We have also used NPC's boarding services for anywhere from 1 night to several weeks at a time. I have never once worried about her care or wellbeing while she is staying at NPC. The owners are incredibly kind, caring people who treat Minnie like she is their own dog. Absolutely no cold, lonely cages like most boarding places use. Instead, Minnie gets to be comfortable on the couch with her second family while we are away. NPC really treats all of their customers and their pets as family; I feel very lucky to have a service like theirs in the neighborhood! She was clear that they have phased out accepting senior dogs who haven't been their clients. She also said I needed several days of daycare to assess temperament. It sounds like there may be some disconnects between this company's policies and what their reps say. This can probably be remedied with some training. We agreed on a day and time for me to bring my cat and the day before she asked if I could come at 9:00am instead of 9:30am because she was heading out for 2 hours at 9:15!! WHAT?? She thought nothing of having me bring my cat who had never been there before, shove him in a crate and the leave right after he gets there for 2 hours? The whole point of me bringing him was for her to meet him, see how he does. When I asked if it might be better to bring him later that day when she would be around, she said no I'm having company!! Again WHAT?? How much attention and time was she planning on spending with my cat who would probably have been frightened as can be. I would NEVER bring my cat there and I'm so happy that I learned what she's truly all about beforehand. Looks can be deceiving!!
