When we had to go on a trip, we wanted someone to stay in our house and take care of our two dogs. While Erin can't stay overnight, one of her people does exactly that. Sue Jenkins is the warmest, most conscientious, most loving, most trust-able dog sitter we have ever met. She stays at the house overnight, walks and feeds the dogs in the morning, comes back at noon to walk them, then she's back at 4 for the rest of the day. She follows instructions perfectly, including giving one of the dogs medicine. If she has an issue, she calls, but we would trust her to make most decisions. We've even called on an emergency basis and she's gone over and taken care of them. Erin and Sue are a great resource for the community and probably 6 or 7 families in the neighborhood use them. I looked into training at DogTowne. I felt he needed formal training, but not at an entry level. I spoke on the phone with Kat and she suggested a couple of private sessions so that she could evaluate him, and then move on to Varsity training group class. What we were experiencing with him was not aggression; he was just "asking" for play like he would with his dog siblings. We tried one other daycare closer to my work prior to Jillian's and had a terrible experience- for the exact same price!!! It is worth it for me to drive a little further just to keep him here. Jillian's has a great space outside, Scott has sent me pictures of my puppy while there to make me feel more comfortable, and he comes home just the perfect mix of tired but without me worrying that he didn't get a chance to rest all day. They group the dogs by side for play groups so I never had to worry that he was going to be trampled by bigger dogs. She is a needle in a haystack. Lori will treat your fur babies as her own. Her business etiquette makes you feel like she is family from day one. Her daily communication with you about your fur baby will put you at ease. She has been watching my pug and cat for many years. She has also helped me out in emergencies resulting in multiple two week hospitalization stays. She has even gone over and beyond helping me make a difficult decision to leave my pug with a nurse at the hospital, where I was admitted. Lori had her wedding that week. She spoke with the nurse. Then went to my home to prepare my dog to for her week stay with the nurse. She met the nurse at my home and did the transfer. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my fur babies.
