My Daughter and I went here for pedicures a few years back and we were not happy with services we received. We decided to try again and it was just as bad as before. We had to wait and were barely acknowledged. When we finally got in chairs there was no discussions about our services or anything. They did not show us any books or ask any questions. ZERO stars = Do NOT go to Angel Nails and Spa! I waited over 40 minutes after my appointment time. Unacceptable! The nail technician (from Texas) cut my toe. It wouldn't stop bleeding after she applied antiseptic at least 3 times. Therefore, she put powder on my cuticle to stop the bleeding. After she completed my pedicure, she started my manicure. Well! She cut my finger too! In addition, a young child of one of the employees ran around swatting at flies. This was not a relaxing environment. I was traveling the next day and I do not live in Grand Forks. I sent a message through the website, but didn't receive a response. Therefore, I called. The woman on the phone argued with me telling me that I needed to go in for her to see my toe. I offered to send her a photo since the area under my toe is completely black. I told the lady (owner) that I couldn't return and I had my nail technician in FL remove the RED polish. The owner (who answers the phone) was nasty and continued to state that I was lying. I let her know that I would be writing a negative review due to the unprofessional behavior during our phone call. As stated, I do not live in Grand Forks. We had an appt at another nail salon and we ran late and they wouldn't take us for another hour so we called Angel and they were able to take us at 515. Just walking in this salon compared to the other was so much better. Huge open space with 16 chairs and middle manicure stations. The chairs are so comfortable and have multiple settings so you can get a nice massage while sitting and getting your toes done. Me and my 2 girlfriends picked the spa pedicure for $30 and although I thought it was a bit pricey it did come with cutting and shaping nails, trimming cuticle, callous removal, sea salt rub and massage and warm towel wrap. They did a great job taking care of our feet and the polish job came out awesome as well. We will have to come back to get our nails done tomorrow while we are still visiting. Much better customer service than the other salon and we are glad we ventured over here. read more

Then when the lady finally started on me she was aggressive and hitting my fingers with the grinder. There was not care. This place would destroy my nails. I made an appointment to get a full set. They were friendly, offered me water and I took my seat. The guy was nice and we had good conversation but the outcome I am not pleased with. They took many calls during services which was odd to me. It was a little dim in the nail spa so once my nails were finished I went home and had a better chance to look at them. My cuticles were not cleaned up, the French tips were way too far back and made my fingers look odd, I asked for oval/square shape and got boxed nails. It's only been one day and I will need a fill next week. I'm super disappointed and I didn't call to complain because I had told them how happy I was to finally be getting my nails back on. So I went to Tina's Nails and they fixed them for me for nearly nothing and they are even helping me with the fill next week. Now I'm feeling more optimistic about having my nails on again, because the shape is so much better and I felt they listened to me. read more

The long wait didn't bother me but being heavily pregnant and forced to walk in a puddle of water from the chairs flooding the floor, did. Being rushed, did. My gel nail polish that typically lasts for weeks, but this pedicure only lasted a few days, did bother me as well. While I was there, a poor girl who had an appointment and had waited over an hour past her appt time, asked when she was going to be seen and the tech just yelled at her. So far me and my family have gone here three times, out of the three, two times we've gone has been terrible. When I first went I was treated with terrible attitude and not one ounce of patience. I felt very uncomfortable the whole time as she was not being gentle with my hands at all, I got yelled at for being "slow" and I couldn't understand at all what she was trying to say half the time. The most recent time one of my family members went was not that long ago, they asked for purple clear glitter jelly nails but ended up with not even anything remotely similar, they got yellow glitter nails that were not even the jelly nails, it was literally just sparkly yellow nails and not purple. Ok so I wanna start off by saying this is the worst place to get a pedi from the start it was a shit show I got the volcano pedi and she rushed through the whole thing and never once massage my feet it was like she was barley rubbing lotion on my legs and that was it... when it came to the paraffin wax some Spilled on the floor and she didn't bother to put more in the bag so my foot wasn't even covered and then while she is rubbing my leg keeps reaching down trying to get the wax off the floor while using the same gloves and then touched me like come on that's nasty asf the best part was when she was done painting my toes she took the toe separator that she used on me and put it back in the drawer like ok I think this place needs to be closed down or she needs her license taken that is so unsanitary and can cause the spread of infectious diseases read more

I got a longer nail with ombré design and 3 days later at work my nail broke from hitting the counter once. they don't put the thick clear layer that strengthens the nails and makes them last. my husband spent $95 for that bs. I go back after having a argumentative phone call with the lady at the desk to let them make it right and they wanted to charge me another $65 for French tips. this was my first and last experience here. I normally don't write reviews but considering my experience and the customer service they provide- I have no choice. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Do not recommend going here!!!! My appointment for my dip nails took 2 hours long as a few nails were initially messed up and had to be redone. The final design was pretty but did not match my other nails as I had initially asked for(which was frustrating considering the final price). I will still charged full price after having to wait that long, have them messed up, and not turn out the way I asked/wanted. I called to go in and get them fixed as I will be leaving town for the next week or suggested a partial refund so that I can get them fixed elsewhere and she was very rude about it. Started out with them cutting my nails really short and not asking how long I wanted them before hand. Then I was never asked what shape I was wanted and was given square. I gave her a color on a preview stick that was black, she tried to put red on my nails instead. For my accent nail, she gave me a different silver than I previously picked out. I also told her I wanted the black nails matte, which instead got a glossy top coat. I have been going to angel nails for years until the last time I went! 8/17/18. They rushed through my entire appointment, making it very disappointing. They cut my fingers in several spots while putting on my acrylics. Then they burnt my toes with the gel drier, which left a blister and a scar. I am completely disgusted and disappointed. i've been going to angels for years now and i really only trust tom, aiden, or cindy with my nails. i went and got a pedicure the other day and an older lady did it. it was the same older lady who horribly messed up my nails about a month or 2 ago. she was very harsh and i could have polished my toes better. there's also cuts on the bottoms of my feet now. if you get an older lady, ask for someone else. i rated 4 stars because angels is the only place i like to go but this experience was bad. read more

Went here for the pafferin pedicure and the temperature of the mixture burnt my foot, to the point where it was swollen and blistering. They still made me pay the $50! I was here visiting friends and don't live in Grand forks and the owner told me to bring my doctors bill to him and his insurance would pay, I live 4 hours away, not gonna happen. If I could give this zero stars I would. Worst experience I've had. I wanted to get up and walk out mid service. Staff were very moody treating me as if I shouldn't have even walked in. The mood was very tense with staff. They cut my toes while taking gel off plus pushed my chair seat up without saying a word/rushed and did a horrible job. There were only about 5 other customers in there. He had a scowl on his face the whole time. He was pushing my one toe out of the way several times in a row which was very very awkward and uncomfortable. I wish I could explain more but it's hard to describe the absolute tense environment. I had anxiety when I left. I should have been paid to enter their doors. Would never ever recommend. They hate customers which they pay their bills on. It's very obvious they dislike their work. I had been here a few times before and felt this in the air but never again. Then to top it off I wasnt even to my car and the two guys were outside practically shaking to have a cigarette. When I first started going there they were polite. There place is very clean and nice inside.They are awesome as far as doing pedi's and nails. I've made appointments here and have came in and still had to wait sometimes 20 mins to 30 mins which I was understanding. For the first time when I wasn't able to keep my appointment since they been open. Due to my son having to go to the ER to find out he had type 1 juvenile diabetes. I tried to call three times to cancel the appointment. But since they aren't open until 10 am and had no voice mail I wasn't able to. I called to make an appointment today 6-26-14 and Kent's wife who answered the phone very rude to me. She went off on me telling me that if I ever miss another appointment that they won't do my nails ever again.. When I tried to explain to her what happened she said she didn't care and hung up on me. Kent and this employee's I've never had a problem with. Most of them are always in a great mood and treats people with respect. His wife on the other hand needs to learn how to treat customers and answer the phone correctly. Even when making appointments she is very rude. This is sad because they do such amazing work.
