I was extremely hesitant and nervous the first time and she is extremely patient and understanding and makes you feel comfortable. She uses hard wax that makes it much less painful, and is very quick and thorough. She got back to me only to tell me she couldn't squeeze my wife in this weekend. HOWEVER, I asked her if she could refer me to another stylist that she trusts. She gave me the number to a couple of stylists and said that 1 of them in particular had just moved here not too long ago and is just getting established so I could likely get scheduled with her. Katie Sullivan at Elixir Hair Studio. I sent Katie a text message and asked if she was available. I then explained to her what I wanted to do for my wife by not telling her she was having a hair spa day and that I wanted the whole experience to be a surprise. My wife hasn't had her hair colored and styled in years.... Katie immediately got excited and made it easy to do. I asked my wife to get off work early and drive to and park at McAllisters Deli(across from the studio) and someone would meet her there. I gave Katie the description of our car and sent her a pic of my wife. At 2:30, Katie met my wife at her car with a chocolate rose, welcomed her and explained who she was and that she was going to walk her to her salon and take care of her. My wife started sending me pics of the 2 of them in this adorable little personal salon tucked away in the Sola Salon studios. Katie opened Elixir studio inside of the Sola building and apparently made it her own. My wife will be writing her own review, Im sure, because not only did she come home stunning, she couldn't say enough about how this was the best hair experience that she has ever had. From the personal salon atmosphere where YOU are the center of attention, to the real, honest, genuine conversation, to the ready-made Mimosa, to the end results of her hair......my wife was BEAMING! Katie made the surprise experience better, and her skills with hair styling and coloring made it worth the super-duper 007 effort on my part. Katie made the whole experience personal, not just a business transaction. She treated Magan like a friend, not a client. Kudos to you young lady!
