What a joy and a pleasure it is to see a collection of fine young kids growing up and embracing something so amazing. The cruise, the teams of management, the love and compassion by all the people that are employed their is capable. It's easy to see that there's a connection that's very personal between everyone that comes there to learn and everyone that's there that teaches. Truly, a shining star of an organization.

It's most important work in in conservation and animal rehabilitation, but the center also gives so much to Marin through education and volunteer programs, which provide young people with invaluable training. I chaperoned a field trip here last week and the full school trip tour is amazing! The kids were really inspired. We've also visited as a family outing, combined with a trip to Rodeo beach. Tickets are free! Just make sure to reserve them online first. You only need about a half hour to look around the center, including a small informational area, windows to watch the fish kitchen (where fish smoothies are made) and lab, and outdoor viewing deck. Some days there are more seals visible than others. I think it gets particularly busy around February/ March, when seal babies can be abandoned by their mothers at the end of calving season.

I use to dance and sing with the Hula and African programs, but I gained the greatest benefits from the performance arts part of it. I was very shy and not a very good public speaker. In fact, I had horrible stage fright. But, through the nourishment of this culturally rich program, I am able to travel and have meaningful and gratifying exchanges with people from all walks of life. Even at work, I am able to conduct meetings in front of large groups and to work as a liaison for my company. I would have never even applied for the position, if I had not acquired the self-confidence from this platform. It's hard to put into words what the program has done for my life. The instructor is just beautiful and her teaching style is unparalleled.

It in itself is poorly organized and if you are just inquiring to get information there is no receptionist and therefor you must guess as to who you want to talk to from a recorded laundry list of names and departments. If you guess wrong you will just have to hope that that person will refer your name to someone there that can help. My suggestion is that they hire someone to organize them before they attempt to help anyone else.
