A great place to eat after a long drive. Angie's give a hole-in-the-wall feel, especially with no one else dining in the restaurant. Pleasantly surprised that our food was really yummy! The serve complimentary chips & salsa, super spicy salsa but tasty!! Ordered the combination plate which came w/ 2 enchiladas, 2 tacos (specifically asked for brisket tacos based on reviews here), a flauta, rice & beans. Portions were enough to share between 2 people. I also learned that they make their own tortillas!

OMG, this place is amaaaaazing. Randomly landed in Fort Hancock and wandered in here since it was the only place open, and enjoyed it so much that evening, that we returned the next morning for breakfast! It's a cinderblock box with a dingy peeling, diner interior. No big deal, it's on a border town and totally authentic mexican food as far as I can tell. What's amusing is that they don't serve beer, however they are cool with BYOB! lol. For dinner I had chili which was delish! Now I get what my local chili place in VA has listed on their menu as "Texas Chili". Lots of ground meat...hold on, we need more emphasis there. CHOCKED FULL of ground meat, just enough spice, some oil floating on the top, and just a party in your mouth and thankfully it's dinner for one since I didn't want to share. Breakfast was a loco burrito which was scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese, refried beans, and some magic. Move aside McDonalds and your delish McSkillet Burrito, we have a new sheriff in town! :D Huge and savory. I can't rave enough about Angie's, loved this place and would be worth a detour if you weren't too far.

Love. That's what you taste in every bite. Salsa is spicy, but not so much that you can't eat it. It's fresh and I saw a nice big chunk of jalapeño pepper in it. I don't know what they put in their Supreme Burrito, but that red sauce is pretty amazing. I had Flautas, and kept dipñing them in my husband's leftover red sauce. So yummy. We stopped en route to Austin, and will no doubt come by again. It's small, but it feels like homely. Apparently, National Geographic stopped by, too,and they also like this place. ***Also, cash only*** If you don't have cash, you can get some at the ATM in the gas station, next door.

Excellent huevos rancheros! The salsa and tortillas are fresh and pillowy-soft! Next time I will forego the string hash browns that come with and ask for an extra tortilla instead! Great service, warm hometown atmosphere and screamin' WiFI. Plenty of parking for your rig and substantial dog run. Highly recommend!

Chicken fried steak is delicious. Small local place just off the highway. Cash only. Well worth the price.

It really does taste like a butter-milk biscuit! Super friendly staff make up for the dingy and dirty environment.

Landed here by coincidence. Kinda feels like your mom's cooking if you are Mexican. Good hole in the wall.

We are not sure what happened, but the place changed. The old staff (who were relaxed and fun to be around) are all gone, the delicious food we kept returning to have is also gone, replaced by a menu that doesn't know what exactly this restaurant wants to be (tacos, fried chicken, attempt at French menu items, etc). They have 6 different kinds of French toast. We tasted 2 of them, and they have the same taste. Just different toppings. The price for the French toast with eggs, bacon and home fries was $17. Now they charge $18 just for 2 slices of brioche with some sauce that resembles the old Banana Foster sauce, and an additional $6 for the eggs, bacon and home fries. Disappointing, and more expensive than it's worth. Walking into a restaurant to be held hostage by some speech about a small store selling books inside the restaurant?! Yeah, don't do that. If we hadn't already ordered, we would have left. No refill on water, no inquiry about any other drinks. I wasn't even finished with my meal and the server slapped the check on the table and walked away. If that doesn't make you feel "welcome to leave", I don't know what does. Looking around, I find it unacceptable to bring food to the table 5 minutes apart for every person at the table. The staff now wears embroidered shirts with the restaurant logo (except for one, she was just chewing her gum while taking orders- also, ew), and the atmosphere has changed from casual to "we wanna be high end, we made some money so now we want you to pay more". Disappointing.
