When visiting dermatologists in the past, I would often spend more time with the nurse than the actual doctor. Dr. Edwards entered the room, sat and listened to my acne life story from beginning to end. Her genuine concern and determination to provide a lasting solution was so comforting. The initial regimen she subscribed didn't provide the results she was satisfied with, so on the next few visits she tweaked the regimen until she was satisfied with the results. But the visits weren't all about her satisfaction! Dr. Edwards informed me that she was quite the perfectionist and told me to slow her down or say pause if it seemed like she was seeking perfection beyond my comfort zone. As months went by, my face totally cleared up. I've suffered with acne off and on since I was 15 years old and my face has NEVER looked this good. I've had a clear face before, but there would always be bumps under the surface. My complexion is as close to flawless as I've ever experienced. In my first visit, I was almost in tears due to the severity of my acne. I would cry myself to sleep each night and didn't want to leave the house during the day. My most recent visit to Dr. Edwards left both of us hugging each other and feeling relieved at how much my life had changed as a result of her efforts to clear my skin. I will pay any amount of money to continue seeing Dr. Edwards.

I am very, very satisfied and happy with Dr. Toner and his entire staff. They are very efficient, skilled, accessible, and friendly. Both surgery spots are healing excellently! Additionally, the office environment is modern, clean, and comfortable. I love to wait in the shaded patio outside their door while my lab results are being processed. And, he office building is accessible, with plenty of parking.

Thinking it must have been an accidental disconnection, surely a professional medical office wouldn't be that incredibly rude, my wife called back. She wanted to clarify if perhaps there was a misunderstanding, or if a specific provider within the practice did accept our insurance. Instead of a brief conversation, she was immediately hung up on for a second time. This was not a fluke. This was deliberate, hostile, and utterly unprofessional. The level of disrespect and arrogance displayed by this staff is absolutely astounding. I do not understand how a business like this stays operating, though in a place like Calvert, they likely only survive because patients have so few other options. Even if we decided to pay completely out of pocket, I would never, under any circumstances, patronage this clinic. If this is how they treat people over a simple phone inquiry, I dread to think how they treat patients under actual medical care. Do yourself a favor and find a clinic that possesses basic human decency and professional standards.

I received a call less than a week after the biopsy (no cancer, yay!) I couldn't have wished for better experience.

So after several phone tags later to my home phone, I then decided to text my cell to them, but they returned a call again to the wrong number. This is a common experience these days with doctors I use, in which the patient must be immediately available to answer their call backs on their schedule, not yours. I'm sure all doctors are unaware of this problem, and thus losing potential patients. So what I end up doing is either finding another doctor or going there in person and making an appointment.

I felt complete trust as the classical music was playing, and I reclined back while the surgery took place. When I took off the bandages after a few days, I was so surprised that the scar was small and barely noticeable! She had been vary careful to make the incision blend in. I highly recommend her.

Incorrect bookings of appointments, appointments regularly moved to other locations, frequent cancellations, and a buggy, unreliable patient portal all make for constant headaches when dealing with this practice. Seemingly constant turnover of front desk staff can't be helping. It's a shame, because the dermatologists have been wonderful, it's just otherwise a miserable patient experience.

Physician availability has declined, so it often takes weeks or even months to get an appointment. Worse yet, the phone system for contacting the practice is nightmarish, and you simply can't call them directly. Now that the practice is owned by private equity, supposed staffing "efficiencies" have made it unpleasant to be a patient.
