the cup (see picture). Felt a little ripped off lol. The staff are fast and friendly. The parking lot is a little small and the setup is a little bit confusing and can be congested if it's busy . There is a drive thru as well for convenience. A small hole in the wall with lots of long benches outside to side on, no tables. The menu is huge and visible, but located a few feet from the cashier on the outside. So on a busy day, I would think it'd be a little inconvenient if you're ordering more than 2 items that have specific names because the menu isn't right in your face if you're at the cashiers. Andy's is such a great place. Unfortunately, my recent visit was disappointing. My family ordered three of the same hot fudge Sundays with pecans, extra cherries. Two came out perfect, one was short, smaller than the others and the extra cherries were missed. I notified the server of the missing cherries and she quickly apologized and went back to get more. When I compared the Sundays, it was obviously less custard. When the server returned I mentioned the quantity difference and she informed me it was 1.5 scoops. I didn't argue, told her thank you and rolled off. After looking again at the three Sundays, I was extremely disappointed. Better luck next time. read more

absolutely love andy's :) the frozen custard is incredibly good-- if you haven't tried it, it's essentially like soft serve with a bit more substance to it, with plenty of options for mix-ins and/or fudge and/or different formats like floats to enjoy it in! my absolute favorite is the stolen brownie sundae, the warm chewy brownie ties the (optional) pecans and frozen custard together excellently. i typically don't go for ice cream desserts because they're a bit too sweet for me, but this frozen custard has the perfect balance of a delicate sweetness with the toppings making it solidly one of my favorite deserts of all time. one thing i really appreciate is the amount of momentum the stolen brownie sundae in particular has. i don't find myself getting tired of the flavors as im eating as the fudge-y bites, brownie bites, custard-y bites, and nutty bites are all present in layers. really a stand-out combination IMO! this drive-in aspect of it is very fun, with seats outside the window where you can enjoy your custard outdoors while playing cornhole. also the staff at the window are really nice & get your custard out fast! i have so many memories here, meeting new people, going on dates, and even running into professors chilling outside. overall: 10/10 taste: 10/10 value: 9.5/10 (touch pricier than ice cream, but i think it's quite worth for a treat!) read more

Andy's is finally in College Station!!! The lines are insane right now at peak times (especially after 8pm) because this location just opened. I went during the afternoon so it wasn't crowded and the drive thru line was super quick. I ordered a small Snowmonster Concrete that comes with vanilla custard, strawberries, and chocolate chip pieces. This is my go-to order at any Andy's and it was delicious per usual - it's not TOO sweet like some of the other flavors. YUM! GIMME MORE PLEASE! Frozen custard is officially my new favorite thing for dessert. This place has the makings of an old 1960s walk-up joint and drive-thru akin to Sonic. The only thing is, it is WAY better than Sonic if you're looking for dessert. I got the Triple Chocolate medium concrete and that thing was absolutely perfect. I'm a huge fan of chocolate so this was like an explosion of delicious flavors, especially with that cookie dough. Nice touch, Andy. My wife got the Turtle sundae which she loved. I had a bite of it and can concur that is a great choice. Next time I want to come with my kids and get the 6 half-pint cups for $16.49 and just try a bunch of different ones, and that's all we'd get. It should be plenty. BEWARE!!! SCAM ALERT!!! This business is working hand-in-hand with BDS Towing to rip people off! BDS has someone literally sitting in the parking lot, watching and waiting like a vulture just so they can call a tow truck the second you step away. Yes, there are signs, but guess what? If you park here and get towed, you're looking at a ridiculous $320 fee! And it's not just this lot--BDS has signs up at Wild Pita, Chipotle, and Starbucks too. They are running a straight-up predatory operation, preying on people just trying to grab food. This is disgusting, unethical, and a total scam. UPDATE: The towing at this facility is handled by BDS. Andy's is not responsible for the towing companies actions. That being said after getting towed I reached out to Andy's customer service. They were very helpful and advised on how to handle the situation. The towing company on the other hand deserves negative stars. I was unable to speak to any manager at BDS Towing about the incident even after calling 5 times. If BDS tows you within 20min of parking, file with the County a tow hearing. I got all my money back. Andy's cost my husband $350 (on a SUNDAY at 3pm) by getting his truck towed for not even 10minutes of eating outside. We will never eat here and I'm telling my family, friends, coworkers, and all my contacts in the BCS community. Literally the WORST customer service in history. Just some custard pushing BORED manager trying to get a power trip off of calling a towing company on community members and CUSTOMERS. They have great ice cream and service. I highly suggest getting their Jame Brownie Funky Jackhammer (what a name!) with strawberries added. It is vanilla ice cream with brownies and hot fudge in it. They 'jackhammer' the middle and put in hot fudge in the middle and the combination of the savory cold ice cream with the sweet brownie bits and warm fudge makes for a great combination. I suggest having strawberries added as well because they add something a little different to the flavor (strawberries and hot fudge go together well). My only qualm is their red seats outside are painted in a rubber based paint. So, if you are wear light colored pants don't sit down on them unless you want your pants to get red on the underside!! read more

I went on a Tuesday early afternoon and no one was there - it was as if it was abandoned, with lights on, music playing, but I saw no one. I drove by around 11:30am because I was thinking of trying it, but didn't see anyone inside so I figured it was closed. After my errands I drove back, and again I saw no one. I figured maybe they went to the back really quick, so I parked and got out. I went up to the window and like I said, appeared abandoned. I didn't seee anything but the lights where on and everything. I googled it and they were open, so I looked at the menu and decided what I wanted. Still no one. So I googled again to find the phone number and called, and a woman answered so I asked if they were open, she said yes. I said okay thank you and hung up. I waited a bit more, then figured they just were in the back waiting for customers to come. I worked in food service for three years of my life. It's a hard job. I respect everyone in food service because it's a very respectable and necessary job. I always assume the best of a server or food worker who maybe is having a bad day, is slammed with busy orders, or who is just trying their best, because it's no secret that there's a lot of people that take advantage of people in customer service or food and disrespect them in order to get what they want. But you simply can't leave your station like that. It was my first time hearing of Andy's and I wanted to try it, and no one was there. I got in my car and figured maybe if I drove through the drive through then they'd notice or get notified a car when in the window. As soon as I pulled up, two women very quickly came out of the back and served me. The service itself was wonderful, and the woman who took my order was very kind and made sure I was not overcharged. Andy's displays that they have an App, but the last couple of times I've went to use it, the cashier informs me that she can't add it to the order once I've placed my order, even after me telling her that I have the app that I'm about to pull it up! If that's true, then why doesn't the sales associate ask if your using the app before asking for your order. Be careful while parking at Andy's. They are using BDs towing so do not go for a walk prior to getting Andy's or you will get towed ( even if there are only 2 cars in the lot). Also BDs does not follow Texas law. Texas law states that if car has not left parking lot they are required to give you back the car if you pay the drop fee. The one star is cause the custard was ok! Let's start with I walked up to order and saw two people inside one being an employee and the other one was a service tech from Gaas refrigeration. The open sign was off but the hours on the window said they should be open! After what felt like 20 mins a male employee said someone will be with you in a minute!!! No sorry, no I apologize for the wait, just nothing! I was the only one standing on 110 heat waiting for what I was told was best custard in the BCS finally after another 10mins another employee who wasn't very friendly or helpful said I'll be right with you and walked off. This point I was ready to walk away until my husband said hold on........another what felt like 20mins he finally comes back and takes my order and all within 3 mins I had my custard and can I say it wasn't worth the wait by any means I could of received better custard and customer service at Freddy's!
