He got points for taking me at my word and not getting condescending when I told him that he couldn't adjust me face down on the table because I have a flat upper back and that method simply doesn't work. But he blew it when I told him, after he rushed through an adjustment, that he missed a spot. "No, we got everything. You just need to..." "Could you just trust me on this? You did not get everything." I got back on the table and *crack crack crack* "Told ya you missed a spot." The second dude was nice and friendly enough but when I asked him what I could be doing to prevent or mitigate the pain, he said "Just keep coming in for those adjustments!" Wow. Someone should give that dude better talking points, because that was the worst possible answer he could have given. I have been seeing chiropractors on and off since I was 17yo. In that time I've had some truly amazing practitioners -- the kind that would demonstrate stretches to do to alleviate my pain or give me print outs detailing exercises to strengthen certain muscle groups, etc. Unfortunately, I've also had 3x as many truly mediocre ones, the kind that cared more about making a buck than they did about my pain. I almost forgot the part about how they were charging me more than my standard copay because my insurance didn't cover e-stim so they were charging me instead of, i don't know, not putting me on e-stim...? But whatever. I won't be going back.

His suggested exercises have helped me regain full movement in my arm I can lift things again!. He is by appointment only but often will fit you in the same day if you have a severe problem. In talking to him the depth of his knowledge and learnings, and his ability to impart it to you so you can understand it, is amazing. He has become, in essence, my primary care physician. I had chronic…read moreback pain since having a bad experience with a different chiropractor who had fixed the crick in my neck sustained in my yoga practice 3 months prior; however, left me with a new tremendous, electric, debilitating back pain for months to come (December 2017). 8 months later, after working with my favorite physical therapist (getting to apprx 70% full recovery), and experimenting with other chiros and remaining largely underwhelmed, hopeless and unchanged, I was recommended by a colleague to check out John. I saw John 8 months to the day of my injury in July and I feel nearly 100% to my physical being prior to 8 months ago. I haven't had to see him since. John is remarkable in that he thoroughly listens to everything you have to divulge, then confidently addresses the concerns through meticulous movement assessment and tests, physical release methods and "adjustments," acupuncture, deep myofacial massage and finally he dismisses you with homework or corrective exercises to do on your own. I was at my wit's end with back pain never having experienced it in my life prior to a bad episode at another doctor's hands. As a part time personal trainer and exercise instructor, movement and activity are big parts of my routine and ritual and I was depressed and frustrated with the lack of improvement and pain I experienced up until meeting John. John is direct, concise and wastes no time getting to the root of the problem. I intend to see him if I ever experience any kind of future impingement or discomfort, and perhaps just for acupuncture every once in a while to get into tight spots (like hips, since most of us sit in offices all day). GO SEE HIM ASAP. Stop wasting your time with chiros who say you need to go to them 2x a week for a month---they're taking your money without even knowing how your body will react after your first appointment. Go to John. He's the real deal. The world needs more doctors like him.

I had to visit my PT for inflamed muscles after being adjusted here. They charge a mandatory "massage" fee (5 minute massage, 10 minutes of a stim machine while they treat the patient overlapping with you) on top of your co-pay. They communicate well and are really on top of things. I usually wait less than 15 minutes before being seen.
