I highly highly recommend Mark from disabled on the go the van was meticulously clean, and he was able to squeeze me in on an emergency basis to get to the dentist. The best part although sad he has a family member who is disabled and this is why he started the business. His caring attitude and sense of humor made my trip more enjoyable, I mean who loves going to the dentist The price was more than reasonable. There is one negative review here on yelp that I personally feel is unfair. When I spoke with Mark, he told me that this gentleman called him three times, but would not give him his name or what he needed, and the phone number was from out of state , so Mark thought it was a scammer, but he still answer the call just to make sure that it wasn't someone who needed him. It turns out on the fourth phone call. Mark did find out that he needed his service but neither one of them felt they could work with each other. The fact that he took four phone calls and still couldn't get an answer . That shows me Mark true integrity. So please don't let one negative yelp review sway you from using this outstanding company. They will from now on be my go to transportation service. read more

I called on 6-15-23 to get medical transport for my 90 year old mother. The call had a poor connection and the "dispatcher" couldn't hear me well and I could not hear him very well either. I tried to tell him what I needed. He grew impatient and demanded that I tell him who I was and what I wanted as if I was making a prank call. I tried to let him know that I needed a med cab for my mother, but he grew impatient, I guess because he could not properly hear me. I hung up and called right back and hoped for a better connection, which I got. I guess from the caller ID he knew I was the same caller and immediately and rudly demanded to know who I was and why I was calling. Extremely rude and unprofessional professional!!! read more

Anyone who entrusts their loved ones with this company should have their heads examined. The process of booking the trip was cumbersome and confusing. In my opinion the lady who took reservation had no idea what she was doing. I booked the trip and got a call the day before pick up and was told they would not be able to pick my father up at scheduled time because they were over booked. Why take the reservation? The person who called made it seem like it was my fault. Who ever runs this business should retire or sell business. Very frustrating. There are other better services to use. I'd highly recommend this service for wheelchair bound patients who need to travel to an appointment. Mark V, our driver, took great care and consideration for my mom and me on our trip to Edward Hospital today. I was looking for a taxi service my boyfriend who just became a paraplegic. I called this company first and I'm so glad I did!!! What an AMAZINGLY AWESOME company!!!! They were able to squeeze us in last minute!!! It wasn't easy for them and I would NEVER do that to anyone. But they managed to squeeze him in ON A MONDAY!! Nancy and Mark are pros. You will feel well cared for from the moment you call them. It was our maiden voyage - flying with wheelchair - after a lifetime of travel. I was very apprehensive re the flight and all the arrangements I needed to make in Chicago for our trip. Disabled on the Go is reliable, dependable and flexible. I called several other companies and their prices were the best. They even caught my error re our arrival time at the airport and made the necessary adjustment. For one of the days when they were already booked and we needed transportation - they made all the arrangements for us and negotiated the price too. I called the company late last night for a pick up at 12:15 today. The owner said they could do it. He called this morning asking if he could pick up my mom a half hour early. I said I guess so, what option do I have at this point? She is an 89 year old woman and she will have to wait at the imaging center longer then. So he didn't just come a half hour earlier, he came 45 minutes earlier. My mom's caregiver scrambled to get her out of the house. Once done at the imaging center, the caregiver called for a pick up and was told by his wife it will be 30-40 minutes before my mom could be picked up. My mom was already exhausted and couldn't wait any longer. I called the owner back and left a message that she could not wait. I tried him about 5 minutes later and he answered. I told him I had to call an Uber because my mom could not wait 40 minutes to be picked up, especially after having to be picked up 45 minutes earlier than I had requested. The owner said he did NOT pick her up almost an hour earlier and then "never mind!" and he hung up on me. How unprofessional. No matter that he didn't like I called an Uber, no matter if he didn't like I said "almost an hour earlier", an owner of a business should never, ever hang up on a customer. EVER. Shame, shame on Disabled on the Go. I will never recommend them to anyone nor, of course, call them again. I have never had a business hang up on me. What a terrible, short temper the owner displayed. read more
