I'll start by saying, I'm a complicated patient. I'm prone to anxiety and "what-if's" which leads…read moreto a million and one questions during my appointments and even in-between. I have a history of miscarriages, so when I found out I was pregnant, the staff really took care of me. I had HCG levels checked and was reassured constantly of what symptoms to look for. I had my son with the practice in 2022 and now we're back again with baby number two. Both times they've listened to all of my concerns and addressed them right away. I don't trust many people, but I would trust Dr. Alarcon and Dr. Tagechian with my life and the life of my babies over and over again. I've seen some bad reviews about wait times, but to put in perspective, I'd rather wait 30 extra minutes to ensure that my doctors are giving me all the time I need in the room than for them to be on time 24/7 and running out of the room at the 15 minute mark. Good care takes time and they're worth waiting for.

I had ongoing issues with this practice both before and after surgery, including poor communication…read moreand lack of follow-through. After surgery, a missed medication interaction led to uncontrolled pain and an emergency room visit the same day. Postoperative incision concerns were repeatedly reported but not addressed in a timely or effective manner. I ultimately had to seek care outside of this practice to receive proper treatment. This experience caused unnecessary pain, stress, and a prolonged recovery. I would strongly encourage patients to ask detailed questions about pain management and how complications are handled before choosing this practice.

This was a first-time visit. I waited weeks for this appointment. The appointment time was…read more8:45-9:00. They sent you a link. The link wants the office code. no code. I finally got into the portal. I filled out all the questions. The address is 699 church st. next to the hospital. Except they don't tell you to park in the blue parking deck. The sign on the outside of the building is on Tower St??????? No parking in the blue parking deck. And you get to pay for this. The address says #300. The lady at the front desk says you are in the correct place and to go to the second floor. Suite 220. I do. It says check in, I do. The lady behind the counter tells me and the other person in front of me the same thing: it's the 3rd floor. Suite #300. I still manage to arrive at 8:55. When I check in, the girl says I need to check that they may not be able to see. you. Wait, I said the appointment time is 8:45 -9:00. She says yes, but they need 30 min before with you, a face-to-face. No one told me this. I will need to reschedule. I will now have to wait months. OMG. Needless to say, I was pissed. I started to rethink my appointment; they don't have signage to get you there. The portal link has the wrong code on it for their office. And says nothing about the need to know stuff like how to get to their office. Proper suite numbers. Holy cow. If you are going to their location, I'll tell you. Go to the blue tower parking. Park. Go in and take the elevator to the main floor. Take note of the sign behind the lady at the desk, 699 address on the inside. Go past her all the way around to the next set of elevators. Don't go to the 2nd floor, suite 220; go to the third floor. #300. Or you could do what I am going to do and not go at all. The picture below is from there web sight stating #220.

My bloodwork showed a tumor marker of 84 and a cancer antigen of 413. I was scared I only had months to live because I felt it could be ovarian cancer. I had a hysterectomy in 2021 due to cervical cancer, but still had my ovaries. Dr Carroll walked into the exam room and immediately sai,d "It's not ovarian cancer, that's genetic." I asked her why my bloodwork showed high cancer markers, and she said its probably endometriosis. No additional workup or testing, just her opinion. She told me we could monitor my symptoms or remove my ovaries out of caution. I told her I needed time to decide. I was relieved but after a few months of worsening abdominal pain I asked for them to be removed. My surgeon expected to find endo due to Dr. Carrolls diagnosis but when he went in I had severe adhesions and he could not see my ovaries so he called in an additional surgeon to help. The ovaries were sent off for pathology and guess what, there was cancer in my left ovary. It looked like a science fiction character. Turns out cervical cancer moved to my ovary. So now I am under the care of a more competent doctor and currently under chemo/radiation treatment.

All records, labs, MD notes went from Emory to Wellstar. My aftercare with Dr. Carroll and her staff began during the Winter 2023 after my chemotherapy treatment and hysterectomy from the outstanding Emory Winship Cancer Center in Johns Creek. Her office is polite and professional; however, patient-centered care is not a top priority for them. So far since my blood work is stable without any evidence of disease warrants very little attention from all the people I have encountered which accounts for at least 5 people from nurses, front office and record keeping. I have in-person visits quarterly, and apparently no notes of my visits are documented. Nurses have asked a myriad of questions after my visit on the Wellstar online portal which I have mentioned at great length during my in-person visit. I've wasted too much of my valuable time answering questions that should be on record. Subsequently, the nurses time is also wasted.
