My Mom and I came to try on bridal dresses and this was my first appointment doing this so it was exciting and a bit nerve wracking because I didn't know what types of dresses I liked or what I'd look good in so we kind of went in blind. Makayla was really great! She asked so many questions and got so much detail about what I liked and didn't like. She took her time with us and that meant the world. She really was a great consultant wo be paired with for my first time trying on wedding dresses. Unfortunately I did not have a good experience here when I came back in January. Their instagram/website showcases so many beautiful gowns. Be prepared they don't have even a quarter of the gowns that they advertise. Before my appointment I emailed the exact gowns I wanted to try on. They had maybe 4 of the 15 that I listed. They didn't look anything in person like they did on the website. I get it everyone's bodies are different than the models but when it comes to coloring and overall look that's a whole other thing. When certain dresses you advertise have a nude underlay vs completely white, it's going to look so different. I think that's where I started getting a little frustrated. I don't know if my girl(Addie) was new but every time I asked about a certain dress, she would spend like 10 minutes looking for it (when I had it listed before my appointment) and then would come back and try and tell me that I had tried it on already, "it just looks different because the photo showed a nude underlay vs in store it was white". I almost didn't believe her because she said it numerous times and the dresses looked completely different. I also told her in the beginning I liked the look of a neck scarf. She searched for another 10 minutes looking for one and came back with "I can't find one, let's wrap this veil around your neck, it'll give the same look" the veil is so thick, it covered my whole neck, I couldn't even try and picture the dress with the makeshift "neck scarf". Like neck scarfs are the trend right now! How aren't there any in the store? The whole appointment just felt so rushed. She tried to give me a veil in every dress. Even the ones I wasn't feeling. And I felt like that took time out of trying on more dresses. I did end up liking 2 dresses but asked if I could try on the last one that I didn't get to try on yet, and she goes "well your appointment time is almost over, I recommend you try on the 2 you're between right now and figure it out or book another appointment" WHEN SHE WAS RUNNING 10 MINUTES BEHIND MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT. I left just feeling really defeated and ignored by what I really wanted. I wouldn't recommend this shop to future brides. read more

I had a fantastic experience at Anjolique Bridal. I was very new to the wedding dress search and Machaela was absolutely incredible to work with. She helped me pick out a wide variety of different types of gown types (at many different price points) and worked with me to help me put into words what I did and didn't like about certain types of gowns. This was immensely helpful as I learned so much more about what worked well on my frame, what fabrics I liked (and didn't like) and what design features were the most important to me. Without her expertise, I would never have been able to put into words what I was really looking for (and why). I would HIGHLY recommend Machaela and the incredible team at Anjolique. My daughter was really excited to visit Anjolique as it was only her second bridal shop experience. Where do we start. 1) the consultant talked with my daughter for a very quick and rushed 2 minutes about what she was looking for and then suggested picking out "10" dresses to get started. She didn't really take the time to know much about my daughter- her style, type of wedding- indoor, outdoor, formal, etc. Clearly the consultant was either inexperience or wanted to get my daughter out of the way so that she could prepare for her other appointments. 2) the consultant wasn't very engaging as she would assist my daughter, very little with putting on dresses and focused more on rehanging dresses after she took them off. we felt really rushed. 3) charged an extra $400-$500 for dress selected; claimed it was due to tariffs. Out of the 4 shops we visited in the Charlotte area, no one else charged for tartiffs. All bridal shops have basically the same dresses and designers. So, we question what the extra money was for. I drove to Cornelius (in the pouring rain) to visit this location this morning. The employees were unprofessional and not very welcoming. When entering the location I was immediately asked if I had an appointment. I did not. (I just wanted to look to see if anything stood out to me.) The young lady stated the next appointment was at 12pm and I asked if I could just look around and she stated yes. I couldn't really see anything since everything was inside of the bags so I decided to leave (there were 3 employees inside the store with two employees sitting down at the desk and did not even even offer any assistance). The employee who was assisting a client with her dress fitting had on a see-through dress with her thong underwear showing (very unprofessional). On my way one of the two employees who were sitting at the desk the entire time asked if I needed any help after I was at the door walking out. I will not be going back. (I typically do not edit my reviews but I believe that there is a miscommunication or a misunderstanding after reading the response from the owner) While I WAS on my cell phone with my mother who is paying for my dress, which shouldn't be an issue plenty of people use their phones when shopping for wedding dresses) I did not have an appointment to "TRY" on dresses, I had an additional person with me (who was not on the phone since that seems to be the issue), there could have been some sort of interaction from the employees who again sat behind the desk the entire time. The duration of my visit was based on the customer service that I was NOT provided and once I decided to leave the store after I realized they would not ask any questions or come from behind the counter to ask if there was something specific that I was looking for, they decided to ask if there was anything they could help me with, ON MY WAY OUT OF THE DOOR. RESPONSE TO ANJOLIQUE Long story short- I got married July 31st at The Ballantyne Hotel. The dress we purchased at Anjoliques was unable to be tailored after going to several places (the kicker is that they recommended these places) so my mother wasted over $500 due to their lack of knowledge. Their reply is a lie and they should be ashamed of themselves. Their selection is small and they mentioned they'll be getting rid of mother dresses. This was the first bridal boutique I visited. My advice is to schedule an appointment at another boutique the same day so you get a better feel of what it's like to shop for gowns. Prices were great. However I'm a size 12, and I informed them of this before arriving. However, the stylist spent our whole session squeezing me into dresses because I didn't know that is more like an 18 in bridal sizing. This was my first day shopping for a wedding dress. I had 2 prior appointments with 2 other bridal stores that morning, and I wasn't really in love with the dresses I tried on. I found my dream dress here!! Service - I called first, an hour and a half prior to closing and they were nice enough to have some time for me. (I let them know I knew what style of dress I was looking for). I had Taylor as my consultant. She understood right away what my style was, she was very helpful and understanding about my needs and wants when I tried on dresses. Super sweet girl and made me feel comfortable. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Amelia from Anjolique Bridal. I fell in love with a dress online and scheduled an appointment to try on the dress in NYC (since I live right outside of the city). Two weeks before my appointment, the NYC shop called and told me the dress won't be in stock and they don't anticipate receiving it again. I did some research and found that only two other shops in the USA carry this specific dress designer, Anjolique being one of the shops. I called and filled them in on my issue. Anjolique didn't have the dress either, but reassured me that they could place an order for it (which NYC did not tell me; they just allowed me to cancel my appointment without offering any other options). I worked with Amelia, who was super accessible and answered all of my (frenzied) questions in a timely manner. She let me know there was a similar "sister" dress that I could try on to get an idea of how my dream dress would look. So I did try on the sister dress in NYC, got the idea and confirmed I do need the dream dress. Amelia let me know that Anjolique could beat NYC's price by approx $600! (including tax). It was a no brainer to order my dream dress from Anjolique - they made the process so easy for me as an out-of-state bride. And the dress will be shipped right to my home. I have contacted them 4 separate times to confirm details about a particular gown and have yet to receive a follow up email or phone call. Since I'm a plus size bride I wanted to ensure that they at least had samples in the boutique for me to try. I have left a message, weeks later called and spoke to an employee who took a message with a promise to return my call, I've submitted a form on your site and sent an email. It's been over a year. This was my 5th....yes FIFTH store I visited to get my wedding dress. Claire assisted me, and she was so welcoming and awesome!! With time ticking and my wedding a little short of 9 months away, I needed to find a dress. I had been hunting an Allure Couture wedding dress down for months. All of the stores who had it on their website no longer carried it. I even asked someone at Anjolique's if they had it & they said they no longer had it. Imagine my surprise when I came in, and Claire already had it pulled for me!! I saved the dress for last, and tried on other dresses and none compared. The sample of my dream dress didn't fit at all, so Claire put it on a mannequin. Then, she suggested my sister try it on and I would have never thought of that!! Definitely one of the best bridal experiences I've had. Top notch service, and fast!! I cannot WAIT to see my dress!! My wedding is March 10, 2017. It is now February 11. 2017 and the dress I ordered is unsatisfactory to say the very least. I left 20 minutes ago in tears, with no resolution and absolute worst customer service ever. On February 27, 2016 I ordered a Madison James MJ212 gown and veil. The day of was seamless, and I received phenomenal customer service That is the last nice thing I will say about this establishment. Below is my response to owners new comment made on 3/31/17-three weeks after my wedding. (The previous review was made 2/11/17, and had not been updated except to remove a particular managers name): Ma'am I would encourage you not to lie about something as simple and verifiable about what your establishment recommended (which was a size 2), and we both have the same documentation stating such ( i.e. Special Order Bridal Gown Contract and Order Authorization signed 02/27/2017). My wedding has passed, and this matter was allegedly resolved for over a month now. To post a new comment and make false statements, and twits words to make your business look better, while simultaneously calling me a liar will certainly only thwart potential customers away. Yes we received a refund, and it was rightfully so. We had to fight for it, Maria, you did not immediately offer a refund as you are trying to make it seem. Everything that I stated earlier still stands. I would never lie about an experience, nor would I waste my time arguing with an individual, but the manner in which you consistently speak to dissatisfied customers (as anyone can verify throughout Yelp or any other review platform) is completely unacceptable, and disrespectful. This is a matter of principle, and not allowing people or businesses to bully or to belittle my experience. It is a shame after agreeing to resolve the situation, you chose to re-ignite unnecessary drama. Lest I remind you that you attempted to silence your customer (myself) by requesting the following contractual statement: "In accepting this return, I agree that this settles all disputes both now and in the future and that I will not disparage Anjolique or its employees in any way either verbally or in print, including social media." The original review was filed Feb 11, 2017. I did not update the review until April and did not receive word of getting a refund until after my father went back and forth with the owner for over a week via telephone. Until I filed the BBB complaint, there was no communication, let alone a mention of refund. Additionally, Maria had claimed that me crying was overreactive and unnecessary and that it was a simple alteration modification to make the dress fit appropriately. Now she is stating that they decided it was deemed unsatisfactory by Anjolique. All of this is verified and documented in the pictures attached, thereby refuting The owner's false accusations. I accidentally came across their website via a Google search and took a 12 hr. day trip to visit the store and YES IT WAS SO WORTH IT. I had been to 6+ stores and tried on at least 60 dresses. Here's why they're the best and deserve their own TV show: 1. Everyone is SO nice, including Anjolique herself. My stylist was Claire and she was such a ray of positive energy. She did all she could to help me find my dress - pretty sure she even spent her time off between appointments with me. 2. I mean seriously just look at the size of the place. It's HUGE and full of designer dresses, as well as affordable ones. They have the best mix and largest selection of couture and affordable dresses I've ever seen. 3. The entire atmosphere makes you feel like a true princess. The staff are so nice and never stop smiling. They give you the focus and attention you need to find that dress you've been searching for. They send a pre-appointment questionnaire and ask even more questions in person so they truly understand your style. 4. It's super clean and the interior design is so glamorous. Especially given COVID this was really important. Hand sanitizer station at the front and the store was so large it was perfect for social distancing. 5. They will go the extra mile. You want a detachable train? Done. You want to add beading - they'll make it happen. They will do whatever it takes to make sure your dream dress is perfected to the way you imagined it - and they're excited to do that for you. You can tell their staff is passionate about making clients happy. Truly I would recommend this store to anyone - I would even say it is worth a trip from California. I got married 2018. Straight to the point: Head Seamstress Ruined my almost 8k designer dress! I paid my dress in full way before deadline. I came from out of state to this place frequently because they recommended their seamstress for designers because of her experience. 1. I had my dress made - gave specifications to the shop to have made. It came back wrong. 2. thought I could still work with it, and had the seamstress tailor it. SHE BUTCHERED it. It was in rags when I received it. I had to take it to a local seamstress at home and pay ON TOP of everything to have it salvaged. I have photos of the disaster as proof. They offered no help, no understanding, and no assistance. They tried to get me to sign a paper stating that I was happy with MY dress in order to take it from there. I no doubt said absolutely not and TOOK my dress out or what was left of it, out of there without signing any bogus paper for their benefit. TERRIBLE PLACE. Owner was terrible and snotty. Staff (with exception to the nice woman that helped my find my dress) was unhelpful and unapologetic. ABSOLUTELY HORRID experience. If I could go back and NEVER get my dress there I would. So this was my 3rd dress shop that I went to. I live in Charlotte and went to a store that was a warehouse type place and then a small boutique. I came here because I wanted the freedom to roam around the store and look through the dresses on my own. I have the personality that I would like to try on all the dresses so I don't fear that I'm missing out. First, I came into the store on a Friday. There was 1-2 other brides. When I first walked in Brooke greeted my mom and I with a smile on her face and was super friendly. An all beaded dress on a mannequin caught my eye. Brooke right away asked if I wanted to try it on. It was priced a little over my budget but I went against my better judgement and tried it on. It was the first dress I tried and fell in love. Again, with wanted to try on alllllll the dresses I went for more. To cut the story short I picked that dress. But for the rest of my customer service: Brooke was so nice and encouraging even though I tried on at least 12 dresses! I never felt rushed or as if she was annoyed because I tried on so many. Brooke even picked a few out that she liked. During the whole time she helped me zip up my dress, added a veil, or other accessories. It was so nice to get the whole "look" for every (12) dress that I tried on. Like I said, I ended up getting the first dress I tried on! When it was time to get the final look for the dress I was about to say yes to the owner Maria said she had a surprise for me. She had me sit down in a chair, had me get in a pretty pose, asked me who my favorite designer was (which was Berta), gave me a pretty flower crown, and then revealed a surprise to me. IT WAS THE DRESS I HAD ON IN THE BERTA MAGAZINE!!!!!!!! She said this dress was designed after that dress in the magazine but at an affordable price. I was in tears. Brooke then got the say yes to the dress sign. It was perfect. Maria also worked with me on a great deal and the dress was just at my price range. I couldn't believe it!! My experience was perfect. Brooke (and all the other employee's) encouraged my mom to try on mother of the bride dresses and were super sweet to her too. Overall my experience was amazing. I bought my wedding dress here (spent over 3K with alterations included) as well as my wedding reception dancing dress here. The service was extremely underwhelming, especially for a bride. I live in New York and I had my wedding in Cornelius so I thought it would be best to buy my dress close to the venue. The staff seemed uninterested in my buying process. There were always 3 women at the front desk at all times and when I walked up they made it seem like I was inconveniencing them. The Ukranian woman who did my alterations was very cold and slightly rude during my alteration process (which I had to fly down for). I understand that they must deal with a lot of younger girls for high school dances so maybe their level of service is lower, but please work on your customer service for brides. Even offering a bottle of cold water would go a long way (which they didn't do). Out of all of my 10 vendors, I worked with for my wedding in Cornelius this was the least impressive. I had a great experience shopping for and getting my dress but unfortunately now am forced to change a better review after some shady and disappointing business practices when it comes to alterations. Anjolique recently changed its policy to require all brides to get a nearly $800 alterations package, even if you don't need or want all of the alterations they offer. They were not straightforward about this policy, are enforcing it even if you purchased your dress before the change (despite the fact that the employee who helped us purchase the dress said alterations would be around $100), and are unhelpful when it comes to refunds they owe. Wedding dress shopping should be exciting, fun, and you should feel BEAUTIFUL. But let me tell you, Anjolique Bridal did the absolute opposite of that. This was my second place of the day that I went to try on wedding dresses. When we walked in, I met my consultant, I really wish that I could remember her name, but I am completely forgetting. She began to ask me what I was looking for in a dress and what my wedding was going to look like. I couldn't get two words out before she cut me off, finished my sentence, and just assumed she knew what I was looking for. I brushed it off and moved on, hoping that when we began to actually try dresses on it would feel a little bit better. Nope. We began to try on dresses and the first thing I noticed was how uncomfortable I felt in the dressing room. Obviously while trying on dresses, you are in your bra and underwear with your consultant (this person that you don't even know). At the place I went to before Anjolique, they had it down to a science. I barely ever felt like I was naked in front of her. I would choose the next dress, and as I was taking that one off, she would get the next one on the ground ready for me to step into and she would pull it up. At Anjolique she had me take off the dress (she'd then throw that previous dress on the floor and leave it there the entire appointment), and then I would just be there in my bra and underwear forever completely exposed. I'd pick out the next dress in my bra and underwear, and then she would have me pull it on by myself. That's not easy to do with a long dress, and the dressing rooms are extremely small! Sometimes she would even walk out of the dressing room and leave the curtain open - while I was still standing there in my bra and underwear!!! Back to her not listening to me, she would begin to ask me about my fiance or what we were planning to do for our wedding. I thought "oh maybe she does care". Nope again. She would interrupt me mid sentence and begin to talk about her own wedding coming up. She also kept throwing the fact that I have a wedding dress budget of $3,000-$5,000 in my face. She put me in multiple dresses that weren't even the style that I wanted just because SHE thought they were beautiful dresses and "so many girls come in here and want this dress but can't afford it. You should love it"... her words, not mine. Whenever I tried on a dress that I was interested in, she always had to make sure that it was known that SHE picked it out. "Oh you like this one? Who picked this one? Oh right, it was me!!!" Again, her words. On top of all of that, she put a veil on me with every single dress. That doesn't make it feel special!! A veil should be put on when you think you have found the one. A veil makes it feel real. When you put one on with every single dress, it defeats the purpose and you're just trying to put one on to make the sale. That doesn't make a bride feel special. I truly felt like just a sale to them at Anjolique. I went to this appointment a couple of weeks ago and still haven't been able to shake the feelings of how I felt that day at Anjolique, so I am writing this review to deter all brides from going there if you are wanting to feel special when searching for your perfect dress. read more

I highly recommend Anjolique Bridal!!! Everyone was very helpful and friendly. I bought the second dress I tried on and my friend who went there bought the first dress she tried on! There are several styles and sizes to try on that range from a high to low pricing range. This was a great experience!!! read more

I said yes to dress at Anjolique! Jennifer, you are a goddess! She kept the dresses coming to keep me happy. She was very helpful in terms of style and hearing what I like. I loved my experience there. The store is also very spacious and beautiful. they have a very broad collection of wedding gowns. Book your appointment! The worst customer service! Our "consultant" didn't listen to what we were looking for, did not know how to bustle a dress, hurried us along and failed to take measurements, and seemed to know very little about wedding dresses. The reason for the two stars is because we did end up finding a dress (even though they didn't have any of the dresses we asked about on the phone prior to going, which they said they had). The woman taking payment was in an extreme hurry to just get us to pay and get us out. When asking questions she didn't want to help us but just quickly shouted replies based on what she liked and wanted rather than explaining and showing us the options she was referring to. I am a relative to the bride, if my wedding I would have walked out. I would stay away from this shop if you can find something elsewhere. The free vacation is not worth the crappy customer service and so called discounts. read more

I have mixed feelings about Anjolique. I went there in March of 2016 to look for dresses. Ann was my consultant and helped me pick out some great dresses. I fell in love with the first one I tried on. I was told the dress came in two colors, Ivory and Champagne (I tried on the Champagne color). While my mom was paying, my friend and I were looking around and happened to find the Ivory color, which I loved and was ordering my dress in. My dress arrived in July. I was so excited for my first fitting! When I first went to try my dress on, I noticed the color seemed more white than I remembered but I brushed it off as bad memory, considering it had been 5 months since I had seen the color. The second time I went in to get it altered, I could not shake the feeling that this was NOT the color I ordered. It took me awhile before I even told my mom (who lives in California) that this was not the color I thought I was getting. Finally one night in September, I broke down and called her in tears that I think they ordered my dress in the wrong color. The next day, I went into Anjolique to express my concern that there was a miscommunication in what color was ordered. I went in obviously very upset, as my wedding was only 2 months away. I explained the situation, that I was told the dress only came in 2 colors, and that since I wasn't ordering the Champagne color I tried on, I thought I was getting the color the other dress on the rack was in. The lady at the front desk seemed very concerned and went to get Amelia. Amelia initially was patient, but didn't offer any real solutions to the problem. It was too late to order a new one and get it in time for my wedding, so she offered a $300 store credit for accessories. I had already purchased all of my wedding accessories. I was trying to hold it together while I was in the store, but the farther into this conversation we got, the more upset I got. I ended up leaving the store in tears with no resolution. On my way home, I received a call from Amelia expressing she did want to do what she could to help, but I told her I had to think about my options. I also received a phone call from my consultant, Ann. She felt bad to hear what had happened and wanted to offer some other options. I told her my main concern was not wanting my parents to spend any more money on another dress, I couldn't ask them to do that. She said we can work with that. We scheduled a time for me to come back in and try on some of the dresses they had in my size on the floor, and see if maybe we could add a different color belt to my original dress and see if that would change my mind. I got a voicemail the day of the appointment saying she had to cancel because she couldn't give me the right attention with all of the other brides she had that day. I didn't get that voicemail until I was already on my way in, so I showed up to find Ann was not there, and not a single other bride was in that shop. A few of the ladies there helped me, although coldly, try on some other dresses, and I did find another dress that was offered at a discount to me. I ended up getting that dress for my wedding. My initial experience with Anjolique was great, but the second they realized they made a mistake, it went downhill. I wouldn't say not to shop here because they do have amazing dresses, but I would be cautious that your dress is ordered in the correct color. read more

Worst experience ever shopping for a maother of the bride dress. Should have left when I was left waiting at the door for entry for 10 minutes, even after they texted me and invited me to come early for my appointment. The consultant assigned to me offered me no help at all. Measured me at the front check in desk, which was a bit off putting. Ignored my express preferences. Was never advised until halfway through my appointment that they were only selling in stock items. Would not recommend this store to anyone! read more

Not accommodating at all... Had an appointment for the bride but she found her dress so we wanted to do Mother of the Bride and Groom dress shopping. Originally they said yes, not a problem, but then they changed their mind since we had 4 people that would be attending the appointment and then they proceeded to decline our appointment and said we had to come in mid-week. Unfortunately, we live out of state and they would not make any exceptions to our restrictions. So disappointed as they had several dresses that we were interested in on their website. read more
