My sister and I visited on a late July Sunday afternoon and really loved it! We had a great time trying wines although it was my first time so no promises that the wines are knock your socks of, I thought they were pretty darn good especially for the 25$ a flight. The cheese and bread board was simply delightful, my personal favorite. Beautiful vineyard, drive and venue area. Everybody was very kind and the ambiance was perfectly balanced. Sarah was a lovely server who cared about her job and presented everything in a bubbly manner. The lavender marion berry jam was so good I asked after about it and was given a sample jar! My first time here and I will for sure be back! A welcoming, beautiful and comfortable place to relax and enjoy your wine tasting at your own pace. I purchase tickets for a special event they were having with The Willamette Pizza Company; rosé release and pizza pairing. This event was the perfect size, ticketed, well thought out and an affordable price. The pizza was soooooo amazing I feel that it should be it's own review eventually! But the pizzas made to be with the wine were really the perfect pairing, complimented each other with everyone getting seconds and thirds. The servers here were wonderful, it wasn't until after a few hours of enjoying the event did I realize the ladies pouring the wine were the wine makers and owners! Made me love the experience even more. I took home a few bottles and enjoyed an extra glass of bubbly outside the event offerings. read more

We had a great stop at Kramer Vineyards on our trip to the Willamette Valley. I love that they have options for tasting flights. I had the sparkling flight and my husband had the red wine flight. It was fun to try sparkling wines because there weren't a ton of sparkling wines at other places we visited. The property is beautiful and the service was great. They were very helpful when I called after our visit because of a charge from Tock (the service they use for making reservations) I didn't understand. read more

This turned out to be the last tasting room we visited on our vacation and it did not disappoint. It is not a fancy tasting room , but very functional. You feel comfortable in there. Spent a fair amount of time talking with Kim Kramer, the winemaker (and daughter of the owners) who was serving us. I liked the wines she was making. Ended up buying some of her 2014 Pommard Pinot Noir and a bottle of the 2016 Syrah (sourced from Washington grapes, not estate). The syrah was one of the very few not Pinot Noir bottles I bought on the trip. I spent most of my time in the tasting view talking with Kim while my wife wandered outside to sit and enjoy the view. read more

I can't say enough how this fab vineyard. We popped in without a reservation hoping it would work out and we were lucky that they had one table. But I would recommend calling first to guarantee you can visit! The people were friendly and attentive. Wine and bubbles were delish. Very cute little winery and gift shop. We started of with a brut, méthode champenoise that was nice. The other whites for me fell quite flat and her pours were rather miserly. It is really hard to form an opinion with such a small taste. Lucky for me my girlfriend gave me hers ;) The reds were not that impressive either, still too young tasting. And hmmm...we didn't get to keep our glasses like another review says that they got to keep theirs. The "Big Red" was the best of the bunch but at $30.00 a bottle, take your money to Trader Joes and spend $5.00 and get something better. read more

I came here for the sparkling and was not disappointed. The Sparkling Pinot Gris is stunning especially for the price. Out of all the wines we tried, I would say that it was the most memorable and if I could just drop my other sparkling club...than this wine alone is a reason for me to sign up! As far as the property, its beautiful! We visited several wineries on Tuesday and this was the most memorable. The lush greenery is surrounding the tasting room but stretches as far as the eyes can see too. I love tasting rooms where you see valley view but being at Kramer feels like your tucked away in the mountains. Summer will be phenomenal here. I also need to comment on Kramer's Big Red...bold, succulent blackberries, and unique. In a valley of Pinot, I was smitten to try this wine. Kramer...I'll return. 5 stars if you can open all the bubbles...I know the Brut is for members only but that could be the key to a new member. read more

Just the drive to this vineyard will relax you and get you ready to kick back with the fine scenery of hills full of jazz music even. I am more fond of the smaller intimate wineries and this is a fine one. They've got their dogs running free as well and they seem to be very comfortable in their environment. Got a wine tasting of about 9 different wines and enjoyed the Pinot the best. This winery has been here for 30 some odd years and one of their pinots reflect that by the old grapes. They also have some very nice bubbly too which is very refreshing this time of year. They don't always have jazz so if you like that combination give them a call to see who's playing. read more

Lots and lots of wines to try!!!!!!!!!! I have to say they had a pretty good Rose (even though I don't like Rose) and a pretty good Port (very little brandy added, fruit forward, and everything that a good Port wine should be) that made the experience memorable. Their Merlot, was also surprisingly good, and better than most other Oregonian or Californian Merlots I've had in the past (low on the alcohol and lots of layers). Their Pinot Noirs were balanced, non offensive, however short lengthed and muted, thus not worth bragging about. They also have two black labs on the property that love being petted, and definitely put you in a great mood!! I would definitely go back, and recommend the experience and the wine!!!!! Hands down one of the best wineries in the Portland area. Such a delight. It is crush right now, so we had an opportunity in seeing the wine being crushed and fermented into barrels. We ordered the Cheve and jam with crackers to compliment our wine. It is $9, but the serving is massive and is a great thing to order for 2-4 people. It tasted amazing. Prices are reasonable, and their wine is fantastic. I love their dessert wines. Always is a s good as it can get. Don't forget to pet Cosmos, the wine dog while you take in the winery and vineyard. During our days in the Willamette Valley we HAD to visit Kramer Vineyards as our cousins/sisters trip had one thing in common - the last name (or mom's maiden name) of Kramer! We needed to find out more about our possible relatives. After arriving to a warm welcome from Becky and some cold bubbly, we chatted about our Kramer relatives from Germany and any crossover (none that we knew of). Becky was the best host we could ask for. The Kramer wines? Fantastic! I think we would've stayed all day if we could. We tried sparkling, whites, reds - you name it. They are known for their sparkling and their reds and they are wonderful. I bought a bottle of each (I would've bought more but was limited by airplane space). Becky took us out to see the vineyards and introduced us to her dad, who was working in the winemaking area. During the time we were there, two people came in who were members to pick up their allotments. The feeling of the customers and winery was homey, mellow and so friendly. I wish I lived nearby, as I would be a member too. We reluctantly left (with lots of Kramer gear) and said goodbye to Becky. I heartily recommend this place. One note of advice... there are two ways to arrive. One is a long, winding route over gravel roads. The other is more direct. Our Google maps took us the long way. Check out a map first. It's worth it though, no matter how you get there. read more

Kramer Vineyards is a small family run winery just outside the heart of downtown Gaston. The Kramer family is very friendly and eager to introduce you to their history. The winery which was founded in the early 1980's is easily recognized by their beloved wine dog depicted on the label. They've even named a few of their lots after the two daughters whom help run the winery. Kramer produces many types of wine but is most known for their Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Muller Thurgau production. Although not a sparkling fan I enjoyed their Brut which was a 50/50 blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Surprisingly the Pinot's character came through stronger than the Chardonnay offering strawberry and sour cherry fruits while finishing crisp with a light zest. They have chosen to make their Muller an off-dry style, yet it retains a floral nose with a slight sweetness from its residual sugar before the finish. As for the reds, in my opinion their Estate Pinots were thin, overly oaked, and have too subtle fruit variations verses tannin structure. Ultimately this washed out the flavor leaving a flabby finish with more to be desired. Pricing ranges from $20 - $38 for wines that I feel are less approachable and overall inflated when compared to other offerings in the valley. They also released a Walla Walla Valley sourced Barbera and have a ruby style Pinot Port. The Barbera was big with substantial flavor but to me had a slight metallic aftertaste. While the port was lighter than I like it still had a nice complex fruit profile without all the alcohol but again overpriced. Still I recommend you visit Kramer and decide for yourself, because regardless you'll be welcomed to enjoy the views and taste a broad spectrum of wines. read more

Shantel at Kramer is the 8th wonder of the world! She was so fantastic and welcoming!! She knew all there was to know about the wines and the winemakers. She's been in the wine industry and has a wonderful appreciation for the process and was incredibly helpful and thoughtful. We had our first barrel tasting ever and were so happy to share it with her! We also met with Kimberly (daughter of the original owners) who was so cordial and welcoming with her knowledge and love and appreciation of truly fine wine! I'm long delinquent in writing this...I've been drinking Keith's wines for many a year. Now that Kim has joined her father, the wines have both a new voice and the harmonies are outstanding! I'm with Bronwyn E. in feeling that Kramer is truly one of the best wineries around. The wines are outstanding and greater every year. I was most recently at the 2014 Heritage vertical tasting last weekend (11/1/2014) and it was another exceptional event. Tasting the wines from 2006-2014 was an eye opening walk through the terroir of Kramer's best wine. The differences reflected the climate changes, the deft hand of the winemaker, and really showed a lot for those interested in learning about wines over time. The thing about Kramer's wines are that they take the perspective of both trying new things but also respecting how each year's grapes arrive at crush. You can taste the cold years, the warm years, the lean and the rich years. What made the event, though, was talking to Keith and Kim as they curated the wines across the years. There is so much love put into the wine that you can hardly miss it. The family has done great things. I have a significant love of small, family-run wineries and now that there's a second generation making wine, I know that Kramer will certainly outlast me! I am a member of Kramer's Cellar Door Wine club and I cannot imagine anything short of financial issues ever dropping this membership. You should do yourself a favor and take the time to visit on your next wine tasting! Oh, and if you should visit on a day that neither Keith nor Kim are around, Shantel or her staff will lead you through an great wine journey! I went with a large group of friends to several wineries and this was one of the friendliest and most accommodating by far. Their wines were delicious, their knowledge about win and ability to talk about each pour was fun to listen to, and they did everything they could to make sure that everyone was included in the tastings and were enjoying themselves. They make some amazing wines and I was so glad to have been able to go. It was a little off my radar and luckily a friend knew just how great it really was. So worth a visit! read more

Cute little place tucked away up the hill from Elk Cove. 7 samples for $5 - good wine - very drinkable. They had a special while we were there - buy one case of '07, get one for $7 during the month of July - hell yes! And the wines are very reasonable priced - little less expensive than other wineries in the area! So we had some more tastes of the '07s - and supposedly it's an off year, but it was still very tasty. We had one bottle before leaving OR and it was better than what we had tasted in the tasting room, so definitely looking forward to getting the next case and trying those out! read more

We had the best experience here the other weekend! It was our winery stop 2/3 and we were hoping for a diverse flight and some food to pair with. We sat outside on the deck for some sunshine. The place has a cute country charm feel and is casual and comfortable. There were at least 4 generous flight options to go with and we chose the Flagship Flight, which was exactly diverse and delicious! We particularly loved the Müller and Heritage wines. We also ordered several things from the food menu for our group - the charcuterie board was incredible and generously portioned, the pretzel sticks were perfect and tasty, and the chèvre with blackberry spread was very refreshing paired with the brut! I generally feel that menu items are usually skimpy at most wineries in the area, but the was a legitimate meal and our group left very happy and satisfied. The customer service was very prompt and kind, making the experience all the more homey and comfortable. This was our best stop out of our wine tour day and we can't wait to go back! read more

Kramer has a great patio and is such a great space to enjoy a summer day! The indoor tasting room has a nice ambiance. they do offer a fair amount of food items as well which is nice. Great space for special events when they have live music. However, we weren't super excited about the wines here. The one wine that did stand out was the Muller Thurgau Estate they also offer it as a sparkling wine. read more

Kramer Vineyards was recommended to me by someone at a different winery, and I am very pleased to have gone to Kramer. I enjoyed the tastings and loved their sparkling wine - Muller Thurgau. I bought a bottle, and when I opened it at home, I enjoyed it enough to serve it at Thanksgiving. My 10 guests drank it like water, it was that good. On Thanksgiving wine weekend, I had to go back to Kramer and buy some more of it. Very easy to drink, especially if you like a somewhat sweet sparkling wine. read more

Went here a few weeks ago and had one of the best wine tastings I've ever had. The sparkling wine was so good, I had 6 shipped back to the east coast. Shantel did our tasting and was very personable and accommodating. What really impressed me was that when I got back and received my shipment, there was a handwritten note from Shantel, wishing me a great rest of my trip and thanking me for visiting the winery.
