Our party of 5 had a reservation which they asked for when we walked in, even tho we were early and the restaurant was empty. The menu is printed in Italian on one page and English on the other sinus easy to follow We ordered the burrata salad made from heirloom tomatoes and it was delicious with oil and balsamic vinegar. The soup had mixed reviews: one of us loved it while the other didn't. The eggplant Parmesan was flavorful as was the lasagne bolognese. Vermentino wine and house red were very drinkable. Note: a cover charge of 3 Euro per person is applied automatically to one's tab. Wines are available by the glass, half-liter, or the bottle. The staff was prompt, friendly and spoke English quite well. We assumed they deal with many English-speaking diners/tourists. We ordered one tomato caprese. The burrata mozzarella was primo. My beef agnello with orange sauce was great with fennel. It was the most tender meat I've eaten in a while. My bro had a lamb dish that was also excellent. This is a fairly upscale ristorante in Santa Margherita Ligure. My brother and I stopped in on a Thursday night for dining al fresco. Situated in a piazza, it is interesting to see people of all stripes walking by. Even though the food is of a good caliber and the ristorante is in a resort area, I found prices to be a bit cheaper than those at home for comparable quality. All the wait staff we encountered speak English and ours was quite personable. We ordered a burrata salad which was quite fresh and delicious; see attached pic. My entrée was a marinated and baked lamb chop with potatoes. This too was very good with the exception that the thinner parts of the chop were a bit dry. First night and couldn't have been lovelier than sitting on their patio and watching a glorious sunset and the passerbys. Pasta is outstanding. Right amount of tenderness and texture in the ribbons and flat noodles. Lasagna is not lasagna. It's the most incredible pasta ribbons tossed in pesto that feels like the basil was just picked and crushed. Bolognese excellent too. Tuna gelato cones had very fresh tasty tuna. Don't plan on sharing. They're tiny. Caprese and octopus done perfectly and good for sharing. read more

This place is rated best of breed on trip advisor for Santa Margherita Ligure. We took that rec and went last week and I discovered something that to my utter dismay I cannot get in California. Have the Beef Voronoff. It's a filet mignon covered in a sauce so delectable I literally mopped the remains with my bread until nothing remained. It's a concoction with a mustard base, cognac, green peppercorns, cream and god knows what else. I rarely put a sauce on a good steak but this is to die for. I've searched the menus of every italian restaurant in San Francisco since my return and nobody has this on the menu, although it's fairly common in Italy. We started with a linguine scampi dish which was also excellent. Service was A + Location was not in along the touristy beach but up the narrow alleys of downtown santa Margherita a short ways. Come back the next to Delphino for the best pizza in the area as well. read more

Delicious. One of the best meals I've eaten, 8 days into my vacation in Italy. We started with the Arancini (risotto balls), and prawn carpaccio. The prawn carpaccio was like nothing I've ever tasted, it had avocado and a citrusy sauce. Rather incredible. I would advise not to order it if you're not a fan of raw shrimp as it is raw (not cooked like ceviche.) For our first course we shared a fresh stuffed pasta, with a spinach and ricotta filling, in a creamy walnut sauce. To. Die. For. Definitely get it. But the STAND OUT dish was the Lamb Shank. It was falling off the bone, so tender and flavorful. Served with potatoes and a little fresh salad, and topped with a mild sauce and fresh mint. We skipped dessert, as I had my heart set on banana gelato from down the road. My husband ordered 2 drinks and a dessert liqueur and I had a bottle of sparkling water, and the whole meal cost under 80€. One of the less expensive dinners we've eaten in Italy. You would easily pay $35-$40 just for that lamb dish anywhere in the US, and $10 per drink for the gimlet and negroni my husband ordered. Great value. read more

We came here for our last meal in Italy and had an amazing time. The experience is definitely deserve a five stars. We came without reservations and they were able to accommodate us. The atmosphere is very intimate and romantic. There are about 10 tables in this restaurant. Not ideal for a big group of people. The staff was exceptional. Friendly, helpful, and warm! As for the food, we loved everything we ordered. I ordered the steak with some sort of green sauce. It was very good. I normally don't care or want my steak to soak in sauces but this place does it nicely. My colleagues ordered a couple dishes of pasta. They were delicious. It has been a while since I feel like hugging the servers for a wonderful meal. And that is how I feel with this restaurant. read more

Ravioli shell was very lightly fried vs boiled...more like a pastry shell than a pasta shell and no marinara sauce. We really liked it. For dinner my wife had fish I had Lamb Shank, both perfectly cooked. Finished off the evening with dessert, coffee and Limoncello. Pricing was very reasonable for the area. Last nite in San Margret,used yelp to find a good restaurant. Within walking distance of Lido hotel. At first we thought we needed reservations, but it was cool and we sat on the outside. Very busy place for good reason. The staff a genuinely nice, doing their best to accommodate you. Elisa was our waitress, who we were very impressed with. I feel they have a low turnover of staff. The food is fresh, delicious and very reasonably priced. My GF had the house special Ravioli, which she is still raving about. I would recommend this to everyone who stays close by. It would be also a great idea to make a reservation especially on weekends and busy periods. read more

Delicious meal here on our last night in Santa Margherita. Would definitely recommend the Arancini balls and Bruschetta for starters. I didn't really like my saffron gnocchi because it had those massive shell-on prawns with a face lol so if that's your thing then you'll love this dish! My partner's dish was so FABULOUS that I have honestly been searching for a recipe like it for the last 2 weeks. It was the Taglierini alla ragu (bolognese). It is definitely a must-try by all!
