Driving to this winery from Portland is a little bit of a drive but definitely under an hour. Once I arrived nearing the late afternoon the sunset was amazing and it looks so beautiful over the hills. The wine section is great and you can buy by the bottle And the prices for the bottles are very decent if you want a good quality wine between 25 and $45. The boots and the roses are delicious. I'm more of a red guy, but they have options for whites and Pinot Grigios. The service was very friendly and very informative about the tastings and what not and the history of the vineyard. Very nice spot overlooking the valley to come taste wine. Not to mention they have various drinking festivals here throughout the year that you don't want to miss. I came here for Bubblesfest this year and it was totally worth the raging day hangover. A friend of mine is a member here so we go for a tastings every few months. The ambience is chill yet elegant and the staff is always knowledgeable and eager to please. I've only had one wine I didn't like here and it was from the year they had the bad fires. This winery is a great place to visit, especially in the summer months on their patio. The view is beautiful and the staff oh so friendly. They do wine tasting as well as allowing you to purchase a bottle without doing wine tasting if you prefer to do that. We had a delightful time and purchased a bottle of wine and brought our own cheeses to enjoy with it. This place can accommodate a small group to a larger group of friends. Parking here is easy! Are we in Napa??? Quality/Quantity - My daughter and I got both flights and shared, see pictures. Atmosphere - Our first winery in Oregon, and this place is so similar to Napa, CA. Clean, modern, spacious environment. Bar and regular seating. Outdoor seating, but today it was raining... Beautiful views, vineyards, etc. Plenty of parking Service - Excellent. Shelly and the team did a great job. We were not able to make an appointment but took a gamble and drove there anyway. They went out of their way to seat us, and we still got a window seat. :) Customers are allowed to bring in their own snacks, which was perfect as my daughter was starving while I was thirsty. :) Price - $25 Anne Flight + $35 Amie Flight + tip. Wow, these views were absolutely spectacular!! Anne Amie vineyards are located on top of rolling hills in Carlton, Oregon. The views were absolutely breathtaking! They have a gorgeous outdoor patio with coveted umbrella seating and low picnic tables. It's surrounded by flowers, vineyards, and rolling hills. Unfortunately, it was raining when we visited so we had to sit inside. The inside was nice but I wish they had bigger windows and that the windows weren't covered by curtains so you could see the gorgeous view better. The service was great and the staff was extremely friendly. They were very knowledgeable and excited about their wines. The winery specializes in pinots; Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc. Their wines were just okay in our opinion. They weren't quite as strong as the wines we've had at other wineries in the area and we like them strong and bold. I'd definitely come back, the views themselves are worth it. A must visit in Oregon! read more

This was stop one of a three stop Dundee wine tasting day. I was the designated driver for a girls day out, but I got small samples of the wine and can vouch that this is a top quality vineyard. They put a lot of care and craftsmanship into their product, and are very knowledgeable and open to questions and discussion. We worked primarily with David, though Shelly and Debbie (the tasting room manager) were present at the front opening area and cordial. I took a bunch of pictures (included) because the layout is open and inviting. The natural light is marvelous, the openness and seating arrangement makes it easy to navigate and inviting to join in on the fun. The use of barrels as tables was clever, they have a few well placed drops of wine here and there to give it a rustic look, but it's also a benefit as any red wine spills from customers look like they are part of the decor (if it were to happen - this place was definitely clean). David was congenial, and receptive to my back-and-forth banter about the water. ("Is this the 2009 vintage, or the 2021 tap blend?" And so on. He had some good answers!) It was an overall stellar time and we'll be back on the regular! read more

This is probably my worst experience at a winery. My group of four arrived and were met with nothing short of judgement and unprofessionalism. We received our very small pours (compared to other tables), were never told anything about them, did not get water refills after requesting them, and finally were told they were closing and needed to pay. It seemed like we were not taken seriously during our entire visit, and were met with "you weren't planning on buying anything,right?" It was just disappointing to feel judged because of our age, and not engaged with. We enjoyed the wines, but the service turned us off. read more

Beautiful grounds, amazing wines! Definite win for our 1st stop of the day. They even have hammocks that I'm hoping to hang out in before heading back to California. Beautiful views. Tasting fees are $15 but waived with a purchase of $100 or more. My two favorites were the 2015 Estate Prisme Pinot Noir Blanc (A smooth, buttery finish like my favorite Chardonnay... but a Pinot!) and the 2016 Two Estates Pinot Noir. Such a lovely experience! My partner and I found this winery by accident while out for a Saturday afternoon drive, and we were extremely pleased with our experience. The tasting room is marvelous and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We really enjoy learning about the techniques used at each of the wineries we frequent, and they took the time to explain their art, which we appreciate. There was none of the snobbery you sometimes face while wine tasting, just genuine friendly conversation and sense of welcomeness. We ended up buying 3 bottles of the 2015 Two Estates Pinot noir, and we can't wait to share our find with loved ones! Most certainly will be back and highly recommend. PS the L'iris Pinot Noir was fabulous but a little out of our price range for this trip. However, if you're looking for a very approachable Pinot, this would be a crowd pleaser. read more

Definitely not a family friendly winery nor a friendly atmosphere. They advertise to bring your family for a picnic, we came on a Thursday at 1PM, there was 1 other group present. They skipped pours because we weren't fast enough, claimed our tasting needed to be within 90 minutes due to OLCC laws. As a licensed distributor and server I know that is untrue. Our kids were well behaved (for once) and not interuptive to the other group at all. We sat outside on the outskirts of the patio to ensure we were not distributive. Very disappointing to see yet another Oregon Winery go away from the origins of family growers showcasing our local harvests to a business catering to Californians here on vacation. ***Update: the manager did come apologize and comp our tastings. read more

I find that wines are kind of like art-everyone has an opinion of what they like-and snobbery abounds. As a wine tour regular- this is my favorite vineyard for the following reasons: 1. Beautiful vineyard with a nice outdoor area 2. Great wine (that's my opinion) 3. Great price point-you can pick up some fabulous bottles for under 20 dollars. 4. The staff is very knowledgeable about the wine, the area, and the grapes. Tasting is 5.00 for around 5-7 wines. They usually have case discounts as well. Went here based off a recommendation. Nobody was at front desk when we arrived so we sat ourselves. There was approximately 10-12 people there and one guy pouring at time. After sitting for 10 min a lady finally came up and in a not very pleasant way said " you managed to sneak by me". No hello or thank you for coming to our vineyard where all the others do. Started us out with champagne in a wine glass as part of their flight. After waiting 15 minutes the guy came over and poured us the second in the flight. Not even sure what it was other than white because he didn't bother to explain. (I really think they were mad at us for seating ourselves. ) After waiting another 10-15 we got up to leave. The lady asked us if we were ready for next flight. I told her was taking to long and we were done and willing to pay what we owe for two pours. She was nice enough to say no charge which was appropriate. If they want people to wait to be seated then post a sign. But above all when you're competing with 800 Oregon wineries you may want to have some customer service. read more

New York Times wine critic Eric Asimov is the guy who introduced us to Anne Amie. Well, sort of.. In February we read Asimov's column in which he overall dissed Oregon Pinot Gris. But in a sort of backhanded complimentary way he said something about like this, "If you must drink Oregon Pinot Gris the one we thought best was produced by Anne Amie Vineyards." Unlike Mr. Asimov, we like Oregon Pinot Gris. A lot. But we had not tried Anne Amie's bottlings. So last week we made a field trip to the winery to fix that oversight. BOTTOME LINE: Here's how our experience went and what you may find too at Anne Amie: Lovely setting with great views, good tasting set up, OK wines, sketchy access. SETTING: Lovely location at the site that formerly housed Chateau Benoit. Sort of "Chateau Shabby Euro-Chic" interior. Spectacular view. You can sit outside on the big patio and take in the view - with or without a glass of wine. TASTING SET UP: Tasting was offered in two options.. Standard flight was $5 and reserve flight was $10. Each flight was about six pours. We opted for the reserve. The tasting fee is refunded only with purchases of $50 or more. SERVICE: If a barrista is someone pouring coffee at a coffee bar, what is the title of the person who pours at a wine tasting bar? Regardless, she was delightfully knowledgeable about the industry and Anne Amie wines. We were the only visitors in the tasting room, so she had lots of time and we also had the chance to talk about food and wine pairings. Fun. WINE: Anne Amie Pinot Noirs drink a little "hot" (high alcohol) for us. Different strokes for different folks. As for the Pinot Gris, the Winter's Hill PG was the pour in the reserve flight. For us, this had too much oak on the finish that fought with letting the fruit come forward. With respect for Mr. Asimov's opinon, but there are several Oregon vintners whose Pinot Gris we enjoy more including Elk Cove and Chehalem. We were pleased to learn that Anne Amie is bottling Riesling! We are always interested in tasting what Oregon vintners are doing to advance this most food friendly varietal. We bought some of the Anne Amie Riesling to take home. Anne Amie also bottles a port styled dessert wine called Cuvee a Rubies that we thought was"very berry jammy" yummy to drink. ACCESS: Former NYTimes restaurant critic Frank Bruni started paying attention to equal access for people of all abilities when a friend, who dined and drank with him, needed to use a wheelchair. She was exactly the same person on four wheels as she was on two feet but Bruni discovered while she was "first class guest" on feet she became "second class" on wheels given building owners kept in place access barriers to her equal participation. We pay attention to access too these days. So, It was disappointing to find Anne Amie misses the first and most basic requirements as outlined in the ADA standards and that is accessible parking. To get from the parking to the paved walkway leading to the door requires traveling through deep, loose gravel which is from difficult to impossible for a wheelchair user. That means our friends and family who are lawyers, accountants, small business owners, students and former US servicemen and who use wheelchairs don't have access to participate. That means lost business for wineries because we who travel with them won't participate either. Parking is among easiest and most inexpensive corrections, readily achieveable is the legal language term. They need to fix this big flaw. And if they need a primo example of how to get equal access for people of all abilities right at a winery tasting room can be found at nearby Penner-Ash winery. Absolutely top notch outcome for access...and stellar wines to boot. But that's a different review. read more

William got us set up and had a large area set aside for our people. We did cases of wine rather than tastings for ease, and it was nice that water, and wines were already set for when we arrived. My partner and I had a great time at Anne Amie yesterday. Can't say enough good things about the view and the service. Each wine in the tasting was served and explained individually, giving us the space and time to taste and appreciate each wine. Our server Mary Lou was friendly and knowledgeable. It was a much more enjoyable experience than other vineyards we visited that day that served and explained all wines at the beginning. Also, the previous vineyard we visited sat us a half hour late, so we were nervous about missing our tasting appointment at Anne Amie, but they we extremely understanding and accommodating about needed to push our reservation back at the last minute. Lastly, the view from the deck was the best of any the vineyard we visited. It overlooked the mountains and the vineyard. Anne Amie made our visit to the Willamette Valley so enjoyable, a must stop! read more

Really appreciated this place. This was our first stop in a day of wine tasting and I was really excited to try their wines. They had samplings of a special cuvee they had been working on, and I noticed that they have Cuvee de Mayo event on Cinco de Mayo that sounded super fun (too bad I live so far away). The folks who worked at this place were super nice and informative, and made it easy for us all to taste their products. After a day of running errands oh so close to Christmas we were on our way back to my house and thought we should stop at a vineyard we had yet to try. We had been to Otis and Lincoln City earlier and thought we might as well stop in here as we headed back to Portland. Beautiful weather on the beach and socked in with fog the farther in land we went. As we headed up the hill to Anne Amie we couldn't see our hand in front of our face so I can only imagine that the view is wonderful in the summer. We walked in and it is a beautiful area but as the guy pointed out there is signage that says they do not do weddings there, although, it would be beautiful enough to. They have a regular flight and a reserve flight as Michele R points out and since we were in the buying mood (read the guy wanted to buy wine-hee) we opted for the regular flight as the reserve flight looked a bit out of our range. I loved all the ones that we tasted to include the dessert wine which I'm normally not a huge fan of. We ended up buying two bottles of Pinot Noir which we both love and the tasting fee was waived. The staff was pleasant and well informed on the wines. I would definitely stop by in nicer weather to be able to sit outside and enjoy the views. I'll definitely be back to try this again. read more

Well this was a BIG disappointment! Walked in and no one was at the counter to greet us so we stood around a few minutes or more. Then we asked for a bottle of Gris. Cold as we wanted to picnic. Confused her that we were not there to do a wine tasting Flight. So after we got the wine we were told we had to go way out back to have our picnic lunch. Wayyy outttt baaccckkk. Doomsville. Dead grass, wasps( I'm allergic) crap in the grass that we picked up. Being the Hicks we are The table was old wooden picnic table with very rough wood. Good thing we had an umbrella or it would have been even more of a disastrous lunch. The wine was good. The winemaker, a French guy and his helper cane out to move tables. No hello Hi how are you enjoying your visit nada zip We asked do you need this table as well? No, you can stay there. Oh gee thanks!! Lol So we finish our lunch quickly as we were being invaded by wasps. Took our self's up to the other tables. Whew made up on the world. Threw out the trash we made and what we picked up. Enjoyed the rest of our Gris...sorta the french guy sprayed for wasps! Crap now they're bad and mad! Ghess my heart was pouring I'd get bit and stung. I think that should have been done in the morning prior to the doors opening. Wasn't impressed at all. Sadly we wanted to enjoy our visit. Not so much. We have been wine club members for a little while, and feel for the price point the Pinots are good. Good not great. We continue to be disappointed by the poor customer service on a variety of fronts as well as the very limited Pinot selection. We are currently in review of our membership to decide if we wish to continue. We also find the screw on bottle cap across all the Pinot's to not be in keeping with finer Pinots. How can any wine continue to age without a cork? We asked about this to a tasting room staff member who replied that the wine maker feels the wine is perfect as its bottled. Really...... read more

This is a massive estate that's more Napa-fied that most of what I saw in the area (so far). It's also kind of way out in the middle of nowhere, but that's how many of the wineries in this very rural area are, so if you go.. be prepared to drive. Spectacular views, and the wines are good, even if they were not my favorite of the trip. Since we were there during the off season (December 05), we were the only ones tasting during our visit and I suppose I would have expected the staff to be a little more attentive. They were knowledgeable, when asked, but not particularly friendly or helpful. Stand-offish, maybe? I dunno. I just kept getting the feeling like they didn't think we were going to buy anything and even if we did, they just kind of wanted us out of there. Maybe it was just an off day. Still, I would visit again and I was glad that they were one of the few that were open year round. They had cute, chubby cat laying around too... and he was very friendly. My first visit to Anne Amie was during the Young Professionals of Yamhill County Meeting after hours which Luke, their event coordinator hosted. I was excited to come to the vineyard since I had already tried the wines at a First Friday event. The tasting room is gorgeous, it is thoughtfully decorated and spacious. The wines were as good as I remembered and I felt compelled to join the wine club on the spot. Luke was an amazing and charming host, I can't wait to come back with friends soon.
