Dr. Fagerness cares deeply for all animals and we have been going to him for 25+ years, my parents started going to him and we have ever since. Yesterday we had our dog in to see him after a grooming incident. Dr. Fagerness took such care of our dog and didn't hurry us out. He ran his practice out of his home, and was close to retirement. So I would bring Andy to Andover Animal Hospital when he was having a hard time. They were amazing. They were able to get him seen quickly and took his health problems very seriously and recommended a cardiologist at the U of M, as his condition required a specialist. I was really impressed with the way they handled everything the few times Andy was seen there. I now bring my current pup there for everything since 2017, it is his primary place for care. They are always so wonderful. Pricing is not through the roof like most places, they don't nickel and dime you like a lot of places too. I have been very happy with the care here. The one and only complaint is the way their computer system works. If I bring him in due to illness or something completely unrelated to his annual exam, their computer system automatically changes the date he is next due for his annual. Right now his chart says he isn't due for his annual until November. However, he was due for his vaccines in January of this year. They no longer send out reminders either, So now he is 4 months overdue because his annual exam due date and his vaccine dates no longer match. Its just frustrating because it makes things way harder to keep track of. Other than that, I love this place!

The girl that answered the phone said "Oh we know, Blue Pearl told us what happened" and that was it. No, I'm very sorry to hear what happened or anything. Our dog went there her whole life, I was in tears and there was nothing from them. She couldn't get off the phone fast enough. I was already thinking of going to a new vet because i felt they had lost their personal touch but this just solidified it. Pets are part of the family but I don't feel they think the same way any longer. The emergency vet Blue Pearl couldn't have been any better to our family during this heartbreaking time.

Our current story - Our dog was suffering with skin…read moreinfections for 8 of her 9 years, lost her undercoat, scratching and losing hair constantly, and had a very weepy eye. We had taken her to a (different) vet that was close to our home, they said the eye was due to ingrown hairs and recommended we see an (expensive) eye specialist, and for the infections they chocked it up to a low immune system that she'd have to live with. I finally (years too long) got fed up, and took her to VCA Pineridge - and within a month they had resolved her eye and skin issues, she is on the mend. It was just severe allergies that had to be addressed. No specialty eye doctor, no more wasted/failed treatments. Our dog now has a healthy top and under coat, she isn't suffering anymore, she's one happy pooch. Pineridge has such caring staff - you can tell they love animals, and show they really care about their clients too. Dr Hartmann and Dr Bear are outstanding. Yes, they were slightly more expensive than the other vet, but quality of care is worth it.

The vet and the nurses at this animal hospital went above and beyond to take care of me. Most people think that he was just a rodent. Not this place! They were empathetic and understanding, and gave me a safe and welcoming place to say goodbye to my best friend. I adopted my handsome greyhound from Northern Lights about 8 months ago. I have been blown away by the love and compassion provided from every employee at this clinic. I get phone calls from the clinic just to follow up and see how my dog is doing. They have covered ALL fees for anything pre-existing before the adoption such as the removal of a broken canine tooth. They even offered to keep my dog overnight after surgery just as a courtesy and peace of mind for us. Overall this is such a wonderful clinic. I am so happy with my greyhound adoption and the clinic we connected with in the process.

Finally the doctor came in and was asking me the same list of questions and refused to put her to sleep. Apparently they feel like her issue of peeing around the house could be fixed with testing and blah blah blah; it's an avenue we didn't want to go down but they wouldn't budge. The only option other than taking her back home (which we weren't going to do) was to surrender her to them. The only good that came out of all of this was that it didn't cost us anything. But this whole issue was never about money. It's about keeping our house free from urine and getting closure on a loved one that was with us for 9 years. Now who knows what will happen. That sometimes can tend to be even more emotional that putting a cat to sleep. I would not recommend this clinic. It has changed since Dr. Gouck (sp) sold the business.

My cat had a bathroom accident in her crate from feeling so anxious on the drive, which has never happened before, they cleaned her up and her crate for me and recommended some possible options for anxiety for cats.
