So there I was, almost settling for a 'meh' mortgage deal--$400K, 20% down, and a steep 7.45% interest rate. I decided to have a second opinion and Found Moreira Team with so many great reviews, so I decided to contact them. Enter Lucky, my mortgage matchmaker. Within half an hour (no joke!), he rang me back with a deal that had my jaw dropping: $470K approved, just 3.5% down, and a 6.75% interest rate! But wait, there's more: The team had a cherry on top: They referred me to a superb Realtor named Catherine, who gave me a grand tour of Georgia homes. From there, Taylor and Amanda whisked through the paperwork, ensuring everything was ready in two weeks. For a first-time homebuyer, they turned what could've been a daunting drama into a smooth, feel-good experience. I'm so happy I found them! So if you're in the market for a great mortgage team, look no further. This team is the best!

They worked so fast to help me meet the seller's request for a more accelerated closing period, and throughout the process I always knew what was happening and what I needed to do next. Highly recommend them.

He has slept on the ground in snow and ice on the Pakistan border. We have been married 2 years. His first wife is deceased. We are both retired. He draws disability through the VA. I retired from a military airplane plant. My credit score is 794. Our combined income is 8k per month. With all that being said, we found a home in NC that we wanted to purchase. Our realtor recommended Loan Depot. Our lender was Ben Kinney in GA and Ray Robinson in NC. We were told that we qualified for a VA loan. My husband had no credit (not bad credit). He always used cash and had the utilities in his late wife's name. The lenders knew this. We started the loan process in April. In order to get the house, we were told along the way that there were certain criteria to meet a VA loan. We had to have an inspection which cost $600. Then they told us we had to have the well water checked($125). Then a termite letter($300+). They said the septic had to be pumped ($800), appraisal fee, etc. We were strung along being told that our loan was going to be approved. With that being said, along with earnest money, we had over $4,000 invested in the house believing we were getting the loan. 3 days before closing, we were informed we were not getting the VA loan due to my husband having no credit score and the well didn't have a permit ( the county didn't do well permits when the house was built and this was the first time the well permit had been mentioned ). If my husband's credit was a problem, we should have been told at the beginning that we would not qualify without having to meet the criteria. I was offered a FHA loan with me being required to pay my car off (29k) and giving 20k at closing! Are you kidding me? We already have close to 5k invested and they want us to give them more? Hell no! We have jumped through enough hoops! I want our money back. We were led to believe we were getting the loan up to a couple of days before closing. I would not recommend Loan Depot to anyone. Their incompetence cost us a home that we really loved and 4k . As a Veteran, my husband deserves better!
