I don't like to invest energy on negative critics but this time it is my responsibility to warn everyone who loves their pets to please keep away from this practitioner; seek other professionals. This service was unethical and a steal of money. Two weeks ago I took my 14 y/o yorkie to this clinic because I totally believe in natural medicine and holistic practices. The primary reason for my visit was the tumors she has. Prior the visit they explained me the first visit last two hours. I scheduled my time accordingly. The day of the visit they took my dog into a room to perform a "frequency test"while I'm another room where they showed me two old videos from the 60s on which the sound was not even working and the data was completely out of date. After the two hours I had to let them know that I needed to leave. The 2 assistants gave me around 10 supplements and changed my dogs diet. I started asking questions about the why and what for of each of the supplements and they started getting defensive. After I asked how those supplements will help my dog with the tumors, all If the sudden I heard the voice of the veterinarian coming out of the phone. They've got me on speaker with the vet without telling me while she was in the room next to us ! Why she didn't show up personally to answer my doubts? After all, I paid her $480 for her consultation. After the visits for two weeks I gave my dog the supplements and the diet following the instructions she advised and my dog developed gastritis. I went personally to the office to ask for a solution and they said they have no idea of what was wrong. I have been taking my maltipoo to Dr Kordon for two years since moving to Naples. He is 12 years old and in good health for an adult rescue and I want to keep him that way as long as possible. I use many supplements myself due to allergies and chemical sensitivities and I wanted to see a holistic veterinarian for my dog because I suspected he had the same problems. He scratched all the time and would occasionally cough or throw up, despite my efforts to restrict his diet. (I had already eliminated grains, which are common allergens, from his diet and was supplementing his meals with raw chicken and beef.) After initial testing at AHO, I found out Connor was allergic to chicken and beef - which never occurred to me - in addition to many other things. With the changes to a totally raw foods diet and the addition of prescribed supplements, he rarely has those problems now, except for occasional itching/scratching which goes with the territory for this breed's sensitive skin. I also wanted to eliminate vaccinations and chemical treatments for Connor as much as possible, and use diet and supplements as the bulk of his care/treatment plan, and I wanted a veterinarian that felt the same way. My previous maltese mix had died at 13 - young for that breed - blind and deaf and suffering from Cushing's disease, all of which can be caused/exacerbated by toxic vax, pharmaceuticals and flea control treatments. An important requirement for me is that vaccination doses are adjusted for the size of the dog - which is almost never done by conventional veterinarians. Most people don't know that manufacturers recommend a one-size-fits-all dose for vaccines and that most vets simply follow this guideline without question - meaning a 14-lb dog receives the same amount of vaccine as a 140-lb dog with each shot - and this is usually repeated year after year, and that as a result, many small dogs suffer more unnecessary health problems and early death due to over-vaccination. Plus, dog owners are never told that after the first year or two of vaccinations, most dogs develop immunity to the diseases they prevent, so further vax are not usually necessary; this immunity can easily be verified by annual tests for confirmation which are routinely done with a holistic vet like Dr Kordon. The bio-resonance treatments which clear him of EMF effects, which he receives during office visits, are a positive bonus especially if you live in apartments or condos, which are generally swimming in dirty electricity and wifi frequencies. I can't speak to the other reviewer's experience - there really IS no way to know where her dog picked up an infection, if he simply had reactions to the new foods/regimen or if it was just a coincidence. My dog has never gotten sick after a visit, and I have never felt bullied by staff...in fact, they have been very accommodating to me. I will admit that Dr Kordon's teutonic pet-side manner with owners can be abrupt at times and takes a little getting used to, but I do encourage pet owners to be proactive during their visits with their pets, meaning VOLUNTEER all the info about symptoms and problems and ASK questions if you don't know or understand something - like you would with your own doctor. Physicians are not mind readers and pets can't talk for themselves. To sum up, Dr Kordon fit the bill for the care I was seeking for Connor, and due to the customized treatment he receives at Animal Health Oasis, he is nearly as perky as he was when I got him 6 years ago - in fact, everyone is amazed when I tell them his age. We have been taking our two dogs, Beau (13) and Yogi (9), to Dr. Kordon for several years now, and have been very happy. We began going for advice on how to improve health, diet and nutrition, minimize vaccines, and patient education. Dr. Kordon has come through on all fronts. We have a regular vet, too, for office procedures that Dr. Kordon does not do, and we are told every time that for their ages, Beau and Yogi are in incredibly good health and shape. I had my first appointment with Dr Kordon about a month ago. I put my dog on her diet and supplement prescription for one day and he threw up to the point of dry heaving. Then I called and they said to change from the raw turkey to the freeze dried food, but no visit required. He did get a little better but never stopped throwing up. I went back for a 3 week appointment and his anal glands were so full and swollen that they were hard. She expressed them and told me that she thought I had fed him cheese and that was the cause of him getting so sick. I used to feed him cheese (about 2 bites every day) as a treat but nothing bad ever happened. Now she blames the cheese and maybe that I am giving him something from my body bacterias. He is 10 years old and has never been sick like this. Dr Kordon did not test for bacterias or any infections that day. 2 days later, my dog was doing so bad that I took him to a regular vet and his white cells were thru the roof from infection. It is obviously caused from the first visit to Dr Kordon, but she will make every excuse in the book that he got it somewhere else and her vet assistant even told me over the phone that I cant prove it was their office that he got sick from. True at this point, and this is how they get away with it every time. Bully the clients in order to keep the money. Don't go to this vet. read more
