Not exaggerating when I say that this pizzeria has the best Italian hoagie in SJ. The bread, quality of deli meat and cheese, and freshness of the lettuce, onion, and tomato is just A++. I grew up around Turnersville and have been enjoying their hoagies for over 10 years, and during that time, the consistency of their food has been pretty astounding. When I moved away, I struggled (and still struggle) to find an Italian hoagie that is better than theirs. A few times a year, I'll make the drive so I can enjoy one again. Although this is your typical pizzaeria in terms of offerings, they do have some seating inside if you'd like to dine-in, but it's counter service and the seats aren't comfortable enough to hang for multiple hours. This place used to be good but last night I decided I can't go back. The bbq sauce I ordered with my wings is just foul. Nothing bbq tasting about it, it's watery and doesn't cling sticky to the wings. I took my wings home, rinsed them off easily from the watery bbq sauce and heated sweet baby rays up and tossed the wings in it. Perfect! I sent back the chicken parm sandwich. They use pizza sauce for it, plain and no flavor plus the chicken has no flavor in the breading. The roll or whole sandwich was never put in pizza oven to toast the roll and melt the cheese so the grease from the chicken saturated the white bread in roll..it was the worst chicken parm sandwich ever served to me. They should be putting every hot sandwich in pizza oven to to toast it but their main goal is to get order out fast to make money. 50 bucks for a slice, an iceberg salad with a green yolk hard boiled egg and coarsely over large chunks of carrots, no croutons(they forgot) 10 wings and a chicken parm. I really didn't want the wings but i knew I was gonna easily rinse the watery bbq sauce off and get the delicious sweet baby rays on them and bring them back to life. If they can't make a good bbq sauce then use a great commercial one! 50 bucks! Who spends 50 bucks in a pizza joint!!! No utensils, a dirty table we had to ask to be cleaned off, and overpriced. I am a die-hard pizza lover of Tony's Baltimore Grill in AC, but I must tell you Angelo's unbelievable square pie rival's any of the suberb pizza joints in New York City. The pizza sauce that they use has a delicious, long cooked, homemade taste, and the crust has the perfect crunch, bite, and chewyness that makes me crave their pizza, and sorry that I don't live closer to this great restaurant. My folks started eating here in the early 2000s when we moved back to South Jersey. There used to be an ice cream place called ice cream.cone back then - I remember thinking it was a real website. It wasn't. Anyway, their pizza is fine - it's good. It doesn't rival the trendy Philly spots but it is never bad. I am writing because the sandwiches are great. We were late discoverers of this restaurant. The grandma's slices are big and delicious. We got it on two separate visits, good both times. Their margarita slices were good the first time, but the slice of that was noticeably smaller the second time. Must be at the whim of their slicer, but it isn't cheap for a smaller slice. We also like their antipasto salads, big with lots of lunch meat folds. But we tried a chicken cheesesteak on the last visit and it was big, packed with meat, but hopelessly dried out with very little cheese. The chicken steak was too dense and chewy and we gave up eating it, threw it out. It seems to be our curse that we really like a new place we try, then we get schnookered eventually on follow-up visits. Their staff is friendly and service is prompt when you go for personal pickup. But the cheesesteak disappointment (and it was 12 bucks!) and small margarita slice (also a chunk of change) just weren't cool and with so many similar places in the area, we'll continue to explore. Someday we'll go back for the very good salad though. read more

Normally I love this place, the food itself is good. That's how it got two stars. Today I ordered pizza online from them and after the pizza not showing up after over an hour, I called. No big deal, it's Friday and I know they get busy. I had to speak to two people and then they said they will get something out to me now. They hadn't even worked on the order yet! In the end, it took over two hours to get our order. I didn't expect a refund (even though I feel like it was totally in order), they never even explained anything or apologized which I feel like we deserved at least that much. My husband and I moved to town about 3 years ago. Angelo's Pizza was our go to until recently we waited an hour and 50 minutes for a large pizza and wings. We called after an hour & the worker told us that the driver left and was on his way. We waited another 50 minutes before the driver actually arrived. Well Angelos lost a long time customer tonight. I ordered a pizza burger and what I received when I picked it up was a chopped up burger with sauce, half melted big glob of cheese and a roll that was completely mush. They've increase their prices as expected due to Covid but what is unexpected is the quality has dropped and obviously the burger you get is so thin it falls apart when they cook it. So I loved their pizza the first time I had it a few weeks ago. Last night I was really craving a slice so we decided to order from here. Well... it was next to impossible. We called multiple times and there was no answer. Their website says you can order online to avoid calling..that would be lovely if the website actually worked. I did not want to order from Grubhub as this place is right around the corner and I did not want to pay their delivery fees. Also I like to order from the actual restaurant so they get the benefit of my tip. This place was very disappointing. I ordered mild wings, fries and a cheesesteak... and we were getting it ordered to the Blue Cork winery.. (also horrible experience). They took 2 hours to bring us the food and our time was running up at the winery in the meantime. We had ordered their square pizza once before and it was fantastic! Today, we ordered the same plus a chicken Caesar salad and were quite disappointed. The food didn't arrive until almost 2 hours after ordering. The pizza was cold and the crust tasted rubbery... Almost like Play-Doh. The cheese looked like it was barely cooked. On the plus side, they do give you a ton of chicken with the salad, which tasted great. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough dressing to cover the lettuce hidden underneath. Went today September 3rd and ordered a large pizza,extra cheese and half pepperoni NO oregano, I have a allergy to it that causes my throat to start to close and hard to breathe. My husband ordered a salad and soda which never showed up. When he called the store to the check on the status after an hour the woman told him the delivery driver says he, "Dropped it off on the chair out front." When we told them we do not see the order the owner get on the phone (I'll assume Angelo) says, "I'm so sorry the driver dropped it off at 27 not 24 but we will send another one ASAP. The lady then got on the phone I guess to get a reorder and In the back you hear the delivery driver going off about how we are lying (about a 9 dollar salad.) which we also over tipped because we were once servers (5$ On top of delivery). We insisted the driver to come and check for the food he left on "the chairs" instead of knocking on a door or even calling? We even stated we arnt out to get them for a 9$ Salad and are happy to wait for one to actually be delivered. I guess the owner got back on the phone and at this point we didn't want this driver who claims we are lying to even come near our house. Listen things happen but the customer service and lack of respect toward a customer is appalling. There are plenty of pizza places that wouldn't even allow an employee to say that about a costumer in the background of a phone call. The people you surround yourself with at work usually shows how you business is run. The fact that this arose from a pizza order is sad. This is just a warning for future service to avoid. I ordered 3 different slices to share between me and my dinner partner. The cheese slice was just okay. The pepperoni was not good at all- it had enough cheese for 2 slices; that went in the trash. The grandma pie slice was good but i did jazz it up with garlic and oregano. I ordered cheese fries to go. I should've known they were going to be trash as well with how fast they came out. The fries were undercooked and the cheese was flavorless. Also the old lady with the glasses snatched the receipt off when i reached for the bag...
