Our Mona was attacked by another dog today in the morning ;( and we came here for the first time ... I can't say enough good things about this place. Dr. Thompson was absolutely amazing -- calm, compassionate, and so gentle with our Mona. She took time to explain everything and made sure we understood the treatment plan. You can really feel she cares about animals, not just doing her job. Aleisha at the front desk was an angel. Even though the clinic was busy, she stayed patient, kind, and kept us updated. She made the whole stressful visit so much easier. Thank you guys for being so professional and kind -- you truly helped us through a scary moment. Highly recommend this clinic if you need urgent care for your pet!

Animal Urgent Care is a trustworthy and reliable place for pet care! I've taken my dog, Betty to get treatment and they were very friendly and helpful! The FOH staff is really sweet. Unfortunately, I had to put sweet Betty to sleep. A few weeks later, I received a sympathy card signed by everyone at Animal Urgent Care! A very kind gesture, it shows that they really care for our babies. I'd recommend this place for anyone looking for veterinary care!

They were very respectful, very patient as I said goodbye to my sweet Sofia. It was hard, but they certainly made it more compassionate.

The explained the procedure, took him to install a catheter and brought him back. Again we were told to take as long as we needed. The procedure took less than a minute and I held him the entire time. It was quiet and painless (for him). After they gave me a paw print imprint and hair clippings (which my friend is going to make jewelry out of) I left without paying! I didn't even realize it until a few hours later and when I called to apologize (and pay) they were so understanding and friendly. The only negative thing I can say is that the parking lot is kind of small and this vet seems to be very popular. It's not a vet visit I hope you never need to go through, but if you are in a situation in which you need to, this is the gentlest space with sweetest, kindest staff.

At my May 19 consultation, I specifically explained that I was having surgery myself on May 20 and asked whether my dog's surgery could be postponed for 2 weeks. Dr. Biggo recommended surgery sooner rather than later. Based on that recommendation, I moved forward with pre-operative testing on May 24 despite recovering from my own surgery. Only after completing the pre-operative procedures was I informed that Dr. Biggo would be out of town and that the earliest surgery date available was June 17. Because timing was a central part of our discussion, I believe Dr. Biggo's upcoming absence and inability to perform surgery for almost a month should have been disclosed from the beginning so I could make an informed decision about my dog's care.

A special shoutout to Lindsay, who went above and beyond--taking the time to walk me through his follow-up care, explain the doctors' notes, and make sure I fully understood his treatment plan both during and after our visits. That level of attentiveness meant a lot. While my dog's condition isn't curable, his quality of life has improved so much--he's back to being playful and happy, which is everything I could hope for. DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE!…read more My dog experienced a sudden medical emergency where he was unable to stand or walk. He has a history of IVDD, but this episode was very different from his previous flareups. He was crying in pain, and I was extremely concerned. Before heading to LAASER, I called ahead and explained the situation. I was told it sounded urgent and that my dog would most likely be seen right away. Unfortunately, that was not the case. We arrived around 1:00 PM, and after they took him to the back, I sat in the waiting room for over TWO HOURS with absolutely no updates or communication. I finally had to approach the front desk myself to ask what was going on, only to be told he still hadn't been seen by a veterinarian and that it could be another hour or more. At that point, I was beyond frustrated. Why tell pet owners to rush in for an emergency if there is no urgency once you arrive? It honestly felt misleading and incredibly insensitive, especially considering the condition my dog was in. After waiting more than FOUR HOURS, a vet finally examined him and stated they couldn't immediately determine the issue, suggesting X-rays for further evaluation. I signed the paperwork, paid a very expensive bill, and then waited another 2-3 HOURS for results. After having him there for over SEVEN HOURS, we left the same way we came in. He was still unable to use his back leg, not really able to walk, still in pain and not able to determine what was wrong with him. I had so many unanswered questions and left heartbroken not knowing what was wrong with him. I was not given any information on rehabilitation or treatment for his condition, but he was prescribed with pain medication and I was told if he doesn't show improvement within a week, to call and perhaps I should consider getting him an MRI. I didn't feel comfortable leaving without knowing what was wrong with him, so l later decided to go to his regular doctor for a second opinion and she was able to give me a diagnosis. His doctor asked if I could have LAASER send his discharge paperwork, along with his medical records and x-rays to her. That was another frustration to deal with, it took 5 days to obtain everything from LAASER! How and why?! In my 10 years of owning my dog and dealing with ongoing health issues, this was by far the WORST veterinary experience I have ever had. The lack of communication, urgency, compassion, and overall organization was unacceptable. I understand emergency clinics can get busy, but basic courtesy updates and realistic wait time expectations should be the bare minimum. The only positive note I can give is that the front desk staff were very patient, understanding and courteous despite the fact that they were busy. I just wish they would have been more transparent. With that being said, save yourself the stress, time, money, and heartbreak by researching other emergency vet options before bringing your pet here.

He had been in a slow decline that suddenly turned rapid, and I knew we were at the end. What stood out most was the veterinarian's honesty. They checked his vitals, but we didn't pursue extensive diagnostics. Instead, he spoke candidly about what he was seeing--neurologically, Baxter was not himself and had clearly lost significant muscle mass. At his age, there was likely more going on than one treatable issue. The veterinarian could have easily recommended a long list of tests. Instead, he gave me real guidance. When I asked what he would do if it were his own dog, he told me he would choose euthanasia at this stage, explaining that "a day or a week too early is better than a day too late" to avoid unnecessary suffering. I had been struggling with this decision for a while, and that honesty helped me feel confident I was doing the right thing. It meant everything. Once I made the decision, the compassion from the staff was incredible. They handled everything with such care, dignity, and kindness. I've also been here before when Baxter was first diagnosed with heart failure, and had the same experience. The veterinarian literally told me it wasn't an emergency and that I could either proceed with treatment there or follow up with my regular vet the next day and save the cost of emergency care. That level of transparency really stuck with me. I'm truly grateful for this team and this office. If you're ever in a difficult situation with your pet, this is a place where you'll receive honest, compassionate care--not pressure to run unnecessary tests or take advantage of a vulnerable moment. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Howard was extremely disappointing. I found her to be rude, impatient, and dismissive. Every question felt like an inconvenience, and instead of feeling supported, I felt rushed and judged during an already heartbreaking situation. I understand that veterinarians have demanding jobs and see difficult cases every day. But for pet owners, these are not just cases, they are family members. A little kindness and empathy can make a huge difference when someone is facing the possible loss of a beloved pet. Afterward, we sought a second opinion from another veterinarian. After reviewing my cat's case, that veterinarian raised concerns about some of Dr. Howard's medical decisions and approach to treatment. Dr Ravi did the surgery and we appreciated the follow-up. Dr Lee and Dr Kerr also provided great support. Because Byron has IBD his symptoms could have been dismissed as part of his condition. When signing the documents for ashes I specified 5 times that I wanted my cats ashes back, she was so upset she wasn't paying attention and charged me about 400 and I told her I want my cats ashes back you are billing me incorrectly and so she corrected the mistake. Fast forward weeks I never received my cat back, I called the clinic and they kept avoiding me I requested a call back from the manager. So he called me back and before I got a chance to greet him he was attacking me saying that I better be professional and stay calm, he was so unbelievably aggressive it's disgusting. Then he told me I would be getting a refund of 50 dollars because I was billed incorrectly. . .i said you didn't bill me incorrectly you billed me for my cats ashes that I requested to receive and he started getting upset saying no that it was only a billing issue. I never got my cat back and he was only a baby. To know that he was burn and his ashes mixed with all the other unclaimed pets pains every day. I sincerely wish the absolute worst to the manager and every terrible person at that place. Please listen to all the bad reviews!!!
