I had a very bad interview and experience with Leah Spivak. Her email says she is a Senior Recruiter and Staffing Manager. She most definitely should not be. I believe one star is appropriate not zero stars because the emails before the interview were fine and cordial. I am an experienced and licensed accountant who has had a number of interviews over the years and the interview with Leah Spivak was one of the worst I have ever had with an agency or an employer. I read the job listing for the Accountant Position on Perfect Timing's Website several times and I thought i was interested and could do the job even though my experience wasn't an exact fit. I was telling Leah Spivak why I could do the job with my experience, and she began asking me questions about my accounts payable experience which I haven't had in many years. She told me the employer wanted someone with high volume A/P experience. I told Leah that the job listing on Perfect Timing's didn't mention doing high volume A/P and in fact the job listing only said maintaining A/P records in passing as one of many duties. Her response was don't look at the job listing or the job listing isn't correct. So, is the job listing not correct and she or Perfect Timing is screwing with job seekers? Or was she singling me out and screwing with me. Let me tell you that there was mutual disrespect between Leah and myself. I had contacted Perfect Timing a couple years ago and the experience went all right, but I didn't get the job when the employer said I was overqualified. I thought I could have been satisfied with the job. I have thought over the years that Perfect Timing was a reputable employment agency. Leah Spivak represents the agency poorly. read more

Well, good for the people who found benefits in applying with this agency, but I was left with a sour taste. Their website says they're looking for (among other things) marketing people with Microsoft Office skills, which my resume confidently illustrated. But submitting my resume got me a trite email saying, "Your areas of expertise aren't in line with ours." I could see getting that response if I'd only been, say, a pizza delivery guy. But I'm not. So whatever...there are other recruiters in town. I'm sharing a disappointed review anyway. read more
