Every criteria we had was met and exceeded: we wanted Maggie to feel no fear, to have unhurried time with her, to have a clear understanding of what was going to happen, to say goodbye on our terms. Maggie simply and immediately accepted Dr. Kriner's presence, decided she welcomed pets and affection from this sweet person she had never met. The only focus was Maggie, to have her feel complete love surrounding her, to let her enjoy cheeseburgers and chocolate, pets, hugs, kisses, many words of love, to make certain she knew exactly how special she was and always would be and that we were grateful for her life with us. There is no avoiding how heartbreaking a time it is, but to have a precious fur baby handled with love, calmness, gentleness, respect and care is an enormous comfort. Every single appointment we have had with Dr. Gilham has been truly awful, she does not read our pets history, has misdiagnosed her, claimed she had visible cancer masses then immediately tested her (surprise, they weren't cancerous) and pushed medications that our dog was allergic to that she previously prescribed. However, the appointments we have had with Dr. Stone have been truly incredible. She will get on the floor with your dog and shower them with love and attention and takes all of your concerns into consideration. She is truly amazing and I adore the care she gives to our animals. Dr. Lexi Meverden is newer to us but has been truly amazing as well. I cannot say enough good things about her or Dr. Gilbertson.

Went to fill the heartworm medicine and Red Barn DECLINED BOTH simply because ONLY ONE of them was due for heartworm test next month????? Just had them in on Feb. 27th for wellness exams and shots. Brought TWO fecal samples. Why didn't they test then like every other vet? The answer is because this way they could force us in again and their prices have increased. I didn't even realize they weren't done. WHY DID I GET TWO 12 MTH. SCRIPTS FOR INTERCEPTOR if they weren't done??? Who the heck do they think they are canceling BOTH scripts when only one dog is due? Who does that? This office "manager" and front office girls could give a crap about the pets. What were they going to do I was going to bring my one dog in and then they suddenly would give me two prescriptions one for each dog or were they going to force me to bring both in? I wouldn't go back to this place if you paid me in 10 months from April 2023 to February 2024 I spent over $3,800 with them. They should get rid of these women who could give a darn about the pets and get vet techs for the front office like all the other vets do. They're cheaper, less freaking attitude, and they love animals. This so-called office manager didn't comply when I requested the doctor call me and I could think of quite a few different ways she could handle this so much better which would have stayed within the guidelines of Red Barn but most importantly would have kept my pets heartworm medicine!!!!!! FOLLOW UP NOW 5 DAYS LATER I just went on to take screenshots of my 12-month prescriptions and I see that they just issued one month for both dogs without calling me because they saw one of the reviews I left and this way they could write that they do care about the animals. What a joke!!! How the heck was I supposed to know the scripts were even there. They're just trying to cover their butts. Be careful if you go here honestly find a different vet there's so many good ones out there I simply went to them because they were conveniently close which was a big big mistake. The nickel dime you to death. Make sure when you bring in fecal samples they do something with them. Also, just talked to Covetrus and they were told that both of my dogs were due for heartworm testing which is a blatant lie.

Her explanation was that he was under care by the specialist; I should take him back to the doctor. But I explained that they told me I could take him to his primary doctor. From there, the conversation has turned ugly! The representative was very rude! She was arrogant, spoke over me, and extremely unprofessional. I called to the hospital where he was treated. They did not understand why this doctor has turned me away. He can be examined by my primary one. Why did they accept the appointment in the first place then? I had to leave my work just to take him in, and at the very last moment, they refused. Their rudeness (it has been going on for a long time) is not just one thing. Their ridiculous or overcharging fees are taking a toll on me. I had enough. From now on, I must take all of my beloved fur babies to another animal hospital.

Her nutritional and medical advice is superb. She did not suggest any unnecessary tests, she asks the right questions, she makes some good nutritional recommendations. I appreciated the handout she gave me for approved raw and grain-free food. I have referenced this handout several times when seeking out different options for food. I find her very compassionate about animals and holistic treatments. She is compassionate about what is put in pet food, I got quite an education about what is in some commercial products. I've found their front desk reception staff to be pleasant and helpful every visit, and also when I call. I have called to make appointments and to order a supplement, which they shipped to me (I appreciated not having to drive an hour there and back to get it). Yes, when you book a first time appointment it takes a couple months to get in with Dr. Grant. She is very popular. When I needed a more urgent visit I was able to book an emergency visit for approximately $100. As long as the staff disclosed this amount and why, I was fine with it. I saw they have boarding, the cats that were in the cat boarding looked pretty happy and it appeared to be clean and tidy in the boarding room.
