I learned about Dr. Perkins from a client of mine and have since referred others to his practice. I find him extremely knowledgeable as well as having a calming bedside manner, which is important to many, including myself. The practice is busy, but thats only bc they are great, along with their staff. That being said, they take enough time to not not make patients feel rushed and are really good at advocating for people with their insurance companies. The only negative, which is minor, it's in a fairly busy part of downtown. Street parking is available, but leave extra time. Their is a very close metro and Uber as well. read more

I visited Dr. Perkins late 2023 for a skin growth removal. Biopsy concluded that it was cancerous. His immediate interest for my well-being and action to refer me to the right specialists in the field may have been life-saving. Soon after I was diagnosed with Stage IV, Big C. Since then I see him every three months for a full skin examination. He is friendly, always on time, efficient, listens well and explains clearly. Let me premise my review by saying everyone is allowed to have a bad day, even doctors so that's why I'm rating two stars instead of one. I brought three dermatology related concerns to my appointment with Dr Perkins, which was apparently too much to ask based on Dr Perkins reaction. I felt rushed and when I informed Dr Perkins that I would like to do research on a potential prescription medication prior to taking it, his response was condescending. This was my second visit to Dr. P and the first wasn't nearly as bad, I have no doubt he is a competent doctor but his bedside manner leaves much to be desired. read more

I called to get an appointment during working hours and it went to voicemail so I signed up for an appointment online. They called me back and left a voicemail directing me to call them back to setup an appointment, and again, nobody is there to answer the call. What's the point of inviting someone to setup an appointment online, collecting their information online, but then not securing the appointment online or via email but making them call back into the failed phone system that prompted them to go online in the first place.
