My first stylist was on maternity leave (she did a fantastic job), so I was set up with Hannah. I'm always a little nervous when I have a new stylist, but Hannah quickly sent my nervousness out the door. I came in a complete mess, as a result of very foolishly experimenting with a color mask on a whim (let's just say, I learned my lesson, and good; won't EVER be doing that again! We both weren't sure what could be done, but Hannah had an idea, started working, and as she progressed, it starting flourishing by the minute. By the time all was done, my self-made mess was not only corrected, but it came out AMAZING. FANTASTIC. I was completely blown away, and positively giddy when I left! I've always wanted to book but my schedule never allowed. One day I saw that she was opening up her books for appointments so I snagged one ASAP! Let me first just say, I am SUPER skeptical about people doing my hair because I have long, thick natural hair that gets super tangly. Most hairstylists don't have the patience or time to throughly detangle my hair so they end up just raking through it and breaking/damaging it. After seeing all of her posts on IG I was confident that she'd be be able to successfully tackle my texture of hair (she specializes in natural hair textures). I booked via Vagaro where she lists all of her services (ranging from flat ironed styled, locs, twist outs, precision cuts/trims, and extensions). Her prices for silk presses start at $85 and include shampooing, conditioning, blow drying, straightening and styling. When I arrived at her salon I was greeted by her and her assistant. The shop was gorgeous and felt very private. She has a room with 2 styling chairs and hooded hair dryers as well as a room with a shampoo bowl. She started off by doing an assessment of my hair and talking me through what to expect as well as making her professional recommendations. I could immediately tell that she was going to be good! She detangled my hair (while dry) and then proceeded to shampoo/condition. Then it was time to detangle (wet) after it had been shampooed/conditioned. This is the part that I always get so nervous about but she was amazing. She took her time and detangled my hair from ends to roots!!! This was like a hallelujah moment for me! She detangled all of my hair without tugging, pulling or breaking my hair off! She has a secret method that she does and let me tell you, it works! She then blow dried my hair and recommended that I get a precision cut. I trusted her recommendation as she allowed me to see exactly where my split ends were and where exactly she was going to cut. She cut my hair and then straightened it. She only did one pass to straighten my hair which was fantastic as it prevents heat damage. I wanted a side part with big curls and the style came out beautiful! It's been over a week and I'm still getting compliments!!! She did an awesome job and is very educated on natural hair. She walks you through what's she's doing during the entire process and informs you about the science of hair. That level of transparency and expertise allowed me to feel relaxed and confident in what she was doing to my hair. I've never been able to really relax at a salon because I've always had to watch exactly what the stylist was doing (asking myself, are they detangling from ends to root, are they putting too much product in my hair, are they pulling my hair out when they are blow drying it, are they doing multiple passes with the flat iron?) and it becomes a stressful experience. With Prinshell, you can feel confident that not only will the health of your hair be the top priority, but the customer experience and final result will make you a client for life! Bonuses: Her salon is beautiful with grey, purple, and navy decor. The club chairs (under the dryers) are blue velvet and are so plush and comfy! She offers a complimentary snack bar which is stocked with chips, snacks, and candy. It also includes water, sodas, juice and red and white wine. Her assistant is lovely and is all about healthy hair as well. The atmosphere is chic and upscale and everyone there was talking and having a great time! If you're natural and live anywhere close to Fayetteville, NC I would highly recommend!!!

Deciding to leave a bad review a few months after this happened because I shouldn't have been…read morebullied and intimidated by the owner to delete my original 1-star review. Asked for the picture attached. Got something completely different. Asked to have it fixed. They agreed. But then they cancelled my appointment to fix it and told me never to come back because they saw my 1-star review. I physically went and spoke to the owner, who raised his voice and belittled me for being in the military and not making enough money to pay another $300 to get it fixed. I eventually gave in and said I would delete the review so they'd fix it. It was fixed, but my hair felt dead, like dry hay. I had very healthy hair before. I fully expect the owner to comment on this and claim I am lying. I have nothing to lose so I'm telling my story again. Do not go here.
