A1 burritos my favorite spot when I'm in from Dallas. Even call family to bring it to the airport. Been going here for so many years.

Served huevos rancheros. Had a large piece of cellophane in it. Nice people but cannot recommend because of conditions in kitchen.

Okay, where to begin. I had been driving for about 12 and 1/2 hours straight and hadn't had…read moreanything since 9:00 a.m.. I was super hungry, and once I found my hotel I was pleased to find there was a restaurant right next door. So I thought I would go check it out When I walked in, this place definitely had a dive biker bar feel to it, but it was super packed for a Tuesday night. The lady behind the bar said sit wherever I'd like and she'd be right with me. It took her a little while to get to me as the place was pretty bumping so I can't fault her for that. She came up to the table and asked me what I'd like. I ordered the three sirloin tacos and an iced tea. She brought out the iced tea, and I had some chips and salsa while I waited. In fact, they tasted like they were bought a store, the real star was the salsa which was completely homemade and had a definite kick to it! I sat there for quite a while waiting for my tacos, after about 15 or 20 minutes she came by and said my tacos would be right out and got me a refill of my tea and some more chips. About another 10 minutes later the tacos finally arrived. They were served on one of those hot fajita plates.. well the style is correct, the plate itself was not hot. In fact, all of the food was lukewarm. Kind of disappointing when I was super starving, but I thought you know what. Let's at least give it a go. Aside from the food not being hot, the meat really did not have the flavor I was hoping for. I added the cilantro and Pico de gallo to the tacos. Hoping that would spice it up a little bit, but I was sorely mistaken. I ended up adding the green onion and some of the salsa from the chips and that at least gave it some kick. Even more disappointing was the rice and beans being lukewarm. My guess is they had my plate made at least 15 minutes ago and it just sat on the counter and no one picked it up. Sad, cuz I really wanted to like this place. At the end of the meal I sat there waiting for the check, and it didn't come. All of my chips and sat there with my wallet and credit card. Hoping to catch someone's attention. My server finally came over and apologized and took my card. A little while later she came back and said have a great evening. Was it all bad? No, it was not. I looked around at the other customers who seemed to be really enjoying the food so I'm just wondering if I caught a bad dish. Bottom line? I doubt that I'll ever come back here, but if I do I will be sure to report back to all of my friends in Yelpland and see if this place made it improvement.

"Good spot for a quick bite"…read more Decided to try Mr Poncho today! Me and my party were in the area today sight seeing the museum and chapel. On our way out of town we decided to stop by Mr Poncho! For starters the entrance was through the kitchen. That made me laugh but knowing that this establishment was probably being ran by someone's family, I didn't care all that much. If you're looking for something more professional then go somewhere else. The atmosphere was very random. The walls had all sorts of random decorations ranging from Mexican oil paintings to a sign of the "founding fathers" that really wasn't the founding fathers. That gave me a good laugh. Decorations just didn't make sense but again. I had a feeling I knew what we were getting ourselves into. The server was nice and very friendly. Not mean or aggressive at all. He was sure to get our orders right and stayed friendly. Thank you! The food itself wasn't bad either. I enjoyed the fact that my tacos were not dripping in grease or oil. They were not super flavorful to be honest. Nothing mouth watering over but they were good tacos. The rice was super plain but I did enjoy the refried beans. They didn't take long at all to make our food. The price range too seemed fair. Nothing expensive at all but definitely not a steal. Just your average pricing. Everyone in my party said their food was good. Nothing fantastic, not a hidden gem. But just simply good. And that's alright with me. Would I go out of my way to have this again? No. But if I'm in the area I might stop by again. Thank you for the hospitality and quickness!
