Original round pie with sausage, ricotta & garlic
    Ashlee D.

My husband and I finally decided to try Polizzi's Brick Oven after living in the area for 5 years. We have heard great things & wanted to see for ourselves. We were not disappointed! We had mozzarella sticks to start, which were great. Then we decided to get The Original Pie (round) and add Sausage, Ricotta & Garlic. First bite in my husband said it reminded him of a pizza he's had before... it's Sam's Pizza in Wildwood, NJ! If you are a Sam's person, the original pie here tasted EXACTLY like their pizza which is good for us cause that's our favorite down the shore. From the crust to the sauce, summer days came flooding back to us. Service was great as well. We ate in & were greeted by the gals at the front. They let us know we can seat ourselves. When you are ready to order you head to the front & let the people taking orders know what you'd like. They bring your food right to your table & it's QUICK! We got our mozzarella sticks shortly after ordering and then the pizza followed before we could even finish. Highly recommend, we will be returning !

Take out selections to reheat at home: Plain cheese, pepperoni and Detroit slices
    Lee M.

Heard lots of great things about their pizza and I was craving Detroit pizza. Just ten minutes from Rowan University so we popped by to grab some takeaway to reheat later. Family gave it a thumbs up. Plain pizza slices were thin and crispy with perfect cheese to tasty sauce ratio. Same with the pepperoni slice that had plentiful pepperoni. And the Detroit pizza was airy with tons of cheese including the signature crisp cheese on the crust. Definitely returning.

9/10. This is their carnivore pizza without bacon 10/10. We also had their white Detroit pizza, I would rate that 7/10, room for improvement for the price - I think added ricotta would have been an amazing benefit. We typically stick with All About the Crust but I might say this is the best pizza I've had in Twp.

We ordered "The Wifey"and added pepperoni, which we didn't realize it didn't have cheese, but even without it, this is some of the best pizza I've had in a very long time. The quality of the red sauce on the pizza was amazing and all the toppings on it, you wouldn't even notice it didn't have cheese. Service was amazing. The owner delivered our pizza to the table and was super nice. We will be back here! I don't normally write reviews, but this family owned business deserves it!

First time here and was very impressed! My wife had a pregnancy craving for some good deep dish, and Polozzi's came highly recommended. The crust was absolutely perfect. Very crispy with the singed cheese as the crust. The pep was the little grease cups (that's a good sign they know what they're doing). All the ingredients were very high quality. Could've used a little more crisp on the wings, but they were also very very good. The service was also outstanding and the place was super clean (including the bathrooms). The owner came out and checked on us, and they had multiple regulars stop in. Seems to be a great neighborhood staple that loves the community and cares about quality. I'll be coming back to try the round pie and maybe bump the review up to a 5

Cotardo's has always been an excellent value. Good food, nice portions with FREE garlic bread, side salad & soup. Plus, being BYOB saves so much money if you have any drinkers in your party. We find their prices to be quite reasonable, as costs have recently skyrocketed. I'm guessing the man complaining about the salad upcharge hasn't been shopping for produce in quite a while. Should the restaurant lose money because you think since its your birthday, or whatever, you should get something more expensive instead of the free option already offered? Restaurants have had to adjust due to costs- I think Cotardo's has done an excellent job of balancing value with quality. Also want to mention that their servers are amazing! W O W We drove up to a humble building and entered into a welcoming and a very nicely decorated restaurant. I loved all the red "pops" for Valentine's Day! Giovanni seated us and Chris was our server. Both were warm and friendly. We really enjoyed our conversation with Chris and he gave us a few special treats as "first timers." I flipped for the focaccia bread! It reminded me of Lamberti's on Haddonfield-Berlin Road back in the day. This was even better though - I "kinda" had five pieces lol! We started with salads that were super good! I barely like tomatoes but these grape ones were so tasty! Now onto the star ... LOBSTER RAVIOLI in a brandy sauce! This dish was AH-MAZING and one of the night's specials - from the tender pasta and scrumptious lobster, to the incredible sauce and two succulent large shrimp. The chef added some sun dried tomatoes in, per my request - absolutely delicious!!! My Sir was grinning at me! I couldn't stop ooh'ing and ahh'ing at the "symphony " of flavors in my mouth! He had Veal Parmigiana with a side of Vodka Rigatoni, that he loved (it's his go-to dish that he bases restaurants on). I cleaned my plate, and took the remaining brandy sauce home - this gold wasn't going to waste! Chris hooked us up with two bread more bread baskets because he noticed how we were inhaling it- we took the remainder home too! A treat was meeting Peppe and his wife (?) on the way out. What lovely and gracious people! You can tell that they genuinely love what they do, which is why their food is so damned good! We already talked about going back - my eye is on the Calzone!

Our time dinning was cut short when their bus boy/man decided to clear our table before we were finished eating! If you plan on staying open on Holidays, then you allow enough time to dine. Our waitress was great and she tried to offer us coffee and dessert but who wanted dessert when we were being rushed out! There were people still in their bar area and they weren't being rushed out. We called and complained and we were told they were sorry and would send something really nice in the mail. We never got anything and when we called again we got nowhere and of course we never got anything even complained to the manager! Also the few times we tried eating at the bar we were ignored; I can only guess that if the male bartenders knew you, you got served, we were not known yet after at least 4 visits and had to go out of our way to get served! Then they burnt our food and didn't care. As a result of everything we never went back after last Christmas that was the final insult. We enjoyed a pre-dinner drink at the bar, and we were so impressed by how friendly the bartenders were. They were engaging and social. They set off our evening on a high note! Our group ordered the Limone Chicken, Chicken Sfiziosa, Steak Frite, and the Eggplant Meatballs/Risotto. Everything came out piping hot and delicious. We loved everything. We arrived around 3:45 PM without reservations and they immediately took us to an open table. Iced Waters were instant. Our server was very pleasant and she took our order. Bread quickly followed with two types served: Italian with sesame seeds and focaccia; however I was puzzled that it was served with a plate of hot peppers and onions in a juice. It seemed off but perhaps it's a Jersey thing. I've been all over in Italy and have never seen this. Olive oil would have been fine along with a splash of balsamic vinegar. Either way I skipped bread condiments. Next came the Fried Tomatoes topped with Lump Crab as an appetizer, but once again I had another head-scratcher, as this dish wasn't typical. First the entire dish lacked seasoning plus salt. Then red tomatoes were used and we all know what happens when you try to fry one. It turns to water after you cut it. The lump crab is what probably made this dish pricey but 3 thinly slices of a red tomato caught me off guard. Now for the final knock out: I ordered the Bone In Pork Chop and impressed that I was asked how Iiked it prepared? I said 145 degrees. She said, you mean well- done. I stated no, that would be in a range of medium. Lo and behold, it was fantastically preparation temperature, but it came topped with the same peppers and onions concoction that came out with the bread. I had no idea that this was a smothered situation. My broccolini was also a mystery. The mashed potatoes were mid. Now on to my daughter's chicken Parmesan: She said that it lacked flavor and had to add salt and pepper and also stated that the sauce was loose and there was too little of it. My wife enjoyed her Salmon. Jersey is cooking differently!!!!! I forgot to add: Underneath of my pork chop I discovered a mysterious piece of corn. I had no corn in my dish??????

For entrees I had the chicken francese which was battered well, and had a tangy lemony taste. Served with snap peas and mashed potatoes.
