There is no lifeguard on duty but there is always some one from the department patrolling for other violations. Talking about violations. NO alcohol/bottles, No animals. Plenty of parking. The sand, grass area, water is clean and well maintained. It does get dirty during peak hours but they do come clean few times a day. This pond is isolated from other water bodies around it. Keeps it little cleaner. Makes it good for scuba diving and there is some fishing as well. The have amazing trail system in the park for cycling and hiking. There is a trail around this pond. If you hike to the back of the pond, there is some water access (private beach). Or a spot to take your girl friend. There are two sand volleyball courts with net. One shed which can be reserved. This park is ideal because it's away from the crowded beaches around the area. Only thing, there could have been more trees in the lawn area for shade and tie your hammock.

I think i did eventually maybe end up passing a lot while exploring the trail, but I ended up just parking near the circle, which felt weird and had me anxious the neighbors would call and get my car towed. Other than that it's just getting out of winter so there's not much growth to see, but it's nice to get out even with the mud. Hopefully someone else's GPS will route them somewhere, or they just won't have the anxiety I did parking and driving through a neighborhood with kids playing around feeling like a creep LOL!

I never really found any clear maps posted to and I wasn't given any maps to know what is around here or where 'd like to go. I didn't really see anything posted from the playground. I thought we could get to the water but we couldn't really figure it out. construction is being done on the wave. There's this. There's nobody here like no other kids on the playground. There were a couple bike riders and somebody walking their dog. But I would not drive 30 minutes here and pay $10 again. I would just go to our local playground instead. I want it mention it has a lot of potential. It has a place for food and they eventually plan on opening the wave and if they posted some maps for people to look at or maybe hand out some brochures or an interactive website... that might help improve things. Also, I don't need to go swimming but I would like to be able to get to the shore from the playground and I think I can. I just don't know the way.

My family and I absolutely love Bishop Park! It's an amazing park all on its own, with a huge play…read moreescape for the kids and spacious gazebos that are perfect for gatherings. One of the best parts? It's located right by the water, so even on hot days there's always a nice breeze to keep things cool. Plus, it's just steps away from the library--super convenient! This past weekend, we attended the Bash at Bishop, which they host every year, and we had an absolute blast. It was the perfect way to kick off summer with bouncy houses, face painting, balloon animals, fun games, hot dogs, snow cones, and cotton candy galore! My little ones were especially excited to check out the fire truck, ambulance, and police car and even a race car! They couldn't stop smiling. There were also prize giveaways, live music, and a band playing to bring the whole community together. And the best part? It's all FREE. Just an incredible event at a park that already checks all the boxes for our family. Even without the event, Bishop Park is a gem we visit regularly. Can't recommend it enough for families looking for a fun, clean, and scenic place to spend the day.
