Tourist trap. HORRIBLE. Really Bad Service or staff if overwhelmed!!! Just the bad service made my experience horrible. Should have went to the other location. For one waited at least 15 minutes to sit down. The staff ignore the people waiting to GET in. Other customers were waiting to pay and become pro active and stood by the cash register. I would have given it one star but I did lie the macaroons- you are are better off walking a few feet in the store and getting Hermès.

Pass. Only good for photo op. Hot chocolate is bitter as expected and it's one of the better versions of bitter chocolate but only took couple sips. Mont blanc is not what I had expected and just so underwhelming. Inside is whip cream and outside is so sugary... Took only one bite.

The Angelina is expensive, touristy, and full of hype. The pastries and hot chocolate are delicious though. I spent €40 for two pastries, water, and two hot chocolates. I did appreciate that the cost of the hot chocolate was two cups each with whipped cream. The food did look delicious and wonderfully prepared. I saw several other tables get sandwiches and other items that looked delicious but we only stopped in for a break. We lucked out that there was no line at the time but there was when we left. I also appreciate that they will let you take your time to enjoy as long as you like. For those needing the restroom, specifically the men, just note it's a single unisex restroom of horrors around the corner on the other end of the building by the art gallery. Otherwise men have to go across the street to the men's section of the store.

It was a great experience we did really like specially their chocolate, ooooh my..!!!! The locations is very good inside the mall Lafayette, feels very private. Their service is good, it just take long to attend you but this is France and that's how they are so dong get upset because you already know How it is, just get in and take a seat and enjoy. We took the full combo which was 35€ I think per person, but here is about the experience of something different. I will give them 4 stars only because I didn't really like the omelet. But the rest was good.

For my first trip to Paris, I knew I had to at least visit an Angelina location to taste the famous hot chocolate and Mont Blanc. This was the most convenient location and there was no waiting time compared to other places. The service was quick and friendly. The hot chocolate was pretty good, but honestly nothing special. It was thick hot chocolate that anyone could easily make at home. I wasn't sure of what to expect from the Mont Blanc, but I didn't enjoy it. Desserts are usually never too sweet for me, but this one was. I also didn't care for the meringue in the center of the pastry. Overall, the combination of tastes and textures just didn't work for me. As other reviewers mention, this place is overpriced. If the desserts tasted better, then it would be worth the price. I'm glad I was able to visit this place and cross it off my list, but I will visit other patisseries during my next trip to Paris.

Ham and cheese. It was simple and delicious. 16 euros. Overpriced?

My wife has been on the hunt for the best hot chocolate in Paris. She was hoping the winner would be an unknown little coffee shop, but she'll be hard-pressed to find a better cup than Angelina's: thick dark chocolate imported from Africa. Warm and rich with unsweetened whip cream. We also ordered a ham and cheese sandwich. It came on toasted white bread. It was soft and subtle, a perfect snack. My other favorite part was the butter that came with the fresh rolls. The rolls were very good, but I won't soon forget the butter. The roll became just a vehicle for the butter. It was creamy and soft and spread smoothly over the bread. I loved scrapping the roll in the butter and getting a big glob of it on the end of the end of the bread and eating it that way. My only complaints are that it seems overpriced and also feels a bit like a cheesecake factory. Tons of tourists (which is fine -- I am one after all), all packed into a big room with tiny tables. But the food is top-notch!

Omg the review saying that it's too pretty to eat is on the spot I almost feel bad :) it was delicious fantastic amazing and expensive but totally worth it. If you wanna have a desert that you will dream about it get any of their deserts but I had mine at the Versailles museum

Angelina in Galeries Lafayette was the worst part of my family's entire Paris trip. Just looking at the menu, I had a feeling that the meal would not be good and asked everyone if they still wanted to eat there. The prices were ridiculously overpriced and from what I saw on the tables around us, it didn't look like the value was there. I ended up ordering the hot chocolate and the salad with foie gras. The hot chocolate came first and it tasted good at first but overly sweet, rich, and thick. I had to take small sips of it. Then the salad came. The lettuce wasn't the freshest and the foie gras was inedible to me. I had amazing foie gras at Les Cocottes the night before but the foie gras here had a weird flavor. After I finished the salad, I went back to finish the hot chocolate but it was impossible to drink. It had cooled off and was way too thick. I really needed a cup of hot water to water it down but the waiter was nowhere to be found. I would recommend avoiding this restaurant because it is a very expensive tourist trap.

What a hidden gem, in the corner of the galleria Lafayette. Pop in for a quick coffee, and afternoon delight of desert. The selection of pastries and macaroons are tempting from across the hall. The presentation and flavor make it worth stopping by to recharge while getting in some retail therapy.

    Chocolate dessert was too bitter

This place had the worst service. To bring water it took ten minutes. They forgot to bring one of the cappuccinos we ordered. The dessert was decent but could have been better. Out of all the desserts we ordered only one of them exceeded my expectations. The servers were rude and impatient.

Having had a few desserts, a hot chocolate, tea and a salad from Angelina, I feel like it's best to stick with desserts and tea at Angelina's. Skip the rest. Their famous hot chocolate is way overhyped in my opinion. It's good, but the most special thing about it is the fancy presentation. The salad is extremely average as well and I would avoid ordering their overpriced food. However, their pastries are out of this world delicious. I've tried the millefeuilles at a few other places in Paris and none can beat Angelina's version. It's richness and sweetness is so well balanced it leaves you feeling good after eating it, although you've just indulged in a dessert smothered in cream.

Angelina is well known for the dessert. It is located on 1st floor. It is a little bit pricy but the Mont Blanc is so delicious. Should try that at least once. I also tried Demoiselle Tatin and it is also good.

Highly recognised as audrey hepburn's favourite cafe to grab a hot chocolate, and also a favourite of coco chanel's too. They don't serve flavoured hot chocs, which seems to be all the rage these days, but you don't need it. It would just ruin their signature chocolate africaan. It's rich, velvety and quite filling, so don't go on a full stomach. Pair it with their signature mont blanc, chestnut cake, which is also very good, but again, very heavy. So it's pricy, but who the hell CAN budget in Paris? Spend the money & enjoy Paris like coco chanel.

We sat on the second floor but there is seating in the passage way as well. They do have wine in addition to coffee, hot chocolate, and tea. We tried the pistachio tart, the acrulier (like a fancier Ferrero rocher) and Kalingo (a chocolate cake). I had the gunpowder green tea while my sister had the hot chocolate. I honestly liked their hot chocolate more than the one at Angelina. It was rich but not chalky and the perfect amount of sweetness. The pistachio tart was the best one we've ever had and revived our spirits after a long day of walking. You pay downstairs and credit cards are accepted.
