For over five years, I've been seeing Dr Veech for chiropractic treatments. He's very knowledge and has a great personality. He isn't a snap-crackle-and-pop agro chiro bro, and we have a good time musing about life while talking shop about body mechanics as he works on my musculoskeletal complications. My high level of fitness tends to be undermined at times by my overexertion. I first came to Dr Veech with a painful psoas muscle spasm that another chiropractor was unable to resolve. I'd had the problem treated successfully in the past by other practitioners, and knew what to expect. Dr Veech was able to resolve it in one visit. His treatments start with a variety of ART (Active Release Technique) muscle manipulations with active patient participation before any traditional chiropractic adjustments are discussed. The entirety of each long visit involves him working with you instead of slipping SOT blocks under you or adjusting your neck without warm up and running off to another patient. Andrew is my godsend! He has taken my poor aching body and has put me back together. He works deep, it hurts some of the time but the results are incredible. Dr. Veech is the real deal and deserving of every 5 star review he has. I've been to him over the course of a few years with neck pain and always walk out feeling some instant relief which helps me to get to longer term relief. Adjustments are not the sole focus of the session, and stretching and therapeutic massage both play a large part. You can tell Dr. Veech really cares for his patients, both going out of his way to squeeze me in a few times as well as checking in after the appointment. Additionally, I appreciate he doesn't try and sell you products, and recommended acupuncture in conjunction with adjustments, his goal is reducing pain. I've dealt with severe back pain for many years caused by horrible work ergonomic. I've found relief on pain killers and frequent chiropractors visits, which sort of helped, but I still had to rely on painkillers in between visits. My dilemma ended when I found dr Veech. I could barely walk when I arrived and skipped out on clouds! Every experience since then has been the same -- I am always relieved of the pain/problems I am having after going! Wow, so I use yelp to find people that are well recognized professionals by people that have seen them. It is hard to find a professional provider of services, Doctor, Lawyer or even a Chiropractor. Anyway Dr. Veech rose to the top of yelp by NOT having any ads but many great reviews - I ignore the ads. I have had bad doctors, and bad chiropractors in the past - and some great ones. Dr. Veech stands out as one of the best Chiropractors I have ever seen for the following reasons: 1) he didn't try to sell me a magic pillow 2) he didn't try to sell me an X-ray and said if it was needed he would refer me to a radiologist but as far as he was concerned it was not needed. 3) I work in front of a computer most of the day and have bad posture - he didn't try to sell me a gimmick to help with that - just told me to walk with my hands behind my back - in time it will improve but there is not a magic bullet. 4) Active Release Technique - he used to work for the NY Giants - tough customers, this really helps and was far and above what I expected. 5) He wants to follow up on 2 days - via email. If I am still in pain then he will have me come back in. If not - his job is done. 6) He is really an amazing and interesting guy. So, 5 stars is not enough! He deserves more. read more

It takes days to get an appointment and another few days get a response. Just been here once but not satisfied so I won't be going back. Been to several chiropractors and if I tell them I have united health insurance, they only charge me for $25 office visits. Never had an issue. I assumed it will be the same here, but this establishment charged $138 at my first visit and days later, when I inquired about the charge said something about calling the insurance company and out of network blah blah... so you charge first and inquire later? Never write reviews, but this one is worth it. Herniated disc in lower back a year ago. Months long recovery. Finally back to normal, then reinjure it playing football over the weekend. I literally walked in looking like a sideways L. Could not stand up straight, shooting pains down my right leg from the base of my spine. Dr. Veech proceeded to work his magic. Not even focusing on the adjustments and cracking that my other chiro did. He went after the source of the problem, working out the muscles supporting the joints and skeletal system. Was able to walk out of there upright and proceeded to have a normal day at work. Two days later, am at 95% recovery. If you're looking for somebody who takes the time to ask questions in order to figure out how best to treat you then look no further than Dr. Veech! He doesn't just do your standard one size fits all chiropractic adjustments like many other doctors do. It is custom to what you need and he doesn't pressure you to be on a treatment plan. I've come in a few times to treat an old hip flexor injury that tightens up during squatting. He used his active release techniques to alleviate the pain and showed me some techniques and stretches that helped me squat with much less discomfort. I visited another time to have my back and neck adjusted and also to relieve some stiffness around the neck/shoulder area. Probably from my bad desk setup at home! Worked with Andrew for approx 2 years to help get some short term and longer term relief to my chronic, deep, and dull pain in the right shoulder. Andrew is a very skilled, professional and personal practitioner. I have not been going consistently or been diligent on doing the stretching exercises to report any lasting results. Oops, I think i waited too long to write a review for Dr. Andrew Veech. I have had neck issues for 2 years + now, from pain to nagging frustration, muscle knots to pinched nerves............BLAH...Prior to Dr. Veech, I tried everything -from eastern medicine -acupuncture, weird but more advanced acupuncture, a mean chinatown chiropractor, chinese herbal approach and finally reverted back to my PCP, who didn't believe how bad my knots and neck pain were and fed me muscle relaxers that acted as a great sleeping aid- THANKS, i can sleep now. But to no avail, everything failed. even physical therapy where i just stop showing up for further appts just cuz it sucked.....Try yoga which just made my neck more sore (don't over stretch,now)and whatever neck alleviating tool you can buy from amazon, i'm now hoarding it in my home. even though a theracane is somewhat useful. Then in a desperate attempt to find a better and different approach, i went for Dr. veech..A.R.T therapy seem just too awesome- Relieving the muscles and tissues as its focus- instant relief on knots! Many sessions in, no other practice or doctor has provided me the relief as this one-man establishment. I am thankful and find myself hopeful for a cureeeeeeee in the near future. I grew up believing the stereotype that all chiropractors were quacks and a waste of money. Fortunately, that is not the case with Dr. Veech. I made an appointment when I couldn't handle my middle back pain any more. This was most likely caused by carrying a heavy purse or computer bag on a daily basis. Dr. Veech was able to work through my many knots using a method called ART. He was very thorough and although treatment was painful, he did relieve my back pain. While he was treating me, we got to talking about any other possible areas of discomfort. Jokingly I mentioned I have stress related TMJ. To my surprise, he was able to work my jaw muscles and remove the tension causing my pain. I was surprised to learn chiropractors did things other than just cracking your neck and back, which was nice because that makes me a little nervous. I was relieved that he focused more on the muscles. I now see Dr. Veech once a month. Unfortunately, the majority of PTs and Chiros are complete frauds who don't know how or care to help you but want to run your insurance bill up. I went two two physical therapists and one chiropractor before coming to Dr. Veech for my shoulder and neck pain. Even though I was with them for months, veech was able to get me back in the gym in about 5 sessions. I am now slowly working my shoulder back to its original strength and have made decent progress. Dr veech is a very knowledgable Chiro who is not just looking to run your insurance up. He has a great understanding of the body and he is even easy to talk to! Dr. Veech is a miracle worker! I was visiting New York City for the weekend, when I did something to my neck and could barely move or speak without intense pain. I called Dr. Veech on a Saturday looking for some relief. He told me he could see me in the afternoon and that he'd even take my insurance. I felt comfortable talking to him immediately and it was clear he was competent and confident about his work. Dr. Veech worked on my neck using ART for about 30 minutes. This review is not about the treatment. It is purely based on the unprofessional behavior of Dr.Andrew. First of all, nobody answers the calls in the office to schedule the appointment. I got an email response a day later to book the appointment. I was asked to come to office in the afternoon on Saturday. But when I went to office, nobody was there. Because I have family in NYC, I often visit this city. The last time I was here I had hurt my neck and shoulder blade area. I didn't know what to do since my insurance is in The Netherlands, so my brother suggested seeing a chiropractor. I was a little nervous, but I was told through some friends that Dr. Veech was awesome. I called and left a message and his office had promptly returned my phone call. He also makes email appointments, which was convenient and he has a very flexible schedule. He made the next morning work to help me since I was only in town for a week. I was given a great combination of muscular/tissue work with adjustments. So far I'm a big fan of his "active release" treatment (probably got the name wrong) He also didn't feel pressured to sign on to a series of treatments to solve all that ails me. There was also great communication throughout the treatment. I was never worried about what he was going to do next. BONUS: he's completely easy going! He has renewed my faith in chiropractors. I'm more of a physical therapy kind of gal but he proved me wrong. I have been visiting Dr. Veech on and off for one year now. A year ago, I started to feel pain in my shoulders and every time when I swing my arms or just move shoulders a little, I can hear loud clicking sound from the joint. It was really painful and sometimes I feel numbness. When I visited Dr. Veech, I was in a state that I could not even carry a bag because of the pain. The heaviest thing I could lift at that time was my 400 gram camera. I would not say the first visit was magical, but it definitely alleviate my pain and therefore I continued to come here. At first I had to come twice a week, but then gradually my visit frequency decreased to once a week and now I'm visiting once every one or two month. After being hit by a truck, all I wanted was relief from nerve pain caused by 2 herniated discs in my lower back. It has been 2 years since the accident and I had already seen 2 other chiropractors. However, Dr. Veech is not your average chiropractor. He has a better understanding as to how the alignment of your body coexists with muscle activity/stability than other chiropractors I've been to. From that, he really puts the work in when it comes to reading and coaxing everything back into a 'happy place' (á la Bob Ross). I've been a patient of Dr. Veech's for years (though a very infrequent patient, which is a good thing). It started with an intense pain in my leg that arose from theatre/performing. That pain was severe that I started walking with a limp, which is pretty scary for a generally healthy 20-something. Thankfully, I was completely back to normal after two visits (and significantly better after the first). Everyone's gonna to be different, but Dr. Veech explained why he was doing what adjustments/stretches. And he made me confident that if my injury were beyond his scope, that we'd find he right person. I wanted to wait for several visits before I wrote a review so I can be more descriptive about the service he provides. I am a 33 y/o male and lead a very active lifestyle. But my activities have been hindered by serious back issues. Three months ago, I had back surgery, and while the pressure has been relieved somewhat,it still occurs sporadically. Enter Dr. Veech. I have been visiting Dr. Veech for over a month now, and his chiropractic therapy has been incredibly helpful in isolating muscular pain and treating it with usage of pressure, stretching and a myriad of other techniques. I went to see Dr. Veech for a rather simple problem with my back. I'm not here to write about how this mans hands changed the way i see the world. I feel like a Chiropractor is a Chiropractor and they all do just about the same thing.
