I was impressed from the first phone call - making my facial appointment with the warm and efficient receptionist Nancy (pictured in the bottom right of my collage). Upon arrival to Rejuvenation, I discovered a beautiful facility that radiated a calm luxury. I had an amazing Platinum HydraFacial with the talented and kind Esthetician Madelyn Dempsey (pictured in the top center of my collage) A week later I returned and she expertly dyed my eyelashes for the holidays! Is this place addictive? Because next week I'm going back for a consultation with Amanda Donaway about a few other little things I'd like to improve! This place is some kind of wonderful and I'm so glad it's right here at the beach! I had MOH's surgery at Dr. Burkes along with Dr. Thornton. It was the worst experience I have ever…read morehad, and I had 3 other MOH's surgeries to compare it to which were done in Annapolis. The stitches were left in way to long & the directions for caring for the extensive wound they created were unheard of by any other dermatologist. The worst part was, with a highly infected wound, 3/4 of the stitches were removed without numbing or pain medicine. The rest were left in for another week that ended up imbedded and needed to be cut out. Both doctors did nothing to address any concerns. Please go elsewhere for care.

I said what about my problem...the reason I was there....and she turned back. Looked at it. I can't remember the outcome of that actually. I got the impression I was in a factory and that she wanted to squeeze in as many skin checks....which if you have ever had your skin checked you know her version of a skin check needs to be addressed....as she could. I didn't check but wish I had to look at the EOB from my insurance company to see how much money she made on looking at me across a room. And 2 things you need to know. Every inch of your skin needs to be checked when it is checked. Melanoma is NOT dependent on the sun to be created. You are entitled to dignity while being examined. There are so few dermatologists in Salisbury. I can't remember exactly but I don't think dermatology was her specialty initially....maybe she was an internist turned dermatologist? not sure. It might save your life to drive to Annapolis. You are worth it. PS The wait was over an hour. I don't like her. I would never go back.

This is not coming from me but from another reputable dermatologist. I came in after 6 weeks of his treatment with horrible cystic acne and over 40 active pimples when I had 5 small ones. I couldn't sleep on the sides of my face without waking up with blood or wounded pimples on my face. I went to them because I was concerned about this and they thought I had a bacterial infection since it was so bad. After that came up negative they told me to STAY ON THE SAME PROGRAM (which was very abrasive to anyone's face) and not change anything. I knew this sounded wrong and found a different dermatologist through a friend. They gave me a new cream treatment that is way better for my face and didn't just brush off my problems as "purging" because it clearly was more than that. After a week my face was doing better and healing but I have scars that will last forever because of this. DO NOT GO TO THEM FOR ANY ACNE TREATMENT!!! He sounds intelligent and I'm sure he is but I think his methods for this type of dermatological problem is outdated. Please please do not go to them for acne. I will never forgive what it's done to my face and the problems I now have because of it.

An infection in my nose and forehead was overlooked, and skin was grafted over what turned out to be an undiagnosed infection. I spent over a year in and out of hospitals, not understanding what was wrong, until another doctor finally diagnosed me with osteomyelitis--an infection that had reached my skull. Rather than acknowledge what happened, Dr. Chang retained experts who made deeply upsetting and humiliating claims about me during trial. It felt like I was put on trial for what had been done to me. I've been left with permanent physical and emotional damage. Everyone deserves to make their own choice, but I personally would not recommend Dr. Chang. If you're looking for a compassionate and skilled surgeon, I had an excellent experience with Dr. John Gillespie, who ultimately corrected the issues I experienced.

All diagnosed me with "some form of eczema". Now, I have a new rash on my torso. I saw Teresa Gilliland, CRNP, and she was wonderful! She immediately diagnosed me with seborrheic dermatitis and a heat rash. I can finally get relief after 2 years of being misdiagnosed and burning up the bank account purchasing all kinds of creams for eczema.
