OUTSTANDING WHEELCHAIR TRANSPORT SERVICE & OUTSTANDING DRIVER MAREK My Mom has fractured part of her back recently and so is in a wheelchair. Her spine surgeon needed her to get a MRI quickly. So, the MRI scheduler called & got her the next available appointment which was literally 24 hours later. We live in the suburbs (Plainfield, IL) and so it is very difficult not only to get wheelchair transport out in the suburbs but also to get it quickly -- without a lot of advance notice. We found Rainbow Road Transport and they had great reviews online and so I immediately called them. Despite the lack of more than 1 day notice, they said they would schedule my mother for transport. We were grateful for that. Then we got co-owner Marek who came to pick up my mother (I went along to help with the medical paperwork). He not only came a little early (wonderful) but he also was able to get my Mom in her wheelchair over the 2 steps (without a ramp!) by lifting the chair and gently pulling it over the steps. Wow! This is the best exit my mother has yet had -- better than the hospital staff. We learned that Marek used to be a home caregiver and he brings that compassion to helping all his wheelchair transport clients. He went the extra mile and actually waited until my Mom finished at the MRI (since it would be too long to get back to their HQ and back in time). He treated my mother as if she was his own mother! I wish everyone associated with healthcare and helping professions would be as kind & compassionate as Marek. In my opinion, it seems that he sees his service helping mobility challenged people as a vocation and not just a job. When we need wheelchair transport services in the future, we will definitely look to work with Rainbow Road Transport again. read more

Needing transportation assistance from the "My Rehab Center" of the Lutheran Home to the offices of our Dentist and our Oral Surgeon, we were advised to call the Rainbow Road Transport. Indeed we're pleased to share that their services are excellent. Our Driver was punctual, helpful, compassionate, hospitable, and reliable. The Dispatchers are friendly, efficient, and accurate. On several occasions, we reached our destinations at the scheduled appointment times, and we were accordingly picked up for our return trips. Our safety and comfort was always their first priority. Yesterday's transport of my sister was exceptional. The driver was caring and very helpful. Monday's driver was not good. Delivered my sister falling out of her wheelchair and left her, then delivered her back to her room, left her starring at the wall, and did not advise the team that she was back in her room.
