On 5/4 my mom was to have transportation from her rehab location to her doctors office. The…read morescheduled pick up time was 2pm for a 2:50pm doctors appointment. The drive (Steve) didn't show up until 2:30pm with no explanation. She arrived at the doctor at 2:51pm. I asked if they were given the correct time for the appointment and my mom said yes, the driving was running late and was late for his next pick up. Unreal! After the appointment the doctors office called for the return pick up. Steve says he is on his way. 20-25 minutes later I ask the receptionist to check on the driver as its getting late. The driver in froms her that he will be there between 4:30 - 4:35pm another 30 minutes from the 2nd phone call. It was 4:40pm when an unmarked white van pulls up. The first one had the logo on it. A 6ft plus man walks in after sitting in his van for about 10 minutes and (looking stoned) calls my moms name. Mind you she is the only one in there in a wheel chair. I advised the office she was leaving but that it was certainly NOT Steve that picked her back up. I later find out from my mom that the driver had just had several teeth removed from his mouth before picking her up!! WHAT!!! And he's driving a car and being responsible for others!! NO WORDS! Just none! Thankfully the fine gentleman that picked my mom up to take her home from rehab (and I never caught his name unfortunetly) knew what he was doing. Has obviously been doing this for some time and was knowledgeable of what he was doing. Would have loved to have gotten his name because you should have more like him. He made all the bad experiences a little bit better. But seriously letting someone drive who has been drugged up - REALLY!
